My dad has recently started using Home Instead and he and the family are so pleased with the service and the care providers. From making initial enquiries to care providers being put in place, every step of the process was delivered in such a friendly yet professional way. The co-ordinator put a great
deal of time and effort into getting to know my dad, his interests and his background to provide well-matched car providers.
From an admin perspective, the onboarding and billing process was clearly communicated.
My dad is already getting so much out of his twice weekly visits and it gives me and my brother so much peace of mind. You can't put a price on that!

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

What a wonderful review. We have visited this week to check that all is well. Two weeks have flown by. We are delighted to report that dad is very happy with our service and he loves his Care Professionals. Early days, I know, but from experience our Clients enjoy visits more and more. Support, care and companionship with familiar faces at regular times is one of the best medicines to keep spirits up. A trip out, when the sun is shining, with a professional friend is a wonderful tonic. Many thanks once again.

I was having major surgery and needed someone reliable to care of my mum and dad whilst I was in hospital and for the recovery period. I am my parents main carer and as such I needed to be sure that they were in good hands. I had seen home instead advertised on TV. I called in to see them and I was
not disappointed with the process from the start. Care has been phenomenal and the carers are really nice. The piece of mind knowing my parents are safe, happy and well taken care of has aided my recovery. Thank you to all involved. As this was short term care only I would have no hesitation of using them again should the need arise. I would also recommend them to my friends too.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for such a wonderful review. We always try and exceed expectations in every way and we are delighted that the support we offered your parents aided your recovery too. Everyone from Home Instead thoroughly enjoyed visiting your parents and of course you too! Now that you have had a taste of what we offer - we can carry on where we left off, should you require our support once again. Delighted that you are making such a good recovery and make sure to take it easy! Thank you once again.

We have been using Home Instead for over a year now. The ladies who visit Mum show exceptional kindness, patience, and professionalism. They not only provided excellent care but also formed a genuine bond with Mum, making her feel valued, comfortable, and safe.
Knowing Mum was in such capable and
caring hands gave us peace of mind whilst we were away. I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for your very positive review. We are always happy to supply holiday cover and respite so that families can go away with peace of mind. Once families have tried holiday cover with Home Instead, time away becomes something to look forward to. Often feelings of guilt and/or worry spoil the holiday experience. All our ladies and gentlemen are wonderful people who genuinely want to give outstanding care and support. We aim to make all our clients feel valued, comfortable and safe. It is always good to have this confirmed in a review. Thank you.

Our journey started with Home Instead because of the poor service my parents had experienced from other providers.
From the first contact, I had the impression of professional, efficient staff with a warm, caring attitude.
They very quickly picked up on my parents' needs and how to support our family
in enabling Mum and Dad to stay in their own home.
We had provided care as a family for nearly 10 years but Mum and Dad's needs were now at a level where we needed that extra support.
All the staff from office to care providers simply go above and beyond every day. It's very clear this is not just a job for them, they truly care about the people they are involved with.
The staff quickly blended into the family unit and we became a very strong team. There was support from them for all of us, not just Mum and Dad.
I honestly cannot praise everyone enough for the many things they do.
They are very special people making difficult situations workable. We were so lucky to find them.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

What a wonderful review - thank you. Our care professionals have thoroughly enjoyed supporting your parents, and in turn you and your family. Caring for you all has been an absolute pleasure. Our recruitment and training program is thorough and robust. A small percentage of care professional applicants succeed in commencing work with us. This is because we are extremely fussy! All our carers are different, different personalities, different experiences, different backgrounds. The one thing they all have in common is their determination to make every day the very best day for all our clients and to exceed expectations. We are proud of our team and we are proud of the difference we make to our amazing clients and their families. Thank you once again for your lovely review. We will make sure that everyone at Home Instead Salford sees it!

The service is used to prevent me from falling while in the shower and being dressed. I'm limited in my movements due to arthritis. I had had a recent fall culminating in me having 4 broken ribs and a head wound. This necessitated a stay in the hospital. These issues have now been addressed.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

We are extremely sorry that this accident happened and we hope that you make a swift recovery. We understand that your confidence has been knocked because of this upsetting experience. Our care professional who was with you at the time is deeply upset, as you would expect. We have put all actions in place as you have requested and we hope that together we can build your trust once more. Thank you for staying with us.

I love that Mum has the same carers and that she is able to build up a relationship with them. The relationship Mum has with them has helped her feel comfortable about asking for help or agreeing to help which without this friendship, she would not accept.
Both myself and brother are able to have
a proper visit with Mum which wouldn't be possible without Home Instead doing the day-to-day stuff which would have fallen to us. Since Home Instead started, Mum's health and mental health have improved due to the extra interaction.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you so much for this fabulous review. We try exceptionally hard to make our clients feel comfortable with their Care Professionals and we put lots of effort into matching personalities. If we are successful with this matching our clients are happy, our Care Professionals are happy and in turn family and friends are happy and relieved. This review confirms that our methods are successful - thank you once again.

Home Instead have been caring for my parents for over four years. I cannot praise all the team highly enough. They go above and beyond anything that is expected. I would love to name individuals, but that would include every single member of staff in the office, as well as the wonderful ladies who do
the day-to-day care. When we have needed emergency visits, they have never let us down. They treat my parents with respect, maintaining their dignity with loving care. I can not adequately describe our gratitude for the care Home Instead provides.
Thank you.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review. We can say that it has been a pleasure over the years to support your parents. All our care professionals enjoy their company. Thank you for mentioning the office team too. The care and support we supply is a total team effort. Every member of our team enjoys their jobs - as was borne out in our recent independent survey - PEAQ - pursuing excellence - advancing quality. This report is available to all to see and it gives us great pleasure to know that both Clients and Care Professionals are happy. We had a client advocacy rate of 95%. Thank you once again for taking the time to write this review. Very, very much appreciated.

