Home Instead is providing an invaluable service to my father that is enabling him to live independently at the family home despite the recent loss of my mother. Members of staff are supporting him to learn new skills in the kitchen and in general housekeeping while recognising the emotional journey
he is on. Caregivers treat him with respect and take time to talk with him, listening to him as a friend. Home Instead's involvement has given me the confidence to continue my life and take occasional breaks in the knowledge that Dad is safe and being helped to enjoy life again. Input from Home Instead management is also excellent. Despite challenges from the pandemic, not one visit has been cancelled. It is also important for me that the management team is approachable and keeps the family in the loop. All in all, Home Instead offers a high quality, reliable service that supports him and he rebuilds his life.

After leaving a previous company, I am very happy and satisfied with the care I'm receiving. A breath of fresh air! There is chat, but this goes on whilst jobs are being undertaken. I'm pleased to be washed and creamed each day, which is a very new experience. Jobs are well done. It's lovely to get
a weekly rota and to know who is coming. I have to admit, that I find the younger girls are slow, so do not cover ground that others do. All carers are happy, chatty and very pleasant. Thank you.

I am 87 years old and originally used the services to help with my wife, an Alzheimer's sufferer and was so impressed with the service. I continued to use it after her demise in 2020. My carer always gives me 110% and is well supported by the office/management team. Always arrived on time and prepared
to go the extra mile and has become a friend as much as a Home Instead employee. Would recommend the Retford unit to anyone seeking this type of care.

Home Instead have been providing care at lunchtime for my mother for the last two years. They have been so accommodating, ensuring that the carers worked with Mum to provide care according to her wishes. Communication with the team is easy and they are so helpful. It has been very reassuring knowing
that Mum has someone with her every day. The carers are so lovely and they do everything they can to make Mum happy.

In Home Instead we've found the best care agency out there. They’ve been caring for my Dad since 2019. He is the focus of all they do; they support his independence, keep in touch with us to ensure the detail is informed by the bigger picture, help him keep his home ticking over, keep him safe and enrich
his life in a way we cannot.
They’re experts in the effects of old age/memory loss and teach by example. Dad would be in a care home now if it weren’t for Home Instead and the incredible team supporting him. As it is, he’s in a house he’s known all his adult life with his own routines and memories. Dad now sees most of the caregivers as friends. I have the relief and joy that through Home Instead, we are giving him his best life.
It is a testament to them that I can give this review as Covid restrictions ease. They've coped with immense challenges yet supported him throughout.
From caregivers to managers to owners, they say ‘To us it’s Personal’ and that's exactly our experience.

My very elderly Mum, unfortunately, had a serious fall and ended up in Hospital with a fractured hip, both herself, family and medical personnel agreed she would have to have some form of help and it needed to be arranged very promptly.
After reading many reviews we contacted Home Instead who came
straight away and assessed Mum and organised the care package very quickly, agreeing times and duties all explained very easily in a friendly manner.
Mum was introduced to all the caregivers within days which was very helpful giving her time to start adjusting to the new circumstances. The caregivers were all very prompt, professional and friendly.
There were a few teething troubles but all swiftly dealt with. Unfortunately, as everything was going well Mum had another fall and another stay in Hospital, subsequently, Mum and the family all made the decision she would move into Residential Care. Both Mum and Family would like to thank everyone, management and caregivers alike, you were wonderful.

We have been lucky to be receiving care from Home Instead since November. The care provided for my mum has been outstanding. The caregivers have taken time to listen and get to know my mum and as a result, she refers to them as her friends, not carers. The physical and emotional support they provide
is invaluable and brings huge peace of mind to myself and my brother.

From the moment I contacted Home Instead Retford, I was incredibly impressed. A lot of time was taken to understand our needs and ensure caregivers were matched thoughtfully. It had been a difficult decision for my parents to seek help, but everything was dealt with so carefully and sensitively that
the transition worked brilliantly well. The exceptionally high levels of care have continued and the caregivers have been exactly what was needed, providing practical support, but also friendly and very cheerful companionship. My parents really look forward to their visits and there is lots of joy. Home Instead Retford have worked so very hard to support us during some challenging times this year with the absolute goal of my parents remaining settled and happy in their own home. I'm so very glad to have made the initial call and cannot praise the service we continue to receive highly enough. Professional, reliable and so very caring at all levels. We all feel really supported.

