Realise (South West)

My name is Emma Fox, I am one of the Registered Area Managers here at Realise. I began working for the company in January 2015, starting off as a senior support worker. I have worked in various roles within Realise, this has helped me have a strong understanding of the organisation and our values.

Prior to working at Realise I worked in a variety of different care settings from nursing homes to learning disability residential homes. Caring runs in my family, with my Mum working in care and my Nan before her. It is safe to say, working in learning disabilities is my passion and I come to work every day loving what I do.

I am a Positive Behaviour Support Coach, this is an approach that I feel very strongly about as the aim of PBS is to improve a person’s quality of life and that of the people around them. This culture runs deep within Realise and I am incredibly proud of that.

My name is Joanne Leigh and I have been with Realise for almost 10 years now as a Registered Manager.

Prior to joining Somerset Care I was a registered manager in a children’s residential service having started as a support worker in 1999. I have a long history of working in the care sector and can honestly say I love it.

I have achieved many qualifications over the years including a Level 7 in Business Management, Level 5 in Health and Social Care, IOSH, Level 2 and 3 in Supporting Mental Health.
