District Home Care are providing my elderly mum with the care and support I had hoped they would. The care team are professional, reliable, caring and enthusiastic and have built a rapport with my mum providing personal hygiene and giving the required tablets. I am very pleased with the services they
provide.

This is a small agency run by an excellent team, which offers a very personalised service to the clients, and a complete carer management service, ie, they organise and manage the carers on a day-to-day basis, making sure that all eventualities are covered, carer illness, carer holidays, due diligence,
groceries, prescription/tablet collection, and monitoring, doctors visits, etc. I have been very impressed by their attention to detail, and of the positive attitude throughout this organisation, to provide quick, polite, helpful and kind customer service. The quality of the carers has also been excellent, caring, and offering "real tender loving care" to my mother. One additional unique selling point is the smartphone software - there the daily routines are noted, fluid intake, social visits, meals, tablets, body washes, oral care, diet, and bowel movements - essential things for ensuring attention to detail, and due diligence. It's a great relief to have them onboard!

I discovered this company by chance when trawling the internet for care providers within the Woking area. I am very, very pleased with their service for my brother who has the awkward combination of both dementia and a permanent catheter. Their staff and management team have provided a comprehensive
and professional package of care for him which has gone beyond my expectations. They are easy to approach and proactive in consultation and together we are fine-tuning the spectrum of needs particular to my brother's case. They have consulted doctors, pharmacies, district nurses and medical suppliers on our behalf saving us a quite considerable amount of time and stress. We feel and are very lucky to have found them.

I write on behalf of myself (son) and the partner to the client, Mar to Aug 2022. Dad needed care but was consistent in determination to avoid it, rejecting help on many occasions; it is at this time that the carers, after putting Dad first turned to support the partner by assuming duties such as washing
up, laundry, watering the garden etc; always checking in on Dad. This support is incredibly helpful. In our case, Dad eventually had to submit to some care then full care, and at this time we found out just how caring and skilled the staff are, and just how well they are managed. As a family, you must play your part and be willing to accept some slight changes in the plan however you will be notified of the roster and can be assured that the business owner, manager, and team are doing their very best to meet your needs against the situations they have to deal with aside from you. As a family, we relied on District home care, they delivered for us, cared about us as we did them.

Dad is 87 and was finding showering himself an issue and my brother found District Home Care online. A local company staffed by a very caring team who really take time and care for Dad. It is a difficult decision inviting strangers into your parents’ home and Dad wasn’t happy to give up this bit of
his independence but understood he needed some extra help, whilst still maintaining his overall independence. The team changes weekly, but he has the staff over a given period all delivering the same level of care and helping Dad retain his dignity and bring a bit more quality to his life. It is also peace of mind to my brother and myself as they have alerted us to some potential health issues and contacted his doctor with his permission, whilst keeping us in the loop also. Nice local firm staffed by a very caring team.

Mum has suffered a series of health issues this year. District Home Care have been incredible in supporting and caring for us all with a variety of cheerful friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Keeping in touch on a daily basis is very reassuring and using their contacts and experience
to deal with the hospital when we couldn't get any information was such a relief.
Keeping mum in her own home is a major task now but they have made it possible and given her some dignity back which is priceless.
The team has even texted on their days off to check how mum is - that's going above and beyond
Mum sees them as friends and that says it all.
It is easy to read reviews and assume they are fake but this is truly genuine heartfelt thanks to a team that deserves every word.

District Homecare came highly recommended, and have been looking after my uncle for 9 months now. I don’t live nearby, and it gives me great peace of mind to know he is in safe hands and that the carers will deal with any situations that may arise. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team, who
are friendly and caring, and nothing is too much trouble. My uncle is much happier and settled since they took over his care, which in turn has enabled him to safely stay in his own home. I can’t recommend them highly enough; they’re a great team.

When my recently widowed Mum became unable to be at home without care and help District Home Care was recommended to me and before long had become an integral part of Mum's life. Mum so looked forward to the carers' visits. Not just for their practical help with tasks that had become difficult for her
but for their company, conversation and kindness.
As Mum's only child and living far away it was a great comfort to me knowing District Home Care was looking after her and giving her the support she needed in order to remain in her own home.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend District Home Care. They were wonderful.

The team at District Home Care were amazingly supportive from our first contact right through until my father had to move into a care home. They were always respectful and very responsive, flexing the support for my father according to his needs. Being such a small staff team, we got to know all the
carers and they got to know Dad. They were always on time and on the very rare occasions when they were going to be late, they always called to let us know. I can’t recommend District Home Care highly enough, they were absolutely fantastic. Thank you.

