The Good Care Group have been excellent, the initial assessments, allocation of suitable carers, setting up contracts, and payments were very streamlined and quick. Our carers have been absolutely amazing, such lovely people, caring, and treating my mother with dignity and patience. I cannot fault them
in any way. They continue to improve my mum's wellbeing and stimulation and are very conscientious with regards to anything that needs tweaking as far as Mum's health is concerned. Would recommend to others. A+++

We have been very happy with the care provided by the carer. She cares for my father exceptionally well and always seeks opportunities to improve his life, such as by finding films, books or games for him, cooking his favourite food or taking him out when possible.

Reply from Eilidh Douglas, Care Manager at The Good Care Group Scotland Ltd

Care manager.

The care Mum has received this month and previously is very good. The manager is excellent and very approachable and we have an excellent relationship too. However, we have noticed within the last year that the carers are having to be guided, by my mother, to complete day-to-day tasks. Fortunately,
my mother has capacity to do this but she does get anxious. Also, the cooking that the carers do now, not many of the carers appear to cook food like good old mince and tatties. Finally, Mum likes using her iPad and phone and the carers do not seem well-versed in using it.

The care provided has been excellent. Both carers for my father have been good, one excellent (my fathers words also).
My father is much happier now, his well being is ensured. Also the house is well looked after.
Communication via the portal is very helpful, we are confident any issues can be and
are raised so they can be dealt with appropriately.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.625 for The Good Care Group Scotland Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (28 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 40 Ratings = 4.625

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for The Good Care Group Scotland Ltd is based on 7 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.7

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I am a registered nurse with over 19 years’ experience in the health and social care industry.
