The care your carers provide went above and beyond it just being a "job". They not only gave care to my Mother but gave peace of mind to me and my wife, knowing that Mum was being lovingly cared for. I would like to give our thanks and love to two caregivers especially who went above and beyond "care".
The care coordinator always treated any concern we had with good grace and professionalism and is a credit to her profession. Thanks again to anyone at Home Instead who had dealings with our family.

Wow - thank you. We will pass on your amazing comments to the people concerned. The feeling has been completely mutual - your mother was a joy to support and she is missed by her small team. We hope that she has settled into her new routine. We really thank all your family for showing our Caregivers the respect they deserve. Delivering care is a true calling and we have professional Caregivers who go 'above and beyond' every single day. We are determined to show that 'care'' is a true profession requiring so many different skills. Thank you again - we miss you all.

We were absolutely delighted with the care my Mother-in-law received from Home Instead. All the carers were delightful and we felt reassured that she was getting the best care available to help her stay in her own home. We always felt able to adjust her level of care as her needs increased and the office
staff went out of their way to accommodate her needs.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you for such an outstanding review. Your Mother-in-law was an absolute pleasure to support and was loved by her small team of Caregivers. Pampering sessions were always enjoyed by all - hair especially. We hope she is happy in her new abode - thank you for putting your trust in us, it was a joy to support you all.

When I found Home Instead - from the first phone call - I knew that I had found a company to trust. The worry of Mum living so far away from me was really difficult. Now I have peace of mind as my mum's small team of regular caregivers are amazing. The team in the office are always available to speak
to if I am worried or concerned. Mum is much happier and really looks forward to visits! Thank you to all at Home Instead.

Thank you so much for writing such an excellent review. All our Caregivers are exceptional and really enjoy spending time with their Clients - your Mum is no exception. Once all the necessary 'tasks' are completed your Mum and her Caregivers enjoy tea/coffee and cake and really enjoy exchanging news and stories. A regular trip to the garden centre is very much enjoyed too together with outings to Marks and Spencer for a shop and coffee. Many thanks once again for putting your trust in us.

Very happy the way Home Instead set up the care for my mother. From the very first call, I know I was in good hands. The care manager was very helpful and thought of every little detail. I have experienced poor care and did not want to make the same mistake. I can now say after 8-months, it was the
best decision I could have made. Home Instead is amazing, Mum is happy in her own home, and I have peace of mind knowing I can trust the caregivers, which is priceless.

As a family we can't thank Home Instead and the CareGivers enough, treating mum with such dignity and respect as they would their own family. Right from the start, they worked with us to create an individual care package suitable for mum's complex needs and have continued to do so when things have changed
or we have raised anything with them. As mum can't communicate it was really important for us to have the same carers daily so they got to know her to enable them to provide the best possible care and to know when mum wasn’t feeling “quite right”. They also allocate the same time every day so we aren't worrying that they are going to be late or not turn up. The CareGivers are just amazing and it’s obvious they really do care which is a real comfort to us. We can also see this has been a huge benefit to mum who is much brighter and more alert and as a family, this has given us peace of mind.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Thank you so much for sending such a fantastic review. We are delighted that you and your family are happy with our outstanding caregivers and that it is having such a positive impact on your mum. To say that we are giving you and your family peace of mind is a massive compliment. We always say that it is not just the Client that we support - very often it is the family just as much and sometimes more. The time you have taken to complete this review is very much appreciated - thank you.

My uncle’s wish, as he grows older and his needs increase, is to remain in his own home. Home Instead Senior Care Have been making this possible for the last couple of years now. After having spent a period of time in hospital/rehabilitation at the start of this year he was never so glad as to get home
again to the surroundings and carers that he knew and felt comfortable with.
For me, as the person who is trusted with helping him make decisions about his care, the whole process was made so simple as Home Instead had kept in touch and I had been able to keep his regular visit times reserved so it was a very smooth process to re-instate his care package as soon as we were ready.
I cannot visit him daily due to distance but, thanks to Home Instead, I have the ability to access his daily activity log which his carers document after every visit.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Home Instead for anyone who wishes to remain independent. They can support in so many ways. Fantastic!

