    *Please note, for Live-In Care services, the carer requires a 3-hour break in the day. Times and splits can be decided to suit the preferences of both the carer and client.

    Hourly Rate - £20.12
    Travel per visit from £3.50 - £6.80


  • Calls greater than 60 minutes are charged pro rata the 60 minute rate.


    Please note no additional fees to the charges above. These rates include assessments, care plans, reviews, travel and mileage for the carers etc. We will review medication but any tasks such as ordering medication will need to be covered in the visit time or charged additionally.

On the whole, I am very happy with my carers. Naturally, they all differ and I warm towards some more than others. Friendship and personal connection are such a valuable aspect of everyone's day to day; it is really lovely to hear you receive that from the carers. We do ensure we keep continuity with our carers - and clients, however, we do appreciate that any changes (such as holiday cover, or even working-pattern change from a staff member) can feel significant. We always do everything we can in the instances which we as the management team, can control. We conduct frequent satisfaction calls, and 'friendship' visits from the management team each month to ensure we receive people's feedback, views and suggestions on the service as our main goal has always been, and will continue to always be, the best outcomes possible for you, the person receiving the service. My sister and I are both happy with the service that the carers provide for mum. I know that she likes one particular lady and likes to chat with her. It's good to know that the care you provide to mum can be increased when we need it to be, and you are always flexible, really approachable, friendly
and professional and it's good to know we can speak to you easily if there are any issues or questions. It's also good to access the portal to see that mum has had her care and who the carers were.

Overall I am reasonably satisfied some of the care people are much better than others. I would just like to add regarding the scheduling of the carers they are continually being swished about from day to day.

Emergency cover and staff sickness can make it difficult to ensure the same carer attends each visit 7 days a week, but we do try to keep this to the same 3-4 staff members weekly. This is definitely something that can be ironed out with communication to us, and we would be more than happy to have a look at this when brought up. Thank you again!

I am pleased with my care by the carers. We get on well together, chat and laugh., Sometimes they are the only people I speak to in a day as I live alone. The treatment I need is done properly as well as the jobs needed to be done.

EDS provide home care, shopping, and companionship services for my sister. They are very reliable and the carers I have met have been very friendly. The service has been to a very good standard. And little things like sharing photos and vidios of my sister's trips have been great. While there have been
a few growing pains, the staff have been extremely responsive in helping sort these out and we work well together.

My sister and I have always found EDS Homecare to be a very caring, reliable and honest provider of home care services for my elderly mother. They have always been there when we have needed to contact them sometimes urgently and have always acted professionally and with care and the utmost discretion.
The customer portal is also very useful for us to check on Mum's visit and provides us with the reassurance that she is receiving the care she requires. They have also been very flexible when amending time slots when requested and also proactive when informing us about a situation Mum is in, this may be just for info or a more major issue i.e. when she may have fallen. We are very happy with the service provided and would recommend them to anyone looking for care services.

The home care services supplied by EDS for my mother have been excellent. Their carers have always attended to my mother's daily needs and if any issues have arisen during a visit I have been contacted and appropriately informed. The EDS Home Care Team are excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Very good timekeeping, always do whatever is in the care plan and often go above and beyond to help. There is no comparison to some of the other companies we have dealt with. Definitely number 1 on my list.

My step-granddad is a happier person now that he is in receipt of care from trained personnel. He tells me how much he likes the carers who visit him and enjoys chatting with them. He was very against having any kind of professional help, but from the first visit, his reactions have been very positive.
From
my point of view, EDS have been very thorough in their care of my relative and their attention to detail is great. They are in regular contact with me and advise as soon as anything is noticed or needs action from me. They respond very quickly to my emails/phone calls and are happy to change/add to my granddad's daily care plan.

EDS are caring, professional, responsive and flexible. Our dad has vascular dementia and has always been independent, so the move from PA to a complete care package with EDS was a big step for us all.
Dad’s happy, has company for trips out for a meal, pint or staying in and watching the TV. His house
is clean, and clothes laundered, and takes better self-care, all thanks to EDS.
My brother and I are very happy that Dad still has a high degree of independence with the assurance that many risks are mitigated.

Kate is EDS Homecare's Managing Director and a Registered General Nurse, who gained significant experience in acute medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary.


She holds a number of health and social care-specific qualifications, including NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management, Level 3 Mental Capacity Award and Train the Trainer for First Aid.


Kate holds the Registered Managers Award with Care Quality Commission.


Gosia

Gosia Wisniewska

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2014

Gosia has been a valued member of EDS for the last 10 years. Her journey with EDS has taken her from care staff to upper-level management and she has completed her Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care Management.
As of the 3rd of January 2025, Gosia has completed the registration process with CQC to become EDS Homecare's Registered Manager. Her experience on the ground as a carer for so many years is invaluable to the well-led, safe, and effective running of the service.

Joined: 2014

Josie has been working at EDS Homecare since 2014.


Starting her career as a carer Josie has undertaken several qualifications including a NVQ level 3 in Adult Care and a teaching qualification.


She has been a long standing member of the out of hours emergency team and the EDS Homecare training team, specialising in moving and handling training.


Her vast experience, skills, knowledge and dedication has meant that Josie has progressed at EDS to one of the most senior positions in the company.

Kirsty has been working with EDS Homecare since 2017.

Morgan started at EDS as a hands-on carer; she soon took on the responsibility of the emergency out-of-hours service and her ability to manage complex situations, effectively assess people's needs and responsively devise action quickly became evident.
