I was struggling to care for my mother who was unable to walk or care for herself. The district nurse advised me to consider having carers. She organised for them to come morning and evening. They started immediately and since then life has been so much easier for me. They are cheerful, caring and very
kind and I can't thank them enough for looking after my mother.

Standard of care and support provided is exceptionally good. There is clear and prompt communication between family and carers which is helpful and means issues are addressed quickly. During the COVID-19 outbreak, carers have gone above and beyond to support mum and the family. I feel my mum is loved
and nurtured and that is amazing. Thank you so much.

I can verify to the handling and expertise of each carer that comes to care for and shower her. Nothing has been too much trouble for any of the carers and I will be contacting PCS to continue your care for my wife when she eventually comes home.

Caring compassionate carer. Full professionalism shown.
The office staff are always on hand for queries or concerns. Emails and calls returned when asked. Willing to help in time of emergency at short notice.
Adhering to stringent guidelines regarding PPE, M&H.
Regular training offered to carers
to cover very complex care needs of the client, suction, gastrostomy feeding etc
Would recommend PCS and have done so already.

At the moment I think you need to review mums condition, my mum has become very vulnerable, she cannot go out on her own, she is nearly stone deaf, she has macular of one eye. Her walking is very poor, she is a very proud woman and she does as much for her self. I have tried to make her life better.
I let her order meals that she likes, she has a place to go every week and really enjoys the company. She keeps on about the club behind her home and wishes that someone can arrange afternoon tea or coffee mornings, but no one seems interested. I have read in the newsletter about clubs within the community going to different clubhouses in the area, but it doesn't happen near her. I try and do as much as I can, before covid we went out shopping, went for coffee in our local cafes, but now she has seen no one except the carers who don't seem bothered with her. She has a cleaner and she has a lot of empathy with my mum, even the gardener is so helpful.

Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time out and posting a review. Since submitting this review, we have contacted yourself to review the options available in regards to your Mum's care as we are only funded to provide 2 x 15-minute visits per day, solely for the purpose of a medication prompt and welfare check. During such a short visit time, we always ensure we are providing Mum with everything she needs and that she is safe and well. We have since requested an increase in the care package from the council and also suggested to yourself the possibility of respite care until day centres can start to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic. As this was the first time we had received feedback from yourself that Mum may need extra support, we kindly request that should you have any concerns in the future, to contact the office immediately so our team can help resolve the issues or at least advise you accordingly as to what options are available.
Kindest regards, The PCS Team.

I am happy to review Personal Care Services as they have been my sole care provider now for six years. I am a spinal patient who needs a lot of care from professional carers. The manager has helped very much in providing me with carers who having been trained in my needs are very proficient in their
care. They not only help with my personal care but also help with my physio which helps me immensely as this is my only way of having relief throughout the day which enables me to carry out the most simplest of tasks.
The carers I have are reliable and always go above and beyond to help me live my life a little easier. They also help me with my cleaning tasks without them I would struggle to manage which for me would be extremely frustrating. They have taken me out and helped me feel 'normal' which anyone in a similar position would completely understand is very important.
I am happy very to review Personal Care Services, also to thank the manager for all her input in my care needs.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
