We are sorry to hear your experience with Right at Home has not been positive and can assure you we take all complaints and concerns very seriously.
However, we do not believe that this experience is reflective of our excellent service where high quality and compassionate care is delivered as noted in our recent CIW inspection report, and can also be evidenced from the feedback from several other clients. It is important to remind you that our contract was directly with the local authority and our contractual obligations were fully met. It is so unfortunate that you feel this way after we provided care to your mum for almost one year and the whole arrangement was agreed with you and followed as per mum’s care and support plan.
We will always do everything in our power to deliver the highest quality care to the people we support. We look forward to the opportunity to improve the services we provide and hope to resolve any concerns relating to our service and employees.

Hello, I am Joe Guishard – Owner of Right at Home, Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan.
I am very proud of being the first Right at Home provider of care to the seniors in the Welsh Principality. I was born in Cardiff and have lived here all my life, so it gives me a feeling of great pride that I can now offer a service to the community that has helped look after me.
Prior to opening this company, I was a serving police officer for 6 years, wearing shoe leather in Cardiff. On my “off duty” days, I spent many hours supporting my elderly grandparents in a multitude of areas. These include practical tasks such as gardening and cooking, but also engaging in long fascinating conversations with my grandma about the ‘good old days’. I knew should they want care in their own homes, later on in life where family or loved ones were not able to help, then I would want them to have the quality of care that they deserve. I came to realise that by opening Right at Home in Cardiff and Newport I would be able to offer this quality care, and also ensure that other seniors or vulnerable adults looking for similar quality services could rely on me and my company.

Hi, my name is Holly, I have worked in care for almost ten years, starting my care journey with Right At Home when I was in university studying Education. I began as a carer and progressed through the company, firstly as admin then co-ordinator, to Registered Manager.
I left for a short time after having my daughter, to work in another domiciliary care agency as their Networking Officer, before now returning to my roots with Right At Home.
I have two young children – an 8-month-old son and a 2 ½-year-old daughter, so when I am not at work I am generally chasing them around, stopping the baby from dribbling on the toddler or stopping the toddler from throwing things at the baby. When I am not wrestling with the children, I prefer to spend my time outdoors, walking with my dog, relaxing in the garden with a book, or trying and failing to grow things in my allotment.
I working in the care industry because I want to make a difference! I enjoy meeting people and doing what I can to ensure they have the best day possible.
I am really excited to be back as part of the Right At Home team, and I am looking forward to catching up with those I have worked with previously, and getting to know staff I have not met yet.

Hello, I’m Annie! I’ve worked in care for almost 13 years, and my journey has been an incredible one. I originally started looking for part-time work that fit around my family, and that’s when I joined Right at Home as a Carer. From there, I progressed to Senior Carer, then Community Lead, and eventually began training new starters—something I truly loved.
After gaining more experience, I moved into the office to work alongside the compliance team as a Field Care Supervisor. I later took on a managerial role outside of Right at Home to further develop my skills, but now, I’m beyond excited to be back where it all started!
I’m thrilled to join the Bridgend team and can’t wait to work alongside such a dedicated and passionate group of people.
Outside of work, I love to stay active. Running is a big passion of mine, and I’ve recently joined a running group, which has been so much fun!
