All carers are very understanding. Good to have support in our hour of need and a relief to know, if a 'hiccup' in future, that we can rely on Bluebird Care to help. My husband suffered severe gout in both hands so help was urgent, luckily he recovered after ten days.

Excellent standard of care given to my mum who has Dementia, she loves them all who visit and help her! Highly recommend Bluebird carers, they would do anything for her, and it's nice to know that someone helps her get washed and dressed.

My husband has been receiving twice daily calls from your Carers for support with his personal care since February 2023 and this has proven to be such a help, both to him and to myself.
They are kind, friendly, cheerful, and efficient and it is a pleasure to see them each day.
In the main the times
they arrive are consistent, barring the odd glitch when I'm aware they are perhaps overstretched because of illness or absence, and when there has been an emergency which has thrown the timetable a little I have always been pre-notified by the admin staff.
I have never had a missed call. They have been totally reliable.

I am very satisfied with the care that I receive, the carers are excellent and they all complete my care in full. The office are good with helping me if there is an issue. I have six-month reviews that help to alter any changes I need in my care plan.

After my mum came out of the hospital, we needed some additional care to help her get back on her feet. My mum being a new client to Bluebird Care has settled in well with all your lovely carers, naturally all having individual personalities she’s already established her favourites and asks when will I see you again! She relays to me little conversations saying which carers have children and if they live
in the area etc, which I feel is lovely as Mum likes to think she knows them.
All Bluebird, staff are kind, caring and efficient, they are both respectful and friendly and a big confidence booster to both my mother and myself.
My mum asks how long can she have these ladies coming in and I reply forever so in my mind that speaks for itself.

The carers that have been looking after my mum have been great! They are kind and caring and always make Mum feel at ease when they are there. The communication is excellent and they have taken on board any suggestions I have made to make Mum's care better. Dealing with Bluebird has been very straight

I have been very impressed with Bluebird Care. All the carers that look after my mum have been very friendly and professional. Nothing has been too much trouble. The office has also been very helpful and professional. I have had previous experience with a care company some years ago when my dad needed
care. This was not a very good experience. I am so pleased that Bluebird have been exceptionally helpful and professional and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a care company that you can rely on.

Full of praise for the carers who came in to look after dad and support him with his daily needs. The carers were always positive and very respectful towards dad. They made a difficult job look easy.
Dealing with Bluebird Care has been very easy and the staff in the office have been very reassuring.
Nothing has been too much trouble and we always received a call if there was a problem.
Now, dad's care has regrettably come to an end, our family would like to thank you for your professionalism and kindness in looking after dad.

Over two years, Bluebird carers came in daily to support our mother then our father. It is a very difficult time organising care for beloved parents, and Bluebird showed kindness, experience and professionalism. There was always a friendly voice on the phone for any queries and support with the health
services. The carers had a way of working with our parents where they accepted and welcomed the care, after initial anxieties.

With Bluebird carers helping my father with his day-to-day needs, he was able to live his life in his own home and not need to go into a care home. From their first involvement in my father's care, it was obvious that Bluebird operates on an extensive, professional level. Carers were always friendly
and interested in his life and made time to converse with him. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Best decision we made to get Bluebird involved with supporting my 92yr old mum. She has vascular dementia and has found lockdown incredibly hard to understand. But her ‘Bluebird friends’ as she calls them, have been a reliable, reliant and very welcome part of her routine. Their weekly reports give
me confidence that mum is remembering to eat and drink, they record in sufficient detail that I can quickly pick up on issues which mum herself would never ‘trouble me with’. They have stepped in to meet all my requests and changes, members of the team have gone the extra mile to ensure mum is safe and happy. They are brilliant and I’d happily recommend them.

I have worked in the Health and Social Care sector for the last 12 years, working in a wide variety of roles, starting out my journey as a support worker working daily with customers and ensuring their individual needs are met. I went on to become a lead supervisor carrying out first initial meetings with customers and their risk assessments. While working with the customers. I furthered my knowledge and stepped into the role of Care Coordinator which was a role I felt very passionate and rewarding.


I started my Bluebird Care journey in November 2018 and I was made to feel very welcome within the team. From the minute I first walked through the door I knew this was a journey I wanted to experience and work within. The Directors Carolyn and Keith allowed me to have ideas and explore those ideas encouraging me to progress within my role of Care Coordinator to Lead Coordinator. Managing the coordinating team they have allowed me to grow and be confident within the field I work in making me feel confident within my job role giving me the feeling of being a part of the Bluebird Care Family. I have now been given the opportunity to further progress my career within the Bluebird Care journey and now have the job role of Care Coordinating Director.


Alongside this, I am currently completing the QCF level 5 in leadership and management. This will give me further knowledge and help me with managing the coordinating team within their job roles as well as overseeing the day to day needs of the business more confidently.


I thrive knowing each day I am ensuring the standard of care we deliver enables our customers to stay in their own homes and get the standard of professionalism they deserve. I feel so proud to be able to work within such a great team knowing the differences we make and look forward to progressing my career and helping others progress their career. I look forward to the future and being a part of such a fantastic team.

Heather Porter

Job Title: Managing Director (Registered)

I joined the Bluebird Care Newmarket and Fenland team, as a support worker, in March 2014. During my career with the company, I have progressed from Support Worker to Team Leader and have now been part of the Management Team for 3 years. I currently hold the position of Care Director and am involved with overseeing the day-to-day running of the care team.


My passion lies in making a difference in the way people perceive and receive home care and ensuring that their experience is a positive and happy one.


I am heavily involved with the Skills Assessment programme that we run for new members of the care team and I have completed my Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification which assists me in creating and delivering our Skills Assessment programme successfully to enable and support our care team to complete their roles when with our customers.


Alongside this, I am also completing my Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, which I feel will give me a wider knowledge of managing our senior team within their own individual roles and overseeing the day-to-day running of the business more confidently.


Throughout my career, at Bluebird Care, I have received constant and professional guidance from my Directors and have used this to further my confidence and competence.


I feel I have more to give and am always looking and working on ways to enhance my position within the company.


I will continue to work hard at ensuring we at Bluebird Care provide our customers with the best possible individual care experience possible and look forward to continuing this into the future.
