I live alone in a bungalow and am over the age of ninety years. I knew about a year ago that I needed help with companionship, ironing, my small garden, housework and other jobs which crop up and are too heavy or cumbersome for me now to do. I also needed someone to drive me out to the parks for walks
and the medical centre etc. I wanted to stay in my home and keep as much of my independence as possible under the circumstances and not rely too much on relatives.
I contacted the above firm and was interviewed by the chief administrator who quickly and sensitively responded to my individual needs and interests. I was made to feel that my life and happiness were of paramount importance and always came first. I have two carers and both have wonderful qualities of reliability, dedication and companionship and are sensitive to my needs. My relatives also are pleased for me.
They have surpassed my expectations and I am exceedingly grateful for their support and good humour.

The be honest Mu could not remain in her own home without the care she receives from the wonderful carers who come to look after her. We and her family could not manage Mum's care on our own.
They are so reliable, caring and keep us informed well about Mum's condition.
I would highly recommend Home

The kind consideration, care and support provided by the whole team enabled my mum to remain in her own home despite her ill health and dementia. The caregivers are fantastic, communicating clearly, dedicated, patient and professional with a good understanding of Mum's needs. The office team provide
a first-class service in respect of all administrative and customer service areas. The app provides a current detailed account of each visit, which is reassuring and useful.

Fabulous communication and able to adapt to changes in care. However I have found more recently that I’m not getting callbacks confirming requests made but this may be due to not always speaking to the same person. I cannot fault the carers as they are friendly, professional and supportive across the
family.

We engaged the services of Home Instead from August 2020, to provide care support for my mother, twice a day for one hour each session, 7 days a week. The Caregivers have all been excellent & the ability to read their daily reports via the app was most useful & informative. Whenever more help
& assistance was required eg Mum having a fall & having to wait for the paramedics, nothing was too much trouble for the Caregivers & their communication with myself was again excellent. I would definitely recommend the services of Home Instead.

We enlisted Home Instead on recommendation and on review of their modus operandi. We needed support in the home for an ageing widowed mother who still enjoyed a full social life and an independent and domestic life and wanted to stay where she had lived all her life but whose diminishing executive skills
were affecting the outcome of these endeavours. The team approach meant she always had cover for anything she needed to do, and my mother could rely on a consistent, predictable and reliable relationship, which became more and more important to her as time went on. Home Instead has responded to and met every demand asked of them with efficiency and courtesy. The admin runs like a well-oiled machine, and it has been satisfying working with them, especially as we live remotely. But above and beyond even the excellent office support, something which has blown my mind is the caring competence of Mum's support team. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

Our mother has dementia and received care for three and a half years. During the week she had one visit a day, rising to three a day as her dementia got worse. Family visited every weekend. The main carer visited throughout and gave excellent care. She provided great support for us, especially when
concerns or emergencies arose. Home Instead staff and management are excellent. They are available and quick to respond to any issue. During Covid, managers made sure our mother always received scheduled care visits. Good administration means care plans and arrangements are clear and reliable. The useful app enables family members who live at a distance to read brief reports from each visit. Our mother is moving to a care home for 24-hour care. We greatly appreciate and highly recommend Home Instead.

A big thank you to Home Instead (West Leicestershire & Market Bosworth) for taking such good care of my mum during our recent two-week holiday. As she lives with us and I am her usual carer, holiday planning had been proving tricky, but having Home Instead carers popping in twice a day really did help
us to enjoy our trip knowing she and our cats were being looked after. (Special thanks to the carers for keeping such a close eye on the cats for us as well as my mum!) My mum enjoyed the companionship provided by the carers too and felt reassured knowing she was being taken care of. We would definitely use Home Instead for holiday cover again.

Much improved service since the introduction (or engagement) of the Field Care Supervisor, albeit after a period of using the Home Care service and at the time of a formal review. We now have access to the online care programme portal, where we can check Mum's progress. Previously we had noticed that
one of the carers was quite young with long fake fashion nails that we did not think were suited to cooking Mum’s evening supper, the field care supervisor intervened and we believe we now have a good team of carers for Mum.

