Rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC (February 2018), Home Instead (Bristol North) provides home care services to people throughout North Bristol and the surrounding areas.

The well-trained team provides companionship-based care, while supporting and encouraging clients to remain living independently in their own homes. Their goal is to bring joy to each client, each day, as well as providing practical support and assistance.

Care Professionals are fully trained and experienced in providing dementia and complex care.

Care plans are tailored to meet the individual requirements of each client, ensuring that time is spent with each client, fulfilling their personal needs and sharing stories, playing games and enjoying regular outings. If desired, clients can receive help with cooking, bathing, dressing, grooming and assistance with eating.

Care Professionals are matched with clients with similar interests to ensure a meaningful relationship can be developed. Care Professionals visit regularly, with a minimum one-hour visit in order that relationships can form and clients look forward to the visits.

Since June 2024, Home Instead (Bristol North) is delighted to be able to also offer Live-in Care. Live-In Care Professionals are there for you up to 22 hours a day, 7 days a week, week after week, providing personalised support tailored to your needs. Whether it's assistance with daily activities, companionship, or simply being there for peace of mind, the dedicated team can help. Live-in care helps you stay in the comfort of your own home, not a care home, with continuity of care from a dedicated Care Professional who lives with you long-term.

Excellent service provided for my mum. Carers are matched perfectly to cater for my mum's needs and requirements. The office staff are always helpful. My mum always looks forward to the carer's visits and is very pleased with the service.

The carers Mum has are all great - she really enjoys seeing them - and they are also good at feeding back issues to me where needed. It is really helpful for me to know that someone is keeping an eye on her when I am at work.

During a taxing time of chemotherapy, I found management and staff helpful and reliable. I couldn’t have done without them.
Management were efficient and flexible, and the telephone was always answered. Staff were punctual and caring. Since a happy outcome, I have retained a carer for two one hour
sessions per week for help with shopping, ironing, housework and outings, and it has been fun!

We have been associated with Home Instead for some time. My mother feels they are part of her very happy family. She has retained her dignity and independence until recently. They even helped out in 24 hour care emergency. Now she has to be in a care home for 24 hour care, we still have a wonderful
caregiver going into to see her through the transition time - much needed and very much appreciated in these strange changing times. We are so privileged to have such a wonderful professional and caring team from the top through the ranks. Thank you all so much.

We have as a family been using Home Instead for about 4 years and they have been nothing but brilliant. They have been caring for both my parents in a variety of ways and have always been happy to adapt to the ever-changing needs they have asked for.
The team and care providers are all always cheerful,
happy to help and I have never ever had anything other than a wonderful experience from the whole team.
An amazing team and organisation who I would be always more than happy to recommend.
Thank you for allowing us as family members to relax knowing our parents are being cared for in an amazing and kind way.
Thank you so much.

Our carers are sensitive and helpful, with imaginative and good memories for the daily routines we have established.
They both feel part of the family and are willing to try new skills and comply with new ideas.
They are aware of our emotional feelings and listen well to frustration, happiness, anger
and those unshed tears!
They have never refused a task, even the emergency toileting ones.
They give us both great kindness, support and for myself, and strength to get through some difficult days and times.
I could not think of a life without these young women who give us warmth, security and friendship, who understand our two different characters and help us both daily.

Having been in touch with several people who have used Home Instead when care was needed, I had no hesitation when suddenly needing help myself, and had a carer each morning for two weeks, as much to put my family's minds at rest as for my needs which were not too onerous. I had no doubt that I would
be treated well and was not disappointed. I was not. The carers were all delightful and lovely to have in my home. I recommend Home Instead to many people in my life and shall go on doing so.

Home Instead provided excellent tailored care and support for my mum for over 5 years. They were professional, yet compassionate and friendly. Also responsive and flexible, bending over backwards to provide extra support in a crisis. I definitely recommend their services.

