The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.938 for Helping Hands Home Care (Sheffield) is calculated as follows: ( (45 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.938
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)
The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Helping Hands Home Care (Sheffield) is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Branch Manager
Joined: 2016
About me
Hello, I’m Jess, your Hourly Branch Manager in Sheffield. It is my responsibility to manage all aspects of the branch and I aim to provide only the best possible service to all our customers and work with them, their families and other professionals to develop person-centred support plans. I will guide and support an excellent care team to deliver the highest standard of care possible to all customers of Helping Hands.
Experience
I have had a very enjoyable 10 years of working in the care industry. I started out as a support worker, and over the years I have gradually progressed up the career ladder to the position I hold today. I am currently working through a level 5 diploma higher apprenticeship in leadership and management in health and social care (adults setting).
Why I chose Helping Hands
I decided to join Helping Hands as from what I could see, it shared my own values and I liked the company ethos.
I currently have a very small team of carers, which I hope to expand successfully to match the growth of the branch. I like to work very closely with all members of my team, offering them support day or night. Having experience of working as a carer, I feel that carers are very under-valued and their hard work often goes unrecognised. I fully understand how demanding and difficult the role of a carer can be and I want my team to feel valued and to know that their efforts and commitment are appreciated. I aim to provide an open door policy in my branch, so my team feel comfortable and confident to come in and address any issues they may have. I also encourage suggestions, ideas and feedback from my team so we can continue to improve, whether it be the customer, carer or general public that benefit.