The service provided has been regular and consistent, using the same small team of carers to prepare meals and give companionship to a 93-year-old man with dementia. Despite initial and occasional ongoing difficulties with access, they have provided the care required in a cheerful and sensitive manner.
We live several hundred miles away, so do not actually meet the care staff, but the app is very good for letting us see how things are going.

The small team of care staff have maintained an excellent working relationship with my uncle, who is 93 and has dementia. He does not remember anyone from one day to the next, but the staff continue to carry out their work in a positive and sensitive manner. Their recording of visits in the app lets
me know how visits have gone and what has been done as we live too far away to meet the care staff in person.

Home Instead have been part of mum's life for some time now helping my brother and I with the increasing care required to keep our mum in her home with as much safety independence and dignity as her disability allows.
They are an exceptional team of people from carers to admin who always go the extra
mile under circumstances which are not always straightforward, to help not only mum but support my brother and I where possible.
Mum loves "her girls" she is happy and well cared for and that means everything to me and my family.
Big thank you Home Instead. We couldn't manage without you and I have no hesitation in recommending you all to anyone who needs care at home.

I suffered a stroke 2 years ago which took the use of my right side. This has left me unable to wash and dress myself.
Home instead carers have provided this assistance in the mornings for two years. This helps my wife who otherwise is my full-time carer and gives her an hour to herself each day.

The team at Home Instead have been fantastic in arranging support for my mother. The caregivers are caring to her needs and make helpful suggestions about ways to help her and enhance her quality of life. The app means that we are updated after every visit, so always know what she has been doing and
if there are any concerns. The office staff are available by phone or email and respond promptly to all my queries. I am very pleased with the service they provide and would highly recommend them to others.

My Mother was extremely anxious to be receiving personal care (a weekly shower) and was in denial about the need for such help. However, the rapport that was struck up with my Mother was immediate and warm. She was able to reassure her immediately about what was going to happen and her easy and engaging
style helped my Mother to relax and feel less anxious.
Because of her anxieties, My mother was worried that the weekly care visits would extend into the time when the District Nurse usually calls, but the carer was very efficient and always arrived on time thus minimising the anxiety my Mother felt. She never rushed these visits, recognising the value of just sitting and chatting and by so doing has developed a strong bond with my Mother. My Mother always looks forward to the time when the carer calls and she always talks about her when I visit.
Home instead capture exactly the right balance between completing the job that she is called in to do, whilst doing it in a friendly manner.

We’ve been with Home Instead (West Leicestershire & Market Bosworth) just over a year and only had one issue at the beginning of the plan, but on calling the office this issue was resolved very quickly.
The girls are all fantastic and my father in law, loves them attending his home.

I have been having Home Instead to care for my mum since January of 2022. From day one when they came to see me to sort out the requirements for mum, I could see what a professional organisation they were. Then when the caregiver started coming in in early January to care for Mum I was delighted with
her from the first day. She comes in for three hours every other Monday afternoon. This gives me time for myself to go out shopping etc. Mum adores her. So much so that when it is time for her to leave Mum asks when she is coming again. In fact she doesn't want her to leave. It also means I can relax safe in the knowledge that she is well cared for by her. I also get along great with her and I now look on her as a member of the family. I am even considering increasing the service to every Monday.

Nisha qualified as a Dispensing Optician and worked as a General Manager for Vision Express. In her six years at Vision Express, she was involved in the growth of the organization, leading the set-up and the operation of new stores.


After a career break to focus on her two daughters, Nisha joined Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation as a Consultant, advancing Philanthropy within Leicestershire and Rutland.


Nisha was attracted to Home Instead after experiencing poor care for her own mother and realizing how high-quality care can make a real difference to people’s lives and lives of their families.