Home Instead provided our mum and family an exceptional caring professional and adaptable service. From the moment the caregivers stepped through my mum’s door, we felt safe in their hands. The service provided was very individual and on the initial meeting, the manager gained a very thorough idea of
what both my mum and the family required. The caregivers were extremely well matched to my mum and we felt they were a brilliant support. On one occasion, my mum had fallen when she was coming back from an outing and hurt her leg, but she phoned to say that all would be fine because her caregiver was due in 20 minutes. The caregiver assessed mum contacted the manager, phoned for an ambulance whilst keeping us completely informed of the situation and comforting and reassuring mum. This was a dedicated and reassuring service.
Home Instead allowed our mum to remain in her home. Nothing is too much trouble. The app is brilliant to see what happens daily. I highly recommend their service.

We have been extremely satisfied with the care our dad has received from your agency. The carers are, without exception, very sensitive to his needs. The care never seems rushed, and they always chat, which he loves. Thanks to you all!

Home Instead provided wonderful carers for mum who enabled mum to remain living independently in her home for far longer than she would otherwise have been able to. Her carers were always reliable, good-natured and conscientious. Mum, and us as a family, built up strong and positive relationships with
the two carers who became ‘regular’ visitors in her day. They were always reassuring and brought to our attention anything we needed to deal with. They showed initiative in improving Mum’s quality of life for example introducing mum to an iPad and google maps or inviting neighbours in for tea. Nothing was too much bother, cooking favourite foods/helping to solve crosswords/setting up a bird table/potting up hanging baskets/shopping and laundry etc. Home Instead always listened to our concerns and tried to respond to Mum’s needs as they developed. Mum lived ‘independently’ until the day after her 98th birthday. Thank you Home Instead - can't recommend you enough.

Home Instead came to the rescue when we were desperate and did everything in their power to help provide support and care to my father. All carers treated Dad with respect and dignity. Some went above and beyond in their approach to keeping Dad comfortable and interested in daily life, which became
more and tricky as he slipped away. We will always be grateful to everyone for all they did.

During four years my wife and I have had several Home Instead carers. Without exception, they have earned the title carer. I have always felt it was, to them, not just a 'job' but a concern. When allowed I have been taken to Doctor, hospital appts and shopping with full support. There never was a problem
they could not help or solve.

All the carers who come to me are friendly, helpful and reliable. The support and care they provide for me enable me to live comfortably in my own home. They have been particularly conscientious during the period of managing the covid virus. I would recommend Home Instead as a care provider.

When placing a beloved member of a family into a care of a complete stranger, for however long or short a time, the two most important words are trust and honesty and have found both in Home Instead senior care. From the first phone call, we received understanding and help and we were dealt with professionally
and personally. The caregiver has become part of the family but only as great or small, that the client and family wish, we look forward to your continued commitment and thank you all at Home Instead.

We have been really impressed by the team at Home Instead. Both the management and the various carers provided excellent care to my mother. Especially recently, when we needed urgent help over the weekend, and they were quick and happy to respond.

My sister has received excellent care and kindness from her personal carers and also those arranging her home care. I, also, have had good back up when needed to keep her safe and well.

The care, kindness and effort of 'the team' in supporting my parents is exemplary. All staff are helpful, understanding and patient. I have been particularly impressed, during the months of the coronavirus, with the cleanliness and hygiene brought into the home, by carers, in dealing with whatever may
need to be done. Everyone is friendly and cheerful and always wears a smile! A huge 'thank you' to everyone.

We were recommended Home Instead a couple of years ago. Mum began to have difficulty with her mobility and with personal care. As is often the case when we advance beyond our 90th year, Mum's needs have varied over the intervening time and I can confirm that the Home Instead team have been fantastically
understanding and responsive. For example, when Mum had a fall the team were able to increase the frequency of visits and care within 24 hours with no complaint nor fuss. Mum has enjoyed both companionship and personal care from the team at Home Instead. Carers frequently go above and beyond what might be expected of them - staff going so far as to purchase and fit decorations for mum's walker to encourage her to use it a little more. It has clearly been a difficult (Covid) year for us all - I think it would have been more tricky without support from the team at Home Instead.
