All the caregivers have been genuinely caring, understanding, ready to encourage Mum to enjoy her days whilst still being restricted with the lockdown. A breath of fresh air and walk around the garden brings a smile and for wet days a chat, a puzzle but always doing the essentials and making sure she
is comfortable and has enjoyable meals. Always ready to listen, always the extra mile. An excellent CareGiver Service everybody gives their best, but any slip or emergency dealt with immediately and professionally. Well done everybody.

From the first meeting I had with Home Instead staff in January, I knew they would be the right choice to look after my elderly parents in their nineties, both diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The bond that has been built up between them and the carers who visit twice a day, is genuine and wonderful
and they look forward to seeing them, having a chat and a laugh, at the same time I know they are being looked after with respect and dignity, and helped with their medication and personal needs. I can go back to being their daughter instead of their carer, and enjoy my time with my parents in a different way. Home Instead have been a blessing to us and I don't know what I would do without them.

The care staff have been brilliant with our family member suffering from dementia, we thought that she would not adapt to care services by a 3rd party but she did and is very happy. The staff are very willing to do whatever is needed to help out during their visit, Staff are not changed unless absolutely
necessary. The online record service is also great so that I can log in and check what has been done each day and who has visited. Would definitely recommend and use again if necessary.

Dad has been having evening and weekend visits from Home Instead for the last month. He has been very happy with them. They are interested to hear about his life and ask him questions. He is happy to chat and looks forward to the visits.

Very pleased with the support being given with regard to meal preparation, light household tasks and companionship. Thorough fact-finding carried out at the initial visit and regular follow-ups in place to ensure that everything is still meeting with our requirements.

Initially help was needed for a light lunch for me plus some cleaning eg of lounge and hall carpet or similar. Recently with less hours now (my choice of 2 a week) the concentration is on shopping for meals. Even now I hope we'll continue with the occasional fun/relaxing 2 hours!

My father, who has dementia, is in a local care home where he is well cared for, but bored. Home Instead provide an excellent male carer who comes twice a week to take Dad out. The carer will take Dad wherever he wishes to go, for example for lunch at the pub or to a local attraction that Dad wishes
to visit. He has also taken responsibility for taking Dad to, and making for him, dental appointments for a new dental plate to be made - the family are all a distance away and the care home was less than reliable in this respect. It is a huge relief to us and has made a significant difference to Dad’s well-being. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

I am the registered carer of my wife, who suffers from early mixed dementia. The care, two mornings a week, which she receives is excellent. We have three ladies to help us who we regard as friends, not just helpers.
Nothing is too much trouble - meals, shopping, dog walking, showering, laundry and
all the personal help, which is sometimes needed. I feel very confident if I have to leave home with the ladies present.

As a member of my family and myself do not need any special care yet I cannot comment on care/support. The staff who come to do the cleaning for me have all been very friendly, polite and helpful and in general very good company.

Caregivers are very attentive and knowledgeable. The admin team respond to requests etc on a timely basis with cheerfulness. All in all, they walk on water and only occasionally fall in.

It has been a very worrying time sorting Mum's personal care. One reason was Mum could not see the need for it and was resistant.
Both carers sent by Home Instead (weekdays and weekend were different ones) were outstandingly skilled at working with Mum and everyone is really happy Mum is now clean
and comfortable.
Would definitely recommend them (I was recommended them by my best friend). Thank you Home Instead.

The initial introduction to the care provided was friendly, encouraging and gave a clear picture of what was on offer. The main attraction was that the client would be visited by the same carer each time and also that it would be a male carer. This was important for my husband as he could relate more
as a friend and not feel patronised. The resulting care was excellent and my husband looked forward to the visits thus making it easier for me to enjoy the breaks I needed. My husband enjoyed going for walks, trips out in the car and discussions on politics and tv programmes. When mobility declined he was taken out in his wheelchair. An excellent service from carer and office staff.

Home Instead is a company who have been coming here for several years, primarily to care for my husband, who sadly passed away about 6 months ago. They were ALL fantastic; punctual, polite, caring and nothing was too much trouble. Their knowledge of caring was so kind and helpful in many, many ways.
I have recommended them to many people and I find now if I need any help or advice they are the company I turn to.

I felt compelled to write this review as I have been so impressed with the care my father has been receiving from Home Instead Senior Care. He is a fairly quiet, reserved and private man and as a family, we weren't quite sure how he would take to having caregivers going into his home and basically into
his world. We needn't have been concerned as they have made such a difference to his wellbeing and to his spirits in general.
Furthermore, when he had a fall recently and the paramedics had to be called out, not only did the caregiver call them automatically, but she also stayed late until family arrived to take over, but not before she had efficiently packed him a more than adequate toilet bag and then subsequently visited him in hospital during his stay.
This made my father feel special and not just cared for, but cared about.
All this has added to friendships developing also as he is visited by the same caregivers, which has meant that they have really got to know him, his likes and dislikes and have provided an overall, person-centred approach.