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Hello Helen, thank you so much for taking the time to review our services. Your Uncle is a joy to support - he keeps everyone on their toes and smiling. We appreciate how difficult it is for family members to support their loved ones especially when there is a distance involved. We like to think of ourselves as 'unofficial' family members and the 'eyes and ears' for family members - especially families at a distance. We are so incredibly lucky with our team of CAREGivers and office team. Outstanding through and through - even during the recent pandemic our team have continued to work diligently and with broad smiles. Thank you for putting your trust in us Helen.

The Home Instead Salford staff have visited Mum every day since we engaged their services in January of this year. The staff are kind, professional, attentive to Mum’s needs and importantly, throughout the pandemic, have adhered to safety protocols. I know Mum enjoys her daily visit and it is reassuring
for me to know that she is being taken care of when I am unable to be with her. The management are always available and responsive to my queries or requests. I could not be more satisfied with the service.

Reply from Susan Robinson, Director at Home Instead (Salford)

Hello Karen - thank you so much for your outstanding review! We are very lucky to have such an amazing team of people - both working in the community and within the office. We are very proud of our team who have continued to work throughout the pandemic with enthusiasm and gusto! Obtaining the correct PPE has been a challenge but we have succeeded - so far - so good. Your Mum has missed her regular visit from her mobile hairdresser during the past few months due to COVID and so one of our lovely CAREGivers came to the rescue! A hair wash and roller session was the order of the day. A little pampering works magic - and the smiles on the photos prove it too! Thank you for putting your trust in us - your Mum is a pleasure to support and have fun with.

When we first approached Home Instead they outlined how they operate and how they would put together a tailor-made care package for Dad. Every step of the way they did what they said they would do in a professional friendly way. They got to my Dad and with that knowledge they put together a team of
caregivers who proved to be amazing in every aspect. Home Instead plans their Caregivers' schedules so they are always on time and do exactly what has been agreed.
When Dad had a fall in the night the next morning the Caregiver stayed with him, made the necessary phone calls including arranging cover for her next client while she looked after him until the ambulance arrived.
We have complete confidence in the care they deliver - 'they do what it says on the can!' If you are going to have care in the home you have to have Home Instead.

After a recent, much-needed review, care standards have improved, if we can add please that carers need to be aware of service users' needs before their visit.

My mum is 90 this year and is a staunchly independent woman. She is intelligent and discerning and struggles to ask for help. Home Instead has provided that help, so that mum doesn’t overburden her friends.
I live in Canada and when mum had a recent hospital admission for a pacemaker they made sure
that mums care was increased to help her in the recovery phase after her hospital admission, they also visited her in hospital and communicated with me as to how she was progressing. It was so comforting to me to know that mum’s needs were being met in a proactive and dynamic way. Service was increased and then as she recovered her service was reduced.
The carers are carefully matched so that there is a good ‘fit ‘ they are well trained, conscientious and enjoy their work bringing positive energy and vitality, which is so lovely. I would be happy to recommend Home Instead.

Sometimes my caregivers give above and beyond what they need to do. They can make me feel so much better with the simplest of actions e.g. Washing my hands and face and combing my hair.

Mum has Alzheimer's and had refused any help from Social Services, insisting that her two daughters will tend to all her needs. We did but found we struggled to have any holiday and spend any time with our families. Then we came across Home Instead Senior Care. We were worried that Mum might still resist
any help but with some perseverance and the skill of the two lovely carers she now enjoys their visits. They will ensure she eats, occasionally take her out and help with housework. They have been a great help to me and my sister as have the staff back at the office. Nothing is too much trouble.

