The manager and her team looked after my mother in the last couple of weeks of her life. Everyone at Bay Home Care was so lovely and not only delivered excellent care they actually took the time to speak to my mum, getting to know her the best they could. The care my mum received was done with dignity,
making my mum feel as much at ease as possible. The manager, in particular, was very good with my dad who wasn't coping very well, she went over time on many occasions as she understood how difficult it can be at the end of life, she helped us to understand exactly what was happening and was a shoulder to cry on.

Reply from Jess McDonald, Care Co-Ordinator at Bay Home Care

Thank you for your heartfelt review of Bay Home Care. We truly appreciate your kind words and are grateful for the opportunity to have cared for your mother during her final weeks. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care with compassion and dignity, and we are glad to hear that we achieved that for your mother.
At Bay Home Care, we believe in building meaningful connections with our clients, and we are delighted that our team took the time to get to know your mother personally. It is our goal to make each individual feel at ease and supported throughout their care journey.

We understand that the end-of-life period can be challenging for families, and we are glad that our manager was able to offer support to your father. Providing that extra time and understanding is something we prioritize, as we want to be there for both our clients and their loved ones.

I and my family stayed in a holiday home for two weeks.

We booked a two-week stay with our friends from The Netherlands in a lodge at Otter Tarn, Backbarrow and needed a carer first thing in the morning to look after one of our friends who is disabled. Having phoned around the various care providers, we found this perfect company that was able to send one
of their team every morning to assist my friend. Bay Home Care could not have been more helpful in making our friend's stay a memorable one. Cannot thank all the Bay Care team enough for providing such a professional service.

The Bay View team cared for our father for the past 12 months and throughout that time were far more than just carers in the way that they all developed a close relationship with him. Every visit became an event for him to look forward to and without a doubt, it was a significant feature in making the
last period of his life one filled with laughter and love.
We will always be grateful for what they did.

We were lucky enough to have support from the staff from Bay Home Care come to support our son six hours a week in the school holidays. He has very complex health needs and their support allowed us a much-needed break. Our son is non-verbal and needs total support; gastric feed etc. Every time he heard
their voices he laughed, which told us he was happy with them. Thank you for getting us through the holidays.

We were very pleased with the care and attention given to him by the care staff. They were caring and sympathetic when needed; he enjoyed the different company. The staff always made sure he was comfortable before they left. I would certainly recommend Bay Home Care.

Bay Care assisted my husband for almost 12-months, firstly one a day, then eventually three times a day, even coming out when needed in an emergency. The carers were always pleasant and made my husband happy and kept his spirits up. They always came on time and helped me enormously, lifting my spirits
also. I will be always grateful for their help.

Thank you for providing my father with professional care in his home for the last couple of years of his life. As his needs increased, both he and I appreciated that you were able to tailor your help to suit the changes. Every one of your team who visited him was always conscientious, kind and friendly;
my father particularly liked the fact that it was a mixed team of men and women and that the dress code, while easily recognisable, doesn't suggest the role of a nurse. Having said that, your expertise and medical knowledge were important and reassuring. As a daughter in the role of carer, I was grateful for the support given to me, too.

As I live in Australia, it gives me peace of mind to have Bay Home Care look after my sister who is elderly as well as intellectually disabled. Recently, at the height of the Covid lockdown, she had to go to the hospital for some intervention. Before being admitted, she had to isolate for 2 weeks, as
well as get a couple of tests. This would have been impossible to arrange without the amazing staff at Bay Home Care. My wife and I are more than happy with the care they provide to my sister. I really don't know how my sister could manage without their services.

The entire team at Bay Care as ever have been superb even in these difficult times. Despite the added workload and pressures, this must bring, all the carers have continued to deliver their professional friendly service with a smile. Mum had a spell in hospital late last year and her recovery has been
helped greatly by the team both with their care and their feedback to me on her progress and their observations. I would recommend this team to anyone. Thank you to you all.

The team at Bay Home Care went above and beyond in their dealing with a critical urgent matter of care recently. The management and staff here are not only professional and treat people in their care with respect and dignity, they provide support for all of the family. Without Bay Home Care, we would
have been not only stuck in a very challenging situation - but also at a loss at what to do or where to go next. The ongoing support that is being provided is amazing. I cannot recommend this agency and the team highly enough. The management of Bay Home Care are compassionate, intelligent, effective, flexible and responsive and the world is a better place for having the manager and the team in it.

As a volunteer, I attend the flat of a very confused 99-year-old lady in May 2020. I phoned her Dr. but they didn't offer out of hours service. Luckily I found details for Bay Home Care in her address book. Their out of hours number was answered very quickly, I explained the problem and as the carer
was with someone else, she called a local off duty carer to come and help. She arrived within three minutes and I witnessed first hand her wonderful caring, compassionate response.
The next day the owner of Bay Home Care gave me an update, she had contacted the ladies power of attorney, as she had no family and they had increased her care package to ensure her health and well being. The Bay Home Care staff and owner were amazing throughout, from their compassion and excellent swift response to their follow up arrangements and reassuring feedback. I would fully recommend their services to anyone who wants their relatives to be cared for by a company with great compassion and excellent professional standards.
