When choosing a care service for one's very elderly frail mother (98 years), one hopes to find carers who are kind, gentle and capable and are able to develop a positive relationship with the client, meeting individual requirements, encouraging choice and sustaining dignity. All of these hopes have
been met fully by Home Instead, signicantly influenced by consistency of well-motivated and well-trained staff, with most of the weekly 13.5 hours service being delivered by two staff, with the balance being delivered by a very limited number of other personnel.

Home Instead have been amazing for us. Before we found Home Instead, myself and my sister were massively struggling to cope with the demands of looking after our mentally ill mother. She was not looking after herself and her living on her own was dangerous on many levels, but she did not want to move
into residential care. Over the last year, care givers from Home Instead have been visiting every day – helping with her day to day needs and tasks, keeping her company and assessing any changes. This has meant she hasn’t needed to move into care and has managed to keep some level of independence and our lives have improved dramatically. The staff at Home Instead are friendly, approachable and professional and come highly recommended.

From the start of using the Home Instead Homecare Service, we were satisfied and extremely pleased with the care our Mother received. A high standard of care and attention to detail. She was very happy during the period of care and built good relationships with all her carers which, as a family, was
such a help to us at a difficult time.
The notes were always well written so I could always see what had gone on during a shift. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

Home Instead have been supportive and accommodating from the first meeting. They took care to match carers to the client, monitored them and took detailed notes to enable them to get to know the client as soon as possible.
The manager checks regularly to ensure that we are happy with the service and
office staff are friendly when I need to ring them.
