Just Ask was founded in 2012 with a goal to provide personal care and home help services to the elderly in the Skipton area. It is now recognised locally as a company that delivers the highest levels of home care services in the area.

Just Ask's reputation has grown because of their very high standards, consistency, compassion and eagerness of all their staff to provide 'a level of service that they would be happy for a member of their family to receive' and this is now the company's mission statement.

Just Ask's ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude means that every one of their home care users receive a level of service that generally surpasses their expectations.

Just Ask's service user's individual needs are very important to them and they want to help their service users to live safely and comfortably in their own homes for as long as it is safe to do so. Whether their need is assistance to get up, wash and dress every day or assistance with a shower several times a week, Just Ask are happy to help. They can also prepare a freshly cooked meal, assist with medication and be there at the end of the day to assist with getting ready for bed.

Just Ask recognises that choosing a home care provider is a very important decision. They also understand that everyone is an individual and has different needs. Just Ask listens to those needs and work hard to put together a detailed support plan that understands and meets the individual needs of its service users.

From my initial contact at the office, I would without hesitation recommend Just Ask. All the carers I met were thoughtful, caring, professional, totally dedicated to their profession. Without a doubt, they are outstanding.

All the staff at Just Ask are absolutely wonderful. We cannot praise them enough for the care they give to our dad. They go above and beyond in everything they do. They are a lifeline for us as a family and enable our dad to live independently. They are all extremely hard-working and thoughtful.

As a family, we have been very impressed with and grateful for all the support my Mum has received in her home and how much this enabled her to stay at home for such a long time when her health was declining. The carers were all very compassionate and efficient and made a real effort to get to know
Mum and care and support her in the best ways for her. It was always very reassuring for us a family who live and work a distance from our Mum to know we had Just Ask staff to rely on and it was an exceptional level of support and contact we were given at times when we had concerns, especially at night calls. Without hesitation, we would recommend this service and would add that it was always a positive and helpful experience contacting the office and speaking to the Management of the service.

My husband has Parkinson's Disease and we are both in our 80's. I could not cope without the help of 'Just Ask'. We have a carer who comes every weekday morning to get my husband out of bed, to toilet, then shower etc and dress. We have a different carer at weekends. What I really appreciate is that
most of the time we have the same carers so lots of people aren't coming into our home, especially during this Covid pandemic and they wore PPE before it was compulsory. All the carers we have come into contact with are dedicated to their work. They will do anything - one has to 'Just Ask'. They do the job in hand professionally with patience and kindness. The management team work with their carers and all are very understanding and concerned with how to make life easier for my husband and me. The service they give is outstanding.

I have found the care services to be reliable, compassionate and capable across a broad range of needs. My mum has had a few health and domestic crises and Just Ask have been able to sort out some tricky situations. This has been very important for me especially as my own health has not been good over
this last year. The best reference we can give as a family is my mum's acceptance and genuine appreciation of the visits. As a proud and independent lady, she has found it difficult to adjust to the necessity of ongoing care but now trusts and values the visits, and has enjoyed the social interactions with the different carers. In fact despite her increased physical problems, Mum is more cheerful and sociable now than she was before her care package.

As wife and carer, I really appreciate the exceptional care we have been receiving from the Just Ask team over the past year - whether it be from the efficiency of management and administration or the two or three times daily visits from the carers.
It has made such a difference in the last few challenging
months due to both the covid situation and my husband's deteriorating health to have a regular team of carers with whom we feel comfortable and confident in their ability to do the job with compassion, empathy and professionalism.
We appreciate the extra mile they have often gone beyond the normal care plan e.g. collecting medication from the pharmacy and coming to the house in quick response to an emergency. I am also appreciative of visits to me when my husband has been admitted to hospital.
Many thanks go to the team for all the kindness, consideration, humour and hard work in helping to make life that is often difficult, that much easier.

Just Ask have looked after Mum for the last 6 months and I can’t speak highly enough of them. The care and support provided has been exceptional and so much more than we could have hoped for. The carers are kind, supportive, professional and treated Mum with the utmost dignity and respect. Nothing was
too much trouble, and their visits were tailored as Mum's needs changed, and through the challenges of lockdown. They have happily run errands, liaised with doctors, overseen medication - in addition to daily personal care. We are so grateful for all that Just Ask have done for Mum and Dad, and the friendships that have been made along the way, would not hesitate to recommend their services.

The team at Just Ask are fabulous and they help my dad with everything he currently needs. I know I can call them any time if I have any worries. I live a few hours away and I know they can help my dad with day to day activities and errands as well as making sure he takes his medications. They are
very professional and caring and my dad is really happy with everything they do.

The Just Ask ladies attended and cared for my mum during the latter stages of her life when she was suffering from Dementia. The ladies treated her with great care, consideration and dignity. They were a godsend for my dad as he found it increasingly difficult to care for my mum. I am sure the love
and care they showed was felt by my mum in her latter stages of life.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Just Ask to anyone who required their help.

All the staff at Just Ask have been excellent at caring for my dad (and mum when she was alive) which is so important to me as I live in Canada. The carers' support during lock-down was exemplary, providing him physical and emotional support and basically friendship. When I was concerned when he got
very sick they contacted his doctor without delay and upping his care was done efficiently and quickly. I can only say good things about this service and would recommend them to anyone requiring in-home care.

We engaged Just Ask, at a time of crisis, less than 2 months ago to care for my elderly mother, who suffers from dementia. At the time we wanted a company with local roots and a commitment to the people of Skipton. Just Ask ticks those boxes. Carers come in A.M and P.M to bathe, dress and undress Mum.
My father and I are delighted with the quality of care that Mum receives from the carers, all of whom Mum likes and trusts. They have been excellent in providing a bit of TLC for my father too.
Most important to mention is how responsive we have found Just Ask to be. Mum's needs are changing almost on a daily basis. As each new need has arisen, Just Ask have been supportive and conscientious. The operations manager has been fantastic in maintaining a hands-on approach and attention to detail, frequently attending, along with the usual carers to check that Just Ask is meeting Mum and Dad's needs. I remain confident that as Mum's health deteriorates that Just Ask will continue to meet her needs.

The carers are all really friendly and approachable. My mother was not the easiest of characters but they were very patient and caring. As her caring needs changed I was well supported with additional slots fitted in, to keep my mother longer in her own flat.

Positive items: The people from Just Ask whom we have met have all been lovely people with a caring and helpful manner. They aim to be flexible and cater for most needs. They are reliable.


Room for improvement: I would suggest they need some training in the area of dementia - and my sister and

I get frustrated at difficulties in contacting them or getting a reply to emails.