I cannot recommend District Home Care highly enough. From the moment I made the first call they were sympathetic, supportive and understanding of our circumstance. We had been let down by our previous agency and they jumped straight up and helped. On the initial visit, the team spoke directly to my
dad, treating him as a person and not as a patient. It wasn’t just about his physical needs but also about him as a person, what he was like, interests, likes, dislikes and what was important to him.
Each team member had the same attitude, always friendly, polite and caring, ready to look after his needs. They made my dad feel comfortable with all that was going on. They also took the time to check in with us as a family, making sure that we were okay and offering support to us too.
Basically, they were amazing and would definitely recommend. Big thanks to all the team.

District Home Care has a very flexible approach to scheduling and rostering of staff which achieves high standards even in those difficult moments when staffing is at its most pressurised.
The management seems always willing to go the extra mile to achieve high-quality care even in the most difficult
circumstances.
What stands out is the carefulness of the care staff which enables them to do the best for the customer.
I would highly recommend District Home Care.

District Home Care provides a brilliant service. Our mum has dementia and has been receiving home visits from District Home Care for medication and welfare checks and companionship since October 2021. I cannot praise the manager and the whole care team enough. They have been so kind and compassionate
and flexible. Mum sometimes disappears (we have trackers on her) and they do an amazing job of helping us to keep her safe. They go above and beyond the call of duty to offer practical advice to help us care for Mum in the best way we can. Thank you so much.

We needed some extra help for Mum whilst we went away. Mum was not keen! However, a staff member visited and put her at ease immediately.
Everyone we spoke to from the initial call onwards was professional, cheerful and helpful.
I felt completely happy to go away knowing someone was checking on Mum
and offering help when needed.
Mum can be difficult and nothing was too much trouble.
We will be using District Home Care whenever we go away again and when Mum needs more care they will be our first choice of regular carers.
The communication from them was excellent.
We are very pleased with the service.

The company is brilliant.
They provided great advice on setting up for granny to come out of the hospital, enabling a really smooth transition. They've been really flexible, and the carers are lovely, gently encouraging and kind.

My mum's mobility deteriorated fairly quickly just before last Christmas. The District Home Care team quickly put together a care plan proposal and were soon able to start helping her with meals and personal care four times a day. They never failed to turn up and stayed longer to deal with a couple
of emergencies as required. As Mum's mobility decreased further, and before she eventually needed to go into a care home, following two hospital admissions, the District Home Care helpers were able to deal with the hospital bed and hoist that were eventually required. Mum really enjoyed having chats with the friendly staff.

The Manager and team have been supporting my parents for a good few years now and have never let us down. Flexible, good-humoured (even with last-minute requests!) they have on many an occasion turned a challenging situation into a straightforward one. Always easy to deal with, they are experienced
and among other things an invaluable source of advice. Recommended without hesitation.

District Home Care have been looking after my father for about eighteen months now. I would be happy to recommend their services to anyone, they are all very kind, patient and extremely helpful. My parents want to remain in their own home which is made possible because of their assistance. The last
year has been difficult with Covid-19 but having the carers going in daily has given me great peace of mind. All of the care assistants are cheerful and kind. I know my parents look forward to their company as well as their help. The management team have been a great support to me as well as my parents, they help with so many things. Having a lovely local firm has been a really good choice for us, my parents know all of the carers by name and this continuity helps to keep them settled. Our family are very pleased with the service we get from District Home Care and we are very grateful to all of the staff.

Staff frequently go above and beyond their care of my father, one of many examples is; a member of staff not on duty noticed his lights were on late in the evening, which was unusual, they called the office and offered to make sure he was ok. He had been poorly with a tummy upset. The member of staff
helped him to the bath and cleaned him up and then went back again at about 11.30 pm to see if he was ok and assisted him once more after another bout of sickness.
The staff in the office have arranged hospital transport, contacted his GP to arrange a visit/medication as and when necessary. They now do his shopping (I was shielding and unable to do it) for me.
They take the worry away from being his ‘carer’ and allow me to be his daughter.

District Home Care was outstanding in their all-round care and support, not only for the patient but for the whole family. Safety was a high priority. They never embarked on anything (eg the shower) before everything was put in place, poles, rails, stems, to ensure that the area was safe. The carers
were always very pleasant, cheerful and helpful, treating my husband with great dignity. Nothing was too much trouble, I always felt that my husband got a boost from their visits. The management of District Home Care runs a very good agency, with care and compassion being their top priorities. They are very flexible in managing any changes in circumstances, with the patients needs always at the forefront. They were worth every penny. I have no complaints, in fact, the opposite. One feels that the office staff and carers are a 'happy family' and prepared to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic of high morals and devotion.

The carers were respectful to my elderly aunt, she was shown empathy and sympathy for the pain she was suffering. The carers were reliable, patient, observant to her needs and very caring. My aunt has an excellent relationship with all the carers who visited her at home. Communication was excellent
between myself and the manager. I would not hesitate to recommend this care agency.
