Regular and dependable in attendance. Do not do much for me physically. Occasional showers but put cream on legs and do eye drops. I try to do it myself. They do that a bit but always in a hurry. Notes do not always fit what has been done.

The carers are excellent in helping my mother to wash, dress and taking her medication. Nothing is too much trouble for them and if they notice anything wrong they contact me immediately. It is nice to know that the company do regular reviews to make sure that everything is OK with the care package
and that we are happy with the care given. I definitely would recommend this company to everyone. Thank you.

When I was persuaded by my family that I needed assistance for my wife (who has dementia) I had no idea what carers would do. What has been provided by the carers I have is beyond my expectations.
When my main carer from Home Instead arrived, she asked me what I wanted her to do and I said keep my
wife company and that is all I have ever asked, but by now, 2 years down the line, she has taken over looking after my wife and all household chores to the to the point where all I have to do is shopping and some food preparation, everything else like running a home is taken care of by the carers.
When she is away, she has arranged for other carers who are just as pleasant, caring and helpful to cover for her.
Since having carers, my life has become much easier to manage and I am pleased that my family persuade me into having carer assistance.

Professional and friendly service provided by Home Instead Senior Care (Retford and Gainsborough). Always arrive at arranged times with a smile on their faces, willing to display a degree of flexibility when a situation calls for it. Completely satisfied with service provided to date. A relatively new
user of service but with high expectations of continuous good service.

I have found Home Instead Senior Care (Retford) to be a very professional and caring organisation. Each week Home Instead carers visit my mother in her nursing home and support her to get ou7t into the community and undertake an activity of her choice, these include going to church, going out for something
to eat or enjoying a drive in the local area. My mother has dementia and I know she appreciates the opportunity to have some one-to-one time with someone she trusts and who she has built up a close relationship with. I really feel that Home Instead go the extra mile in their work, each week I am able to read a report on what my mother has done and any concerns the carer has raised with the nursing home. I know my mother is in very professional and caring hands.

All care provision has been excellent.
When we have wanted to make changes to increase the care package, it appears that every effort has been made.
Only been let down once in 6 months and that was through sudden illness. Phone call to inform.

Care giver arrives at 0800 hours and helps my wife to the shower room using a walking frame, helping her to shower and dry. Then she puts her dressing gown on and helps with walker back to the lounge. Care giver then cleans up shower room and makes the bed. I get clients meals: wash pots and cloths.

Home Instead have been providing help for my husband who has dementia and is confined to bed for some months now. Sometimes I may not ask for help until a few days before required, but always they provide the care needed. The management are pleasant and very efficient. The carers are warm, friendly.
amusing and very caring. I could not possibly manage without them and it enables me to keep my husband at home. I would not hesitate to recommend this agency to anyone. In fact, I should perhaps have ticked the box excellent for your last questions but did not want to look unimaginative/boring!

I initially contacted Home Instead last year to enquire about respite care for my mother whilst my husband and I were away on holiday. I could not have chosen a better care agency. The staff did everything possible to ensure that my mother was well looked after whilst we were away and any fears of leaving
my mother on her own were soon allayed. Towards the end of last year my mother underwent a hip revision operation and after 6 weeks in hospital was discharged. I had to contact Home Instead at short notice to enquire about providing daily rehabilitation care for my mother as our local authority were unable to provide a suitable rehabilitation care package, Once gain, the staff at Home Instead were unbelievably efficient in proving the care that we required. They have also been invaluable in accompanying my mother to hospital appointments when I have been unable to accompany her due to work commitments. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone requiring professional and supportive care. Not only does Home Instead look after the people they provide care to but they are also extremely empathetic to the worries and concerns of their relatives.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

Hello, My name is Victoria, aka Tori.

Within my role at Home Instead, I wear many hats although my primary focus is on care coordination, This involves scheduling client visits with appropriate Care Professionals, and ensuring all client visits are allocated to care professionals who have similar personalities, likes and interests. I also ensure that clients and care professionals have the best possible experience when meeting for the first time by conducting Introductions between clients and care professionals.

I worked in the care industry many years ago however my predominant career was as a Groom/Au Pair. I have always been very caring, be it towards animals or people so when my mum was diagnosed with early onset Dementia at 52 years old it was the push I needed to get back into a caring employed role and be able to make a difference to people’s lives. I was unable to do this daily for my parents as they don’t live close enough. (I had been out of work for 5 years whilst raising my 3 young children).

From my first communication and then the interview I knew I couldn’t have picked a better company to work for, Home instead really is a family and we really are the best at what we do, I initially started as a care professional working mainly evenings and weekends, however, built my hours up as my middle child went to nursery full time, from there I became a senior care professional alongside my care professional clients, I was responsible for the quality assurance process, ensuring that Clients are receiving the best care possible whilst still maintaining the relationships with the clients I had been caring for the previous 2 years.

In August 2022 I became lucky enough to be offered the full-time role I am currently in. I love the fact that I can still continue to make a difference in clients' lives by working for a leading home care provider and ensuring clients receive exceptional care, the care I wish I could give daily to my mum.

Hiya, I’m Chloe and I am responsible for all recruitment and training of new care professionals.

I joined the Home Instead family in February 2022 after deliberating for quite some time, I began work as a care professional on evenings and weekends around my 9-5 job and found myself falling in love with the role.

Following this, I decided to move full-time to Home Instead in September 2022 under the recruitment and training wing whilst still keeping my foot in seeing clients and talking to them on a regular basis.

Although I might be young, I have done my fair share of jobs and have never found a job as fulfilling and rewarding as working for Home Instead. From personal experience of helping care for my outstanding Great Grandma, I understand the importance of high-quality, compassionate care and I am proud to play my part as much as possible in supporting new staff to build relationships and enhance the quality of their client’s lives.

When I’m not in interviews or training, I assist in day-to-day activities in the office and act as a source of entertainment for all!