Reply from Susan Robinson at Home Instead (Salford)

Thanks so much for your feedback, it's really appreciated. We understand that families are often apprehensive when accessing additional care outside of the immediate family. However, with time and patience (and the right team!) this CAN be achieved, and the benefits to all become very quickly apparent. Our CAREGivers really love their time with Mum and we're delighted to hear that the feeling is mutual! Thanks for putting your trust in us.

The consistency of care was very important to mum and Home Instead Senior Care (Salford) provided this. Mum has come to describe her caregivers as friends. This tells me that mum is happy with her visits and is confident in their abilities. Communication is also a vital part of care and if there were
ever any problems with mum I was always notified. An excellent company - definitely recommend to friends.

Thank you for this lovely review. Your Mum was a lovely lady and was a pleasure to support and be with. We are delighted that she considered her CAREGivers as 'friends' and this is what we strive for 'professional friendships' where there is joy and mutual respect between Client and CAREGivers always. We miss your Mum and wish you and your family all the best for the future.

My friend who was fiercely independent took a long time to agree to using Home Instead Senior Care (Salford). She wanted to stay in her own house as long as she could but eventually realised Home Instead Senior Care (Salford) would make that possible and take a lot of the burden off her family. I know
she was delighted with the care she had from your ladies who were only with her for a very short time but treated her so well. It was sad she didn't take advantage earlier.

Reply from Susan Robinson at Home Instead (Salford)

Yes, it did take a while to gain her trust but eventually, she did allow us to visit her and immediately she was hooked. Very quickly if the 'match' between Client and caregiver is right all fear and trepidation disappears very quickly. It is hard to let strangers in our own homes but here at Home Instead, our recruitment process is thorough together with our training. However, what we look for initially is passion - people who want to deliver top-quality care with compassion and empathy. When our caregivers arrive for their interview they have to pass the 'Mum or Dad' test. Would we like him or her to support our own parents? If the answer is 'no' they will not pass the recruitment process. Thank you for taking the time to complete this review and our caregivers enjoyed supporting your friend - even though it was for a short time.

Home Instead Senior Care (Salford) feels like an extended family. Communication is superb, it is very refreshing having the phone answered on the first or second ring and your query is dealt with asap. I can't comment on the particular experience as the caregivers are always consistent with the level
of care they provide. They are kind, caring, efficient and punctual and praise must also go to the management of the team. You can easily expand/alter the level of care quickly as needs change. Just a simple phone call means it's done. Home Instead Senior Care (Salford) makes me feel I am not alone in battling dementia care.

My aunt was initially reluctant to accept help at home. The Home Instead Senior Care (Salford) team visited on three occasions to answer her questions and without any pressure to give reassurance. My aunt decided on a trial period and was delighted with the care and support she received. I was so relieved
to know that she was being looked after by well-trained friendly staff who really cared about her well being. Sadly due to my aunt's death, we only had a short period with Home Instead Senior Care (Salford). Thank you for the help and support you gave to all of us.

Thank you for this lovely review. Many people are reluctant to accept help from Home Instead Senior Care, Salford initially. It is a big decision for everyone and very unnerving. However, after one or two visits this usually rectifies itself and as you say your aunt very quickly looked forward to her visits from her new 'professional friends'. We thoroughly enjoyed supporting you and your aunt and thank you for putting your trust in us.

My name is Susan Robinson and I am the owner of Home Instead Salford and Worsley. I have lived and worked in Salford all my life and I am immensely proud to be part of this vibrant and ever-changing city.

Although I have owned and managed two exciting businesses in the past, more recently I have volunteered and worked in several primary schools in Salford. A large proportion of my time involved developing relationships between school, families and the wider community. My passion for community development grew very quickly and I had no intention of changing my career path.

However, I needed some support from my mum when we were going on holiday in August 2015. It was at this time that I was introduced to Home Instead Senior Care. I was amazed at the culture and ethos of the company. Love, care and compassion are at the heart of the Home Instead philosophy. When I realised that there was an opportunity in Salford to support individuals in their own homes, where they are most happy and comfortable, I grabbed it with both hands.
