The service offers a wide range of home care which is flexible according to individual needs; care can be provided from as little as a few hours per week to as much as twenty-four hours a day.

The Home Instead care team offers companionship services, including conversation, help with travel and accompanying clients to social events and outings. Home help services are also available, such as collecting prescriptions, light housekeeping and providing help with shopping. The care team can also provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing and eating.

After other care was being given to my dad was deemed to be totally unacceptable by our family. After reading the many positive reviews on Home Instead we decided to give them a try we have not been disappointed as his main carer has been outstanding. We feel all the carers are not as committed but
are happy with overall care.

An excellent care company. Communication is very good, and the carers are reliable and caring. I know that my aunt is in very safe hands, and I cannot thank them enough.

My mother-in-law has care from Home Instead. She feels secure and safe knowing they will be coming into her and assisting her with personal hygiene needs - making her food. I am a retired nursing sister, and I have been very impressed with the level of care given. All of my mother-in-law's care needs
are met. The staff always give feedback and contact us if they are concerned. Can't thank them enough.

Home Instead are a wonderful group of people. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and my dad is treated with respect and dignity. In fact, they treat him as one of their own. The carers are great, and I can now go to work and not worry about my dad as Home Instead have got it covered! Thank you!

I manage my aunt's affairs from 250 miles away via a power of attorney. I used to visit monthly, before Covid-19, and I speak to her every evening to check on how she is and to provide some family contact.
Home Instead manages everything else and the standard of caregivers and the services they provide
has been first class throughout the period before and after Covid-19. My aunt is happy, suitably fed (they now shop rather than me doing a weekly online shop) and generally fit and well for her age.
During Covid-19 they restricted the number of caregivers and put appropriate on-site measures in place to ensure she was as safe as possible, liaising with me regularly throughout. They continue to advise me when something else is needed and are proactive with regards to issues like medicines and personal care items.
It would be very hard for me to manage her affairs effectively without a high-quality agency on-site and Home Instead (Knowsley & Liverpool East) satisfies this amply.

During the lockdown Home Instead and individual carers have been so helpful and supportive as I live in Wales, so far from my parents. Helping to solve the daily issues which arise has been invaluable. They are part of the family. Thank you. Key issues of safety and being treated with dignity, you have
been outstanding.

Our experience with Home Instead was one of excellent support and care for Mum from day one. All departments worked well together and kept us informed at all times. Nothing was too much trouble and all individuals carried out their work with care and compassion every day and as a family, we will be
forever grateful.

Home Instead looked after my Dad for five years before he passed away on Christmas Day 2019. During those years, Dad was always looked after so well, with kindness, respect and care. The last two weeks of his life were spent at home, with the wonderful care of home Instead caregivers. We will never
forget the care, kindness and dignity they showed him during the most difficult time. 24-hour care for the last week and he passed away peacefully.

As a family, we chose this agency on recommendation from a family friend. From the onset, we found the team very helpful in accommodating our needs for Mum. The team delivering the care were professional, caring and very helpful, and with their help and care, we managed to keep Mum in her house till
she died. They all had great empathy and often laughed with Mum which was a joy for us as a family.

Home Instead have been supporting my dear friend for the past 18 months. The caregivers are very dedicated and caring - they will always go that extra mile to ensure their clients are safe and secure in their own home. The team in the office is equally professional and responsive whenever I contact
them. Quite simply, we couldn't cope without Home Instead!

Mum had a fall last December which greatly reduced her mobility. As a previously active person, who regularly walked and used public transport to get around, the impact on her life was significant as immediately her world became smaller. Living so far away we were unable to expand her world ourselves.
However, since Home Instead became involved mums world has opened up again as her Caregivers not only accompany her on therapy appointments but also take her out and about. Mum is back loving life again and having great adventures. We cannot thank the team enough as mum is not only back doing the things she loves but has also got experiences to share with us when we ring. It was the best decision we made getting this company involved. Our heartfelt thanks to the team.

It was reassuring to have this service involved when I was not able to visit each day. All staff were friendly, caring and understanding of the needs of the client and her family. They were available to contact by phone or email to discuss concerns and responsive to changing times and organisation of
the visits to suit the client's needs.

Your organisation was recommended by a doctor friend. Your services have enabled my relative to maintain her independence and dignity for the last two years. I can confirm your staff/carers are totally professional and carry out their duties with compassion and understanding. Regular review meetings
are carried out in a friendly and open manner with any problems discussed and resolved. Any actions from the meetings are quickly put in place. I would recommend your services to anyone who is struggling with their lifestyle and requires help with home independence.

I was introduced to Home Instead 3 years ago when I was seeking a companion for my elderly father. From the outset Home Instead responded promptly to my request and we have not looked back since. The service provided is truly a lifeline. All staff are professional, efficient and courteous and the caregivers
have such empathy and genuinely care for my father's wellbeing. The service allows me to have time to recharge my batteries and enjoy hobbies or just catching up with friends. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead. Keep up the fantastic work.

Barry Lambert

Job Title: Director

I was born in Huyton and have spent most of my life living and working within Knowsley and Liverpool area.

After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Political Science, I began a 25 year career with one of the major high street banks. After the banking crisis, I realised I no longer shared the values of the banking sector and decided it was time for a change of direction.

I wanted to use my commercial and managerial experience to make a difference to peoples lives. In particular I was attracted by Home Instead unique focus on companionship, having experienced at first hand the impact of loneliness and isolation amongst elderly people.

My role is to manage and grow the business, by building strong relationships within the local community with groups and individuals who have close links to the elderly. I will personally ensure that my team deliver the highest standards of service, and put our client's interests at the centre of everything we do.
