We’ve used Alpenbest South through the local authority for some years now. We are kept advised of any changes to staff and rota and have good communication with the managers and carers. We’ve always found them helpful and attentive.


As with any care agency, communication is vital on both sides,

whether direct from/with the client or their next of kin. Establishing and maintaining these relationships assures everything runs as smoothly as possible.

All the carers who visit my elderly father treat him with great respect.
They are very courteous and friendly. They genuinely seem to care about him and his unique needs.
The managers respond quickly if we have any concerns. I have received calls to tell me they have been in touch with his doctor
if they are worried about anything. This gives me great peace of mind to know that they are aware of any unusual changes and actively do something about it.

I have had Alpenbest carers coming into my Grandmother for the past 18months - 2 years.
They have some real shiny gems of carers who really go the extra mile to provide kind, efficient care to a high standard and who I can’t thank enough for the care they’ve given and continue to give my Nan. Our carer
deserves a special mention she really is our shiny star.
We’ve had a couple of carers who didn’t meet this same standard and when speaking to people in the office my concerns were dealt with appropriately and sensitively which I appreciated.
I would recommend Alpenbest if you were looking for carers for yourself or a family member.

Alpenbest have been providing care for my wife for over a year now. Throughout this time, we have had a number of carers, who have all provided excellent service. Normally, we have the same carer each day, so we are able to build up a rapport, and they understand what needs to be done. On their days
off, another carer comes, normally one of a small number who have visited before. We have had few issues throughout the year, and whenever there has been a need to contact the office, there is always someone there to sort out any problems or queries. Our service is provided through the county’s social care department so I am unable to comment on ‘value for money’, otherwise we are very pleased with the service from Alpenbest.

Alpenbest South have provided great service and care to my family for the last 3 years or more. Primarily for my father, who sadly passed away 01/09/18. One member of staff in particular really made a difference to my dad. This particularly member of staff has a great rapport with my dad and cared in
a very detailed way for his needs. He had a really good laugh with him too. This contact helped him greatly as his dementia and cancer deteriorated. He took the time to visit him in hospital, he attended the funeral, as a great carer but also a real friend of my father and now family, at a very difficult and poignant time of life. We are forever grateful for this and the extra level of care and friendship that truly made a difference. We know how much dad thought of this particular member of staff and the care he provided, that means a lot to us. We're very happy that this staff member helped him and made him happy. Thanks also to two other staff members and all others involved, who are now helping my mum too. Management have also been friendly and efficient. Big thanks once again Alpenbest South.

My mum is happy with her care package. She really likes all her carers. She tells me all the time how hard they work.


Her only criticism is that she would like to know on a weekly basis who will be caring for her. She tells me that you do send her a list of her weekly carers but it is not consistent.

My mother is 95 and has been having the Alpenbest Carers for five months now. I am very pleased with what they are doing for her. A carer comes three times a day and all her needs are cared for including washing, making meals, changing clothes, tidying up etc. My mother is always pleased to see them
as it is company for her as well.

Because of the circumstances in my husband's case, who soon after leaving hospital and recovery unit fell in the house and sustaiined new injuries and needed to be readmitted for another operation, our experience of Alpenbest has been short and we cannot really give a realistic appraisal of their services.
But the service we did receive for five days was efficient and satisfactory. The office arrangements can be a bit erratic but are soon rectified and the carer who came was cheerful, helpful and extremely adaptable to our needs.

Alpenbest South has exceeded my expectations. Extra support was needed for my father's dialysis/palliative care. Alpenbest has contributed to my father being able to remain in his own home. Due to chronic illness, he has a high level of excellent medical support from multidisciplinary groups including
a hospice. A marvellous network providing high-quality support. Alpenbest team in the community and at the office are extremely caring and professional. They have been very flexible when dealing with last minute changes, like
late transport from dialysis and they have been accommodating changing time slots etc. Dad has grown very fond of his team and their daily visits add value to his quality of life. I have peace of mind as I leave him, knowing someone is popping in or taking him to see mum in the care home. This gives me a valuable break. I have 20 yrs experience in the care sector. I cannot praise Alpenbest enough for their support over the last 3 months. Thank you.

I have used Alpenbest South for the past 5 years on and off for the care of My mother. They have excellent staff; well trained and personable-ie very friendly and understanding towards the elderly and their special issues whether for physical care or communication. They have always been on time and
professional and extremely knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for care for the elderly.
