The service we have received has been excellent. We have used Home Instead for the last four years and not only have they looked after Mum with excellent care, they have also looked after me, as a family member, and been there for me when things have been challenging with Mum. Mum was very fond of many
of the carers and never had a bad word to say about any of them. I was able to work with Home Instead at all times, to adapt the care package to meet Mum's needs over time, through friendly and professional discussions, some of which were outside of working hours and at no point was the service provided compromised in any way.

They provided an excellent service for my mother when she returned home after a brief spell in hospital following a fall. The communication was first-class (they also have an app with a report each time they visited).
The team enabled my mother to stay living at home as independent as she could be.
Thank you once again.

My mother has three visits from carers each day since returning home after breaking her leg last autumn. I have found the carers well-qualified, pleasant and helpful and my mother has developed a good rapport with them. Home Instead provide a very reliable service. Let my mother know if a carer has
been delayed and so far have never let us down, even after a snowfall in December.

I am so pleased we chose Home Instead. They provide an extremely good service. My sister has them once a day to oversee her medicines which she was forgetting to take and causing health problems. As I live away from my sister it is reassuring to know she is being cared for and is able to continue living
in her own home.
They offer so much help in the home from light cleaning to bed-making, shopping and making her a sandwich for lunch. All things that now she finds difficult and unable to do for herself. Perhaps most importantly they provide a daily, friendly companionship.

I turned to this company when my aunt needed home care for an extended time with personal care, light cleaning and meal preparation needed, but also social friendship. I was delighted with the professional approach. Everything was explained fully, terms, contacts and emergency care.
My aunt was delighted
with the carers' personal and friendly approach. Care ended due to health complications and she is now in a nursing home. The help provided kept her living to a really good standard for almost a year.
I recommend this company highly. It is not cheap, but you get an excellent service, with a full hour each session and additional help available. It was worth everything to have peace of mind, great staff and the highest level of safeguarding.

Home Instead have been amazing since Granda came out of hospital. The speed at which you were able to upgrade his care requirements and the support he has received to be able to return home is fantastic. We really are grateful for everything you do. One of the carers deserves a special mention. She’s
been incredible, Granda’s house has never looked better, she goes above and beyond and I’m so thankful she’s involved in his care.

My mum had 3 carers a day. She was well looked after and at times the office staff arranged to cover for doctor’s appointments and if Mum wasn’t well they arranged for a carer to stay with her longer. The carers were always friendly and took good care of my mum.

I was devastated to have to leave a home of nearly 30 years. I settled here in the area when I was still perfectly fine. But lately, that has changed and I need regular care. This care afforded me by Home Instead, has been and indeed is a lifeline. Their carers are friendly, intelligent people who converse
on an amiable basis on a variety of subjects. Their attitude is always completely professional and their help is always unstinting given.

The service provided by Home Instead is both excellent and exceptional, the office staff, as well as those on the frontline, are friendly and diligent in performing their duties; in every instance, they are most cooperative when it comes to answering questions as well as when it comes to doing household
chores. We have been using Home Instead for six months and have absolutely no cause for complaint - I warmly and wholeheartedly commend them for the superb job which they do.

An excellent service is provided for complete peace of mind. They went above and beyond for my dad, and I am sorry we have had to stop using them. This was due to dad finally getting a diagnosis and future care is being provided through social services. Home Instead always came at the quoted times and
it was really easy to keep in touch with them. The app is an amazing tool for families to check in with what has happened in each visit. I would like to thank all the staff again for everything they did for my dad.

Friendly, reliable and helpful people both at home and in the office. Looked after Mum well and kept her safe even though she wasn’t the easiest of people to deal with! Would happily recommend them to anyone needing extra help at home to maintain independence. Many thanks for everything you did for
Mum.

My wife and I have been very fortunate to use the Home Instead (Retford and Gainsborough) branch. Every carer and manager has shown excellent standards.
This has been our first example of the care system. We have learned so much in the past few months and will never accept anything less than the standards
shown by your organisation.
Thanks for everything.

