Lapis Care has now been operational since 2012. They are proud that they remain owned and run by registered nurses. This provides extra knowledge and experience that they are able to cascade to their team members, thus in turn benefiting their clients.

Lapis Care believes that 'life is for living' and that there are very few problems that are unsolvable, and their combined experience means that they've seen it all!

Their philosophy is 'Cared for Staff = Cared for Clients', which means all their team feel valued and supported when carrying out their role. There are no staff on zero-hours or paid per call contracts so they have a very happy and settled team, just what you want for your family.

Lapis Care has been looking after Mum in her home for three months following a five-month period in hospital and a short time in a care home. Mum, at 93, has mobility and medical challenges but wanted to be in her home. I am absolutely blown away by the professionalism of all the staff looking after
Mum and the management team. The wealth of experience in all areas of care is so reassuring to her and the family. The whole team at Lapis are caring, kind, respectful and compassionate and all have a great sense of humour and make Mum feel happy and relaxed. They never rush Mum, are thorough with all her care needs and go that extra mile to go above and beyond to ensure Mum is comfortable and her house is left clean and tidy after each call. We never imagined having a care company looking after Mum would feel like family, Lapis are that extended family who we completely trust to keep Mum safe and professionally cared for. The app is amazing, keeping the family informed about times and care given.

I urgently needed some support for my Grandfather who was at the end of his life and we suddenly found ourselves not coping with all of it as a family. As a very experienced cancer nurse in the NHS, it fell to me to try and source care. I spent a lot of time on the phone trying to arrange this personal
care alongside medical end of life care at extremely short notice. The management team at Lapis Care went completely out of their way to support us as a family and provided care at the drop of a hat. The care they provided was exemplary and ensured that my grandfather had a very dignified last few hours. It will never be forgotten and was so hugely appreciated by the whole family.

I found the girls very good, helpful and very friendly. I was sorry that I couldn't continue with them as I wanted more care, and Lapis couldn't give me more.

We've been delighted with the care we receive every day. Our carers are sympathetic, friendly and thorough. If for any reason they can't be on time, they tell us by text/telephone in advance.


As well as the practical side of things, we appreciate the chatty supportive way they keep our spirits up.

My mother needed extra TLC as an Alzheimer’s sufferer but still living independently. The lockdowns had left her feeling isolated and lonely and she was struggling to socialise again where she lives. Lapis Care organised 2 weekly visits at very short notice and I was so impressed with their professionalism,
expertise in this field and most importantly, their compassion, kindness and understanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble and there was great feedback and helpful insightful notes and observations. Highly, highly recommended - I can’t thank them enough for their help at this time. My husband has been cared for by Lapis for the last 6 months and we are very pleased with the care that the team provide. No problem is too big for them to deal with. They carry out their duties to a high standard and treat us both with kindness and respect. Today we needed unexpected help due to my
husband having a fall, and they immediately took charge, called an ambulance and stayed with us until it had arrived. This was beyond their normal duties. As I had my own hospital appointment to keep, one of the management team came and stayed with my husband until the ambulance had left to take him to hospital. They are so very kind to all of the family and they care about my welfare as well as my husband's.

Lapis has been caring for our elderly mother for several months. I can warmly and sincerely recommend them. At our first meeting, the staff member took care to speak mainly to Mum, although Mum is hard of hearing. She also asked how Mum likes her cup of tea made. Paperwork was short and sensible and
not pushed on us. That kindness, respect and efficient attention to Mum’s needs has characterised Lapis Care’s approach, and we’ve noticed it in the little things, like making sure Mum always has a hanky in her cardigan pocket, through to the big things - being absolutely on top of health and safety needs, fitting the team to the individual wherever possible, and prompt and straightforward communication through the challenges of Covid. Mum is a very private person and had for years resisted care in her home, but Lapis have won her trust and affection, and ours, and been a real blessing to us all at a potentially difficult time. They really are gifted at what they do.

The team at Lapis have transformed my mother's life and her opinion of care providers. She was very nervous about people coming into her house and helping her and refused until there was very little alternative. Now she loves to see the team who are extremely kind, professional and caring. Lapis try
to field the same small team as much as possible so that Mum can build a relationship with them and she very much enjoys seeing them.
They carry out tasks with great efficiency and, most importantly, with kindness and patience. They are the right people in the right job. They have turned a situation that felt stressful and frightening, into a positive experience. Mum is more relaxed and safer. One member of staff in the background and the staff team in the foreground have been very helpful and flexible across a few challenges, which life and COVID have thrown up, and we are very grateful to them. I must put in a word about the joy for Mum, of being brought a cup of tea in bed in the morning.

The carers have been wonderful during a very stressful time for our family and with lockdown regulations, the senior care manager, in particular, has been a marvel. Always positive and with great care and kindness, she has helped my father make amazing progress in mobilising following his stroke that

Rarely have I come across such a caring organisation. They truly go above and beyond and I mean this most sincerely. Without their support, my father would not be able to stay independent and remain in his own home. I am always one hundred percent confident that my father is being well looked after

Many years ago a carer friend of mine said 'Unless you stand close enough you cannot help bear the burden'.
Well, that’s just what Lapis Care does. They take on the entire problem.
Medical needs are dealt with professionally and compassionately. But they never stop there; the whole person and even
the household are taken into consideration with matters eased all round.
This degree of care comes from dedicated staff who devote their energy above and beyond just physical difficulties.
I count myself blessed to be in receipt of such loving, holistic care.

My mother has been looked after by Lapis Care for two years. After leaving rehab it was decided home life with support would be best for her. Throughout this time the carers' team have been wonderful. She now needs total support yet is able to stay in her own home because of the quality of care being
given. Despite the extra pressure of the Covid situation, the team have continued to offer friendly, efficient, professional and compassionate care. My mother says she looks forward to the smiles and company when her carers come and knows how extremely fortunate she is to be so well looked after.

I live 80 miles from my mum. She lives alone and has Alzheimer's. It was essential that I found an agency who were reliable and dependable.
Lapis Care are such an agency. They have provided care for my Mum for 20 months. It started as supported shopping trips, progressed to medication administration
and personal care and only ended with Mum's transition to a residential setting. At all times, they have been courteous, knowledgeable, caring and professional. They have been excellent at communicating Mum's needs and the app has enabled us to stay very connected with Mum's day to day activities and the progression of her disease.
There were times when we needed not just care, but advocacy and support. Lapis Care were there for us.

I started working with Lapis when they were coming up to their 3 year anniversary. I have since seen the company and passion grow over the years and I'm proud to have been a part of it all!
The team are fantastic and work so hard to achieve the highest standards.
Working along side them, our office team are here to make sure everything is run smoothly.
I ensure that the staff are well looked after from their very first day and help them find their place within Lapis. I also help with community engagement and ensuring people know who we are and how to find us!

One of the things that stands out at Lapis is the support given by the Management Team. Graeme is a qualified Accountant and has always supported Lapis behind the scenes however, due to pressures during the COVID outbreak, he has been delivering Care ever since. He enjoys contact with both clients and staff and is always on hand to step in to support staff when they stay with clients if issues need resolving. He has also lifted spirits by taking Alfie the Cockerpoo on occasional visits!
