  • Calls greater than 60 minutes are charged pro rata the 60 minute rate.


    Please note no additional fees to the charges above. These rates include assessments, care plans, reviews, travel and mileage for the carers etc. We will review medication but any tasks such as ordering medication will need to be covered in the visit time or charged additionally.

ESD Homecare are consistently reliable, efficient and friendly. I am very pleased with their care of my husband who has Parkinson's Disease and PSP and needs hoisting and fully body care. He too is happy to see them. There seems to be a high level of training and confidence in all the carers. They even
managed to provide a brilliant service during a prolonged period of snow and ice when we had local roads closed. Office staff communicate well and frequently.

Generally mum and I are very pleased with the care she receives. The girls mostly are very polite and friendly, and occasional one is a bit abrupt and not chatty. However they are all professional and carry out all the jobs efficiently. The office is also very professional. My only issue is for mum
who is starting to have memory issues, is the number of different people who attend some 15 different girls throughout the month some only once or twice which mum struggles with recalling if they have been before. (I appreciate holiday and sick leave cover can make this difficult for the office). As I said once here the girls are all very good and happy to help with anything needed. Mum always thanks them as they leave as she likes to see them. Thank you

We have had care provided by EDS for over 2 years, firstly with my father, and then with my mother. Their experiences of care from EDS were very good - and the care package was adapted and flexible when it needed to be, as my parent's needs fluctuated. The office staff were supportive and clearly understood
the complex challenges of care that were provided by the individual carers themselves.
The care provided to my parents enabled them to live this final stage of their life journey on their own terms and provided me with assurance and peace of mind.

I had EDS Homecare after my back operation for myself and my husband who has dementia. All the carers were very personable, capable and open to providing what I needed. Help was provided in the garden, housework, companionship, shopping etc and my husband particularly enjoyed going for a walk in the

Mum has been having 3 visits a day for almost a year now. Initially, she didn't see the need for this support and was worried about losing her independence. The staff from EDS have always adopted a friendly, respectful approach, not taking over but supporting as needed at the time, offering companionship
and a chat as well as doing any tasks required. Their support has been subtle.

Both my godmother and myself are very satisfied with the overall service provided. They all treat her with dignity/respect and kindness. I'm very grateful for the care provided when she has been taken ill and for keeping me in the loop at the same time. My dealings with the office are professional and
courteous. The only niggle would be the lack of continuity with carers, as they seem to change around quite a bit, but I do appreciate that scheduling must be very difficult at times. As for value for money, it's a bit difficult to rate as I have nothing to compare it to.

Job Title: Managing Director (Registered General Nurse)

Kate is EDS Homecare's Managing Director and a Registered General Nurse, who gained significant experience in acute medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary.


She holds a number of health and social care-specific qualifications, including NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management, Level 3 Mental Capacity Award and Train the Trainer for First Aid.


Kate holds the Registered Managers Award with Care Quality Commission.


Gosia

Gosia Wisniewska

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2014

Gosia has been a valued member of EDS for the last 10 years. Her journey with EDS has taken her from care staff to upper-level management and she has completed her Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care Management.
As of the 3rd of January 2025, Gosia has completed the registration process with CQC to become EDS Homecare's Registered Manager. Her experience on the ground as a carer for so many years is invaluable to the well-led, safe, and effective running of the service.
