Inspired by her mother, who remained in the care industry for many years, Laura joined Bluebird Care in January 2013, initially as a Care Assistant and then Care Manager for many years before taking on the role of Operations Manager.
As Operations Manager, she is responsible for the effective and daily governing of the company - ensuring that a credible service is being provided at all times and to CQC's quality assurance compliance framework.
Job Title: Care Manager
I have worked in care for 25 years in different roles. I have a Level 3 NVQ. I have been working for Bluebird Care for nearly four years. I have always loved my job. I started here as a care worker and worked my way up to Field Care Supervisor, a very rewarding role. I enjoy learning new skills, which I often do in my new position. I love the support I get from my colleagues, both office staff and care workers. I enjoy meeting and shadowing new care workers and meeting new customers. I also love catching up with existing customers that I used to visit.
I look forward to the challenges my new supervisor position will bring me.
