I write my review of Bluebird Care with much gratitude. Our first encounter was to assess the needs of my husband. He was now, in palliative care. The care agenda was tailored to his needs in detail. I always had contact numbers if I needed that extra bit of help which was invaluable, especially towards
the final few days.
They have a team of staff who are of varying ages, and all of them showed a very high level of dignity and professionalism. They not only attended the needs of my husband but showed concern for my wellbeing with much empathy and compassion, going the extra mile to make sure I had a cup of tea. It was comforting to see how well and quickly they built a trusting relationship with him, and how well they took care of him.
They would review the schedule with me regularly and staff were always smart, clean and punctual. I was instantly informed of any issues that needed medical attention.
I can't praise the carers of Bluebird Care enough they were not only carer's to my husband but companions to myself and I would highly recommend the services that they provide.

Bluebird Care staff have shown a high level of professionalism and care in both the administrative side of the company as well as the carers themselves. The care plan has been updated regularly when requested, due to my mother's changing needs. They have calculated this well and the carers are aware
of changes. Any concerns are raised with the office team and passed on to me. They are also willing to be flexible to my flexible working situation. Overall high standard of care and efficient office.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.485) out of 10 for Bluebird Care Newport is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.685 for Bluebird Care Newport is calculated as follows: ( (43 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 54 Ratings = 4.685

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Bluebird Care Newport is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