Top marks for the team at Home Instead absolutely faultless. The caregivers are highly trained and professional in their care, yet they have been more like extended family in helping my Aunt. They have gone above and beyond many times in what can be a difficult job and for that I am very grateful. Timekeeping
is brilliant, always knowing who is coming is a very big help to someone who has dementia and routine is everything. Home Instead ticks all the boxes on every level, any queries just phone the office and easily sorted. In my Aunt's home jobs have got done because they know it needs doing, without having to ask. Thank you very much for all your help I cannot recommend you highly enough.

I have nothing but praise for the staff that deliver such great care to our mother. Always delivered with dignity, patience and care. We are so reassured by the care at a time when bad press if often given in general about this service and feel able to keep Mum in her own home with these lovely staff
supporting us.

Home Instead (Retford and Gainsborough) are an amazing company. We needed to sort care for my parents very quickly, and the team at Home Instead were fantastic and made it happen. Not only that, the caregivers are all brilliant - professional, hard-working and friendly. Other healthcare professionals
have spotted that we're using them, and have commented "they're the best". I would whole-heartedly recommend them.

I highly recommend and cannot fault the care Mum has received. Each carer has taken time to get to know her as an individual and treats her as a special person. Communication between her care team is excellent any concerns or plans for the day are passed on for the next visit. The team noticed issues
and gently made suggestions that have improved Mum's life. Personal care is managed with dignity. Overall management is good, always available. In an emergency situation, Home Instead contacted me, stayed with Mum as long as necessary, reacting calmly and effectively. The app is reassuring, giving a brief summary of every visit. Excellent service, wonderful team.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

Hello, My name is Victoria, aka Tori.

Within my role at Home Instead, I wear many hats although my primary focus is on care coordination, This involves scheduling client visits with appropriate Care Professionals, and ensuring all client visits are allocated to care professionals who have similar personalities, likes and interests. I also ensure that clients and care professionals have the best possible experience when meeting for the first time by conducting Introductions between clients and care professionals.

I worked in the care industry many years ago however my predominant career was as a Groom/Au Pair. I have always been very caring, be it towards animals or people so when my mum was diagnosed with early onset Dementia at 52 years old it was the push I needed to get back into a caring employed role and be able to make a difference to people’s lives. I was unable to do this daily for my parents as they don’t live close enough. (I had been out of work for 5 years whilst raising my 3 young children).

From my first communication and then the interview I knew I couldn’t have picked a better company to work for, Home instead really is a family and we really are the best at what we do, I initially started as a care professional working mainly evenings and weekends, however, built my hours up as my middle child went to nursery full time, from there I became a senior care professional alongside my care professional clients, I was responsible for the quality assurance process, ensuring that Clients are receiving the best care possible whilst still maintaining the relationships with the clients I had been caring for the previous 2 years.

In August 2022 I became lucky enough to be offered the full-time role I am currently in. I love the fact that I can still continue to make a difference in clients' lives by working for a leading home care provider and ensuring clients receive exceptional care, the care I wish I could give daily to my mum.

Hiya, I’m Chloe and I am responsible for all recruitment and training of new care professionals.

I joined the Home Instead family in February 2022 after deliberating for quite some time, I began work as a care professional on evenings and weekends around my 9-5 job and found myself falling in love with the role.

Following this, I decided to move full-time to Home Instead in September 2022 under the recruitment and training wing whilst still keeping my foot in seeing clients and talking to them on a regular basis.

Although I might be young, I have done my fair share of jobs and have never found a job as fulfilling and rewarding as working for Home Instead. From personal experience of helping care for my outstanding Great Grandma, I understand the importance of high-quality, compassionate care and I am proud to play my part as much as possible in supporting new staff to build relationships and enhance the quality of their client’s lives.

When I’m not in interviews or training, I assist in day-to-day activities in the office and act as a source of entertainment for all!