Home Instead has been fabulous in setting up a care package for my mum. We thought the process was going to be quite daunting but a particular member of staff and the team made it really easy. The carers who look after my mum are brilliant and my mum is really happy with them from day one. It has really
helped my mum and taken a lot of pressure off the family.

Thank you so much for this lovely review. Thank you for calling in our office recently to give an update on your mum. Often, our loved ones do not want or think they need support at home. This is very common and I am sure when my time comes, I will be the same. Your mum was no exception. A rocky start but very quickly developed into a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Once a client is settled with their dedicated Care Professionals the relief for all is tangible. Thank you once again for sparing the time to write a review.

We can’t thank Home Instead (Salford) enough for taking care of our 96-year-old grandmother during the difficult lockdown period and subsequently two years following.
Her direct care giver was exceptional and a real lifesaver. Their friendship and companionship is held in very high regard from both
my grandmother and the whole family.

Continues to meet all our expectations of care support and value for money. Carers are extremely skilled and their attention to detail is second to none. The selection process of carers and their ongoing training and development equips them to deal with all my husband's needs and the willingness to
interact with the NHS occupational therapists and physiotherapists had forged an equal relationship based on expertise and professionalism. The recent increase in hourly rates, the third over two years, has made us consider other options.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for your considered review. All the Care Professionals who support and care for your husband thoroughly enjoy their visits and also enjoy chatting to you and other family members. I am delighted that we are able to work as a team - Client, Care Professionals and other experts in their fields. This is imperative to achieve the best care and best positive results possible. I am sorry that the cost is high and that we have increased our rates three times over two years. This is not something we do lightly. Pre-Covid finding the exceptional Care Professionals we demand was hard - post-Covid extremely difficult. We have now employed a full-time recruiter to address this and we are always thinking 'out of the box' on how to attract more Care Professionals who deliver care because they want to - care is part of their DNA. We thoroughly enjoy supporting you and thank you for putting your tust in us.

The care professionals and management team have and continued to support my parents and brother in a truly empathetic, caring and professional way. As I live a long way from the family home it is reassuring to know that my family is being looked after so well. The team provides personal and companionship
care with timely communications.
Recently my mother became very frail but was determined to stay in her own home and Home Instead enabled that to happen. An amazing carer was with her when she ‘went to sleep’ and held her hand. I will be forever grateful to her and Home Instead for helping our family in a true hour of need.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for such a wonderful review. We enjoy supporting your family members, and our Care Professionals talk fondly about their visits. Solid relationships have been made over time and our Care Professional considered it a privilege to be with your Mum when she 'went to sleep'. It is an honour to be able to support people in their own home and share good times and sometimes upsetting times. Your father now has the full attention of our Care Professionals which we are sure he will be enjoying. Thanks again for such a lovely review. The service provided by Home Instead has been excellent throughout. The care and professionalism shown by the carers through to the office staff have been exemplary. Any difficult issues are communicated and dealt with sensitively and with compassion. As I don't live close by, knowing my father is well
cared for by genuinely kind and understanding carers is so comforting. I can't praise the team enough.

The caregivers at Home Instead have been looking after our sister for the last seven months. We got in touch with them when it was clear that she required help with daily living. Her dementia had increased to a point where she was no longer able to perform many of the tasks needed to remain on her own,
including meal preparation and taking medication, but she wasn’t yet ready to move into a care situation.
Since the visits started, carers have turned up, as agreed, twice a day, faithfully, and on time. All of them have been cheerful and encouraging of her, providing much-needed company as well as preparing meals, tidying up and cleaning the kitchen.
As her dementia has worsened, the care team performed the vital function of reassuring her, chatting with her, and providing social engagement, something that has really brightened her days.
We are most grateful to the caregivers; they have meant much to all of us, and we have appreciated their professionalism.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for submitting such a wonderful review. We try very hard to match our Clients' personalities with our Care Professionals. In this case, we were lucky that we had a retired nurse supporting your sister and they had nursing and Salford Royal in common. Music is also a great bonding tool and I think Neil Diamond and singing in general was another common denominator. Supporting with personal care, meal preparation and medication is all part of our support but common interests and hobbies go a long way to make our clients feel comfortable and happy in their own homes.

Job Title: Director - Co Founder

My name is Susan Robinson and I am the owner of Home Instead Salford and Worsley. I have lived and worked in Salford all my life and I am immensely proud to be part of this vibrant and ever-changing city.

Although I have owned and managed two exciting businesses in the past, more recently I have volunteered and worked in several primary schools in Salford. A large proportion of my time involved developing relationships between school, families and the wider community. My passion for community development grew very quickly and I had no intention of changing my career path.

However, I needed some support from my mum when we were going on holiday in August 2015. It was at this time that I was introduced to Home Instead Senior Care. I was amazed at the culture and ethos of the company. Love, care and compassion are at the heart of the Home Instead philosophy. When I realised that there was an opportunity in Salford to support individuals in their own homes, where they are most happy and comfortable, I grabbed it with both hands.
