Much has been documented about care for the elderly and the daunting task many family members feel they face when trying to support elderly loved ones particularly when they want to remain in their own home. I approached Home Instead after a recommendation and a less than acceptable experience with
another care provider. My 87-year-old father was very clear about what he wanted and from start to finish the team at Home Instead were amazing. They were clear that it wasn't just about finding a carer but finding the right fit of personality and skills for my Pa. He now has a regular carer with whom he has already built a great relationship based on trust and mutual respect. He really looks forward to her visits (and her amazing cooking) and her care has made a positive difference to his general wellbeing. Needless to say, it's a huge relief to know that Pa is happy and well cared for. I'm very grateful to the Home Instead team and in particular to his lovely carer! Thank you.

My mum looks forward to her daily visits from her carers. They put a lot of thought into engaging her in different activities based on her needs and interests. I have the peace of mind that a friendly carer will check on her wellbeing as well as her physical health.

How fortunate that we found Home Instead Senior Care (West Leicestershire & Market Bosworth)! My father has lived alone for 18 years and has managed incredibly well. Age 93 years and disabled, he now needs regular contact on a daily basis. I live 30 miles away and travel at least three times a week
to be with him. The care and respect given by Home Instead Senior Care (West Leicestershire & Market Bosworth) is superb. I have every confidence. They treat my dad, a lovely gentleman, in the best possible way.

Home Instead are so much better than the previous agency who looked after my mum. They always arrive on time and stay for the full time that we have requested. They never rush mum and always talk to her about what they are doing and treat her with respect and consider her dignity. They also consider
my Dad’s wishes and feelings about my mum's care as far as possible and are always cheery and friendly.

My lovely Mum lives with me, I spent 6 weeks calling care companies, most didn't even call back. Home Instead did! From the moment the lady walked through my door I had a good feeling! Soon aftercare started for Mum. I had concerns, firstly that Mum gets the care and respect she rightly deserves and
secondly, having people in my home I hadn't got to know properly. It took just one visit from Mums carer to put my mind at rest. Having returned home, I found Mum happy, content, looking fabulous, bright as a button and ready for the day, telling me how lovely the lady was! My home was as I left it with the carer tidying up after Mum. I love this company, they send the same carer so your loved one builds a friendship up with them. They give their carers enough time to get the job done without rushing so your loved one is not rushed. My household feels like we have made a good friend and I can't recommend them enough! If you need care, get what you deserve and go with these, you won't be disappointed!

I have nothing but praise for the level of care offered to my mother. The carers are all wonderful, attentive, supportive and kind. If I struggle with times when I cannot look after Mum due to other family commitments, the lovely office staff try their utmost to help me out. Overall I can safely say
that I feel confident in my decision to continue Mum's care in her own home which wouldn't be possible without this brilliant Home Instead service.

We as a family could not have been happier with the care and support provided by Home Instead. My dad was looked after wonderfully and mum was supported so well in caring for my dad. The carers were tailored to us and they couldn't have been any better. They became part of the family. Dad was treated
with dignity and respect and their help added quality to the last year of dad's life. I can't praise the carers or the company highly enough and would gladly recommend them to anyone requiring care for themself or a loved one. They provide genuine care and support to those who need it aswell as the extended family and we are very happy with our involvement with them.

The care and attention given to mum since we employed Home Instead 10 months ago have been outstanding.
From our first meeting with the manager, we felt reassured that mum's needs would be met and they were, from everyone.
Mum looked forward to her twice daily visits, she enjoyed the companionship
of all of her caregivers she particularly enjoyed the games of Scrabble.
Whenever we contacted the office the staff have always been friendly, our requests or concerns were always dealt with very efficiently.
Recently she had the misfortune of a fall, the caregiver that day went above and beyond the call of duty, even accompanied mum to the hospital for which we are very grateful, the office staff were excellent at keeping us in the picture.
Mum has now taken residence in a retirement home and it is for this reason only that we no longer need the care from Home Instead.
We could not recommend all of the Home Instead team highly enough!

Having tried many other care providers, I have now found a provider who will work with me to provide the highest tailor-made care for my mother. It is very reassuring to know my mother's needs are met in the way she likes to do things. The carers are very patient and attentive and encourage my mother
to do the things she used to like, such as go for walks and talk.
Any communications made with carers are duly noted and carried out eg leaving the radio/ tv on certain days, getting her ready on time for day centers, shopping for items needed, creams applied etc.
The consistent timing of each care call helps enormously, due to mums condition. At the same time, they will do their best to fit in extra calls when my mum is ill, or change times if needed.
I find the office very professional, friendly and helpful. It is always stressful managing a loved ones care, but they make it very easy by being caring and reliant. I am even able to get a quick response in out of office hours.

I hold Power of Attorney for an eighty four year old lady who I have personally known for more than forty years. Five months ago I found it necessary to sell her home and purchase a flat for her. At the same time she broke her second hip and I decided to find carers for her. She is visited twice
a day for personal care and meal provision. The care team also take her to appointments, such as doctors and dentists. Other outside visits are also undertaken. I personally am very impressed so far with this company. I am also pleased with the contact with myself which is virtually always by email which is quick and efficient.

Home Instead was recommended to us by friends, a recommendation that has proved fully justified.
The management has been professional but caring, supportive and do their utmost to support mum, who has Alzheimer's.
The company provides carers and aim to use only 1 or 2 to support mum so that there
is a consistency of approach. They establish a close relationship with mum, talk to her and support her requests as much as possible.
They are regarded by mum as friends that she can talk to, have discussions with and thus help her to remain in her own home. The carers are punctual and excellent at keeping in contact with us to discuss mum and to pass on information about events or her condition.
Home Instead has been very helpful in being flexible about the times of care provision when we have had to change times due to family arrangements etc.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the care provision provided by Home Instead, the manager and her team.

My mum has such a lovely time with staff from Home Instead. They always engage her in conversation and are proactive in suggesting things they can do together; they bake and sort out cupboards and clothes. She has been to the local garden centre for tea and cake and if the weather permits, a short walk
is usually fitted into the visit. They make it a special time for mum, which is much appreciated by both of us.

From our first contact, we found Home Instead to be very flexible to our quickly changing needs in the care of my father-in-law, whose condition deteriorated rapidly.
Throughout the short period of care, he was treated kindly and with great dignity; no request was too much to ask of the carers, who
showed empathy and worked diligently, but also provided companionship and a regular friendly face, keeping a very human approach to a difficult situation. My father-in-law had an immediate rapport with his main carer; he looked forward to her visits and they always had a laugh together.
My father-law was treated as a person in need of help, not just as a job to be done and we had absolute confidence entrusting him to the care of the Home Instead carers, which made life very much easier for us. We will always be extremely grateful to Home Instead for the brilliant support they provided.

I have been very pleased with the level of care and attention that mum is receiving. Mum has taken very well to her assigned caregiver and really looks forward to her visits. I have noticed a change in mum for the better so we are all very pleased with the service and the effect it is having. Communication
with the caregiver and office is also good when it's been necessary to change any dates or medication details.

After a career break to focus on her two daughters, Nisha joined Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation as a Consultant, advancing Philanthropy within Leicestershire and Rutland.
