Home Instead (South Lanarkshire) provides a range of home services to clients so that they can live independently in their own homes.

It provides assurances to both clients and their loved ones that they will be cared for with dignity and respect.

Home care is available from a couple of hours a day, all the way up to 24 hours and is tailored to suit the needs of the individual.

My mother has carers in twice a week for two days at a time in order to provide a break for her partner. The ladies are very friendly and thoughtful. They are trying hard to build a solid and trusting relationship with my mother. They understand her condition and work with her to help her maintain independence,
control and dignity.

The team at Home Instead have been so helpful from the first phone call. Now that Dad is home, the lunchtime service they provide is outstanding, not only do they provide for my dad's needs, they seem to go above and beyond. I originally contacted Home Instead as we were struggling to get care four
times a day for Dad. We have since been offered a lunchtime service but we declined as Dad feels relaxed and at ease with the staff, and looks forward to hearing their news or even a chat about sports.

Homecare has provided carers to my mother for a few months now. Their support and care have provided my mother with company and support. All are excellent and very supportive and helpful. Whether it is helping with showering, cleaning the house, washing bedding and clothing, going shopping or just sitting
with a cup of tea and chatting they are all heroes.

This is a great and very supportive service. Staff are very pleasant, friendly and competent. I was attracted to the service because of its reliability and backup staff which means my mother would not be let down. Despite staff shortages, the office has always ensured my mother has a visit each Saturday
as she expects.

I have found all the staff at Home Instead to be very kind, courteous and extremely helpful. I always receive prompt replies to any of my queries and I feel they go the extra mile to aid and assist my family.
Using the app, it’s easy to check in and see how my Dad is doing on the day of the visit.
As
I live two hundred miles away, it’s very reassuring to know that he’s receiving such good care. My Dad enjoys the visits also.

Home Instead has supported my dad since he came out of the hospital in April. His health and general well-being have improved considerably with the help of his carers. I don't know what he would do without them. Thank you to Home Instead.

My mum continues to receive excellent service from very professional, competent and caring staff. Despite the pressures caused by staff absences, all visits to my mum have always be covered and any change of carer introduced to her and shadowed by familiar carers giving her reassurance and confidence.
Mum really appreciated the support of her carers and much enjoys their company too.
I would also like to commend all the other staff involved particularly the care manager, the office staff and the field supervisor, who are always so helpful, prompt and efficient in dealing with any questions and making this service so good.

My usual carer is excellent, however, the substitute carer I would only describe as adequate On the whole any additional carers are good.
My family have spoken to both carer supervisor and care manager in relation to substitute carer, however, it has not resulted in any improvement. Ths has been reported
at all reviews.
I would discontinue the service if my family agreed, however, they feel for my safety and well being I need someone with me when I attend to my personal hygiene due to mobility issues.

We know you like to have your main carer and out of the last 90 visits from 1st March to 31st May she has supported you for 45 of these visits. She only works 5 days a week so is unavailable 2 days a week and this combined with annual leave means she was not available for another 30 days over this period. So out of the 90 visits, there were 15 visits that she may have been able to support you but did not. Given you need support 7 days a week this means we have to use alternative staff other than your main carer.


We try our hardest to match up our Care Professionals with clients and provide as much continuity of staff as possible but sometimes don't always manage it and in the case of seven days a week care then it's impossible to have the same member of staff in all the time.
We will try our hardest to get the balance right going forward and have discussed with your family who want to keep you safe.

Having now had several weeks of service I am delighted with all aspects provided. From the initial contact, set up meetings with the care manager and meeting with the staff providing my care, everything has been dealt with in a courteous and respectful manner. I feel they have really listened to my
thoughts and needs and have gone out of their way. I feel they have really listened to my thoughts and needs and have gone out of their way to ensure it is just what I wanted and needed. The caregivers are such lovely people always on time, very high standard of care and support. I really enjoy my visits from the, from a company point of view too.