Home Instead (Retford and Gainsborough) offers a reliable and caring service. Mum has the same carer nearly all the time and they have been excellent throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Office staff and mangers are also excellent with good, robust channels of communication. I already recommend to friends.

During the 7-month contact with Home Instead to date, we have found them to be consistently helpful, caring, well organised and particularly supportive of my 'elderly' parents, in their 90's. For the 5-hours which they normally attend, plus two weekends when we were away in summer, between lockdowns,
the 6-weekly management review has been reassuring to all parties. My parents have appreciated and responded to the carers, 'warm and sensitive approach', especially during times of unprecedented anxiety and uncertainty for all.

The 3 ladies that look after my dad do a great job. The morning caller has found him a couple of times on the floor, rang me straight away after making him comfortable. She went above and beyond. She's also on the afternoon keeping him company and he really enjoys playing dominoes with her. The 2 other
ladies are very chatty which helps keep him interested in things. They also encourage him to finish his meals and drink plenty of fluid. We'd be lost without them all.

I feel all my mum's needs are tended to with compassion and care. Our expectations are met on a daily basis four times a day. My only 'negative' would be to say the 'younger' ladies aren't quite so proactive as some of the more 'mature' ladies but their care and level of respect is equal.

It was always my Parents’ wishes to remain at home for as long as possible and, despite significant health issues, this was made possible by Home Instead. All of the Home Instead carers who looked after Dad for over four years, and Mum also for the first two years, have been professional and always
kind and cheerful. We have valued the fact that when the care packages have needed to be changed, either in the short term or permanently, Home Instead has been impressively responsive and able to provide solutions. It’s testament to Home Instead that Dad wanted as many of his carers (and other Office based staff that he has interacted with) to join the family at his 85th birthday party, as he got to know them as friends not just carers.

Following a debilitating injury, I simply couldn't have managed living alone without the excellent support from the Home Instead team. Friendly, stable staffing, facilitated the companionship element of daily support. My family, four hours drive away, were reassured that I was safe and well-supported
every day. I have no hesitation in recommending this high-quality team who put personalised care first.

Hello, My name is Victoria, aka Tori.

Within my role at Home Instead, I wear many hats although my primary focus is on care coordination, This involves scheduling client visits with appropriate Care Professionals, and ensuring all client visits are allocated to care professionals who have similar personalities, likes and interests. I also ensure that clients and care professionals have the best possible experience when meeting for the first time by conducting Introductions between clients and care professionals.

I worked in the care industry many years ago however my predominant career was as a Groom/Au Pair. I have always been very caring, be it towards animals or people so when my mum was diagnosed with early onset Dementia at 52 years old it was the push I needed to get back into a caring employed role and be able to make a difference to people’s lives. I was unable to do this daily for my parents as they don’t live close enough. (I had been out of work for 5 years whilst raising my 3 young children).

From my first communication and then the interview I knew I couldn’t have picked a better company to work for, Home instead really is a family and we really are the best at what we do, I initially started as a care professional working mainly evenings and weekends, however, built my hours up as my middle child went to nursery full time, from there I became a senior care professional alongside my care professional clients, I was responsible for the quality assurance process, ensuring that Clients are receiving the best care possible whilst still maintaining the relationships with the clients I had been caring for the previous 2 years.

In August 2022 I became lucky enough to be offered the full-time role I am currently in. I love the fact that I can still continue to make a difference in clients' lives by working for a leading home care provider and ensuring clients receive exceptional care, the care I wish I could give daily to my mum.

Hiya, I’m Chloe and I am responsible for all recruitment and training of new care professionals.

I joined the Home Instead family in February 2022 after deliberating for quite some time, I began work as a care professional on evenings and weekends around my 9-5 job and found myself falling in love with the role.

Following this, I decided to move full-time to Home Instead in September 2022 under the recruitment and training wing whilst still keeping my foot in seeing clients and talking to them on a regular basis.

Although I might be young, I have done my fair share of jobs and have never found a job as fulfilling and rewarding as working for Home Instead. From personal experience of helping care for my outstanding Great Grandma, I understand the importance of high-quality, compassionate care and I am proud to play my part as much as possible in supporting new staff to build relationships and enhance the quality of their client’s lives.

When I’m not in interviews or training, I assist in day-to-day activities in the office and act as a source of entertainment for all!
