Had a meeting this morning with two of the staff at Home Instead (Salford). Care and communication excellent as always and our meeting was dealt with professionally. We continue to be delighted with Dads care.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for such an excellent review. We strive to deliver excellent care to all our clients and we support our Care Professionals and family members too. Communication is key in all that we do. Our Care Professionals report back that their work with Home Instead does not feel like a 'job' - it is a pleasure and some say that they feel guilty being paid for doing something that they love so much. Thank you again for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. We are thankful that you are delighted with dads care.

I am quite happy with my caregiver. The company are very courteous with any questions that need answering. There is always a good vibe on the phone at any time of the day. The caregiver tends to my needs without question and is very friendly with my family members.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a fantastic review. We only have the very best 'Care Professionals' - we love receiving such positive comments. It is always reassuring to know that we continue to 'match' our CAREGivers to Clients correctly so that both parties enjoy each other's company. During our interview process, we carry out the 'Mum and Dad' test. Would we like the potential CAREGiver to support our loved one? Once this hurdle is passed there follows a 3 day induction program, Enhanced DBS, two professional references and two personal references. We really do strive to deliver the best quality care. Your mum's Care Professional loves her visits too. Happy days.

I look forward to my hour visit every day. It is like a friend calling to have a chat. I never know which carers will arrive, but they are always most welcome. Each carer is wisely chosen and trained to carry out their visits with ease whilst making sure they tick everything on my list. I am allowed
this independence because I say they have a spy in the camp who would inform them if they had a concern when I perhaps wouldn't Our thanks.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is hard to believe that you have been with us for over twelve months already We will make a mutually convenient time to come and visit - to introduce you to the portal and then you will be able to see in advance which caregiver will be coming. You have a lovely team of six ladies, and they all say how much they enjoy your company. We are so lucky to have so many amazing clients and care professionals! Thank you once again.

All of the ladies that care for my mum are lovely. They look after Mum as if she was their mum. They are examples to home carers with their professional caring natures, ensuring all Mum’s needs are cared for.

After deliberating for many months about my dads care, as he was gradually becoming less able to care for himself on a daily basis, I decided to contact Home Instead and had a wonderful initial chat with them and was very encouraged by their professionalism. Consequently, we have now had Dad cared for,
for four weeks and I am very happy with their genuine level of care. Consequently, I now have peace of mind that Dad is eating regularly and also taking his medication. Just like to thank all the staff at Home Instead for their continued support.

My 94-year-old housebound grandma has been with Home Instead (Salford) for a few years now. They are, by far, the best home care company that we have ever had. The owners are so friendly, caring and compassionate. This shows in how they recruit staff. I live far from my grandma, and the lockdown has
been difficult, but Home Instead staff have been super helpful and caring. From getting the shopping into Christmas Day Dinner on a plate as we could not be there; nothing is too much trouble. Their service goes beyond meeting basic needs, which have, undoubtedly, assisted my grandma's well-being enormously. I would wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead Salford to anyone looking to find care to support their elderly relative to live independently. Thank you to all the team at Home Instead (Salford).

Reply from Jo Shaughnessy, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Many thanks for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We have enjoyed supporting your grandma over the past few years! We love her sense of humour and her stories. The small team of CAREGivers who support her really enjoy their visits and certainly look forward to them. Cooking Christmas dinner for her was a pleasure! Thank you once again.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. It is early days and these early days are crucial for client, family and CAREGivers to get to know each other and learn routines. This is a crucial time to 'tweek' the care plan, improve, add more detail. We pride ourselves on being very responsive to our Client's needs. Thank you once again.

The Directors found the perfect match in my son's caregiver. She has a professional approach, is eager to learn about him and now tends to his every need. My son loves the time he shares with her and she finds interesting things to do with him. If I have contacted the office all the staff are helpful
and polite and there is a friendly atmosphere.

The carers have consistently shown my Mother careful attention. They have given her companionship and have been willing to help her in many ways. Office staff have always been available for a chat and have readily altered the contact time with my Mother as her needs have grown. Staff have quickly notified
us when they have felt that we needed to be consulted about my Mothers care. The carers now make sure that she has taken her medication and they usually prepare meals for her. The carers are always responsible and always check that my Mother is safe, i.e. that the doors are locked and that she has her pendant on her when they leave her.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for writing such a fantastic review. Our CAREGivers enjoy supporting your Mother and have shared some lovely stories with the office team. Our CAREGiver was very touched when your Mother gave her a ballet book to share with her granddaughter who enjoys ballet, baking cakes with another CAREGiver and enjoying a picnic in the garden during the Summer last year. Thank you so much once again for your time and putting your trust in our team.

I find all the staff caring, able and willing to undertake any task I set for them. They are, without exception, pleasant and supportive, trustworthy and prompt to arrive when I am warned of some unavoidable delay. They are good-humoured and patient, contributing to the good quality of my otherwise
rather quiet life. My daughter is in Canada, gains reassurance that I have good support.

Hi - thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We always like the words 'without exception' as we take a great deal of time finding our CAREGivers - they really have to be 'special' to join our team and they have to believe in top quality care. We hear of the stories of the birds in your garden and the amount of bird seed required to keep them happy! Thank you once again and look forward to seeing you soon!

The involvement of Home Instead started with a once weekly shopping visit, over the years this was increased to a daily contact and then a high level of care prior to the client going into residential care.
From the beginning, the standard of care and organisation has been exemplary. All the caregivers
have been kind, caring and very professional. The management/admin of Home Instead are always very efficient, approachable and helpful. A five-star service!

Reply from Jo Shaughnessy, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you so much for your kind words your mother-in-law was a much-loved member of our Home Instead family, and we're so glad to know that she's settling in fine. I'll make sure to pass your message on to the team who often want to know how she's doing and often remark how much they miss seeing her. You are so right - we have a wonderful team who are just amazing in so many ways.
Thank you to you and the family for putting your trust in us to take care of someone so precious - it was a privilege and an honour to do so.
Best wishes, Jo Shaughnessy & The Home Instead Team

Susan Robinson

Job Title: Director - Co Founder

My name is Susan Robinson and I am the owner of Home Instead Salford and Worsley. I have lived and worked in Salford all my life and I am immensely proud to be part of this vibrant and ever-changing city.

Although I have owned and managed two exciting businesses in the past, more recently I have volunteered and worked in several primary schools in Salford. A large proportion of my time involved developing relationships between school, families and the wider community. My passion for community development grew very quickly and I had no intention of changing my career path.

However, I needed some support from my mum when we were going on holiday in August 2015. It was at this time that I was introduced to Home Instead Senior Care. I was amazed at the culture and ethos of the company. Love, care and compassion are at the heart of the Home Instead philosophy. When I realised that there was an opportunity in Salford to support individuals in their own homes, where they are most happy and comfortable, I grabbed it with both hands.
