    *Please note, for Live-In Care services, the carer requires a 3-hour break in the day. Times and splits can be decided to suit the preferences of both the carer and client.

    Hourly Rate - £20.12
    Travel per visit from £3.50 - £6.80


  • Calls greater than 60 minutes are charged pro rata the 60 minute rate.


    Please note no additional fees to the charges above. These rates include assessments, care plans, reviews, travel and mileage for the carers etc. We will review medication but any tasks such as ordering medication will need to be covered in the visit time or charged additionally.

Overall my mum received a good service from EDS. She had a good relationship with a few of the regular carers but latterly they were moved to different areas so continuity was absent. I think it is important where possible for people to have the same regular carers, who know the client's needs, without
having to constantly look in the book. Obviously, there were a few niggles here and there but overall the service was good.

I have had a very good experience with your lovely carers. They are all pleasant and good at their job with very few exceptions eg breakfast set out with no spoon and other trivial misses. Just now and again I am left alone in the shower whilst the kitchen jobs are done, but I never have to get out
of the shower on my own. So thanks for running a very good service.

Always within designated time - generally same carer for at least 4 days a week - consistency helps the situation - service provided is generally very good, the carer (s) are always helpful.

EDS Homecare looked after my dad right up until he went into a care home, all the carers were very kind and supportive. It was very reassuring to know he was being so well looked after. Dad would often be quite stubborn but the carers always encourage him. If there was an issue we would be contacted
straight away.

My brother and parents cannot speak highly enough of the support and care our mum received following her broken hip. From their initial communication, we received professional compassionate service. We are very happy with the care provided by the carers at EDS Homecare. They support my father and are always caring, compassionate and professional when undertaking all the tasks they are required to do. All the carers are pleasant polite and always smiling which helps to cheer my father up at each
visit. We can't thank them enough for all the help they provide every day and for the difference they make to my father's daily life.

My father died unexpectedly of a stroke and it became clear that he had been ‘covering’ for mum’s early signs of dementia. EDS responded quickly to our enquiry, made an assessment and scheduled visits immediately. In the initial stages, mum was reluctant to accept help but the carers established a great
relationship and it helped that the same people were there on a regular basis. We had a weekly timetable of visits - it was good to know who was going in and when so we gradually got to know the staff. It was particularly nice that carers took the time simply to chat to mum rather than rushing in and out. We had regular feedback on how things were going and if they’d spotted problems.


As mum’s needs increased additional visits were scheduled in flexibly. EDS made a huge difference to mum’s quality of life over about 2 years. She’s now in residential care but without EDS that would have happened at least a year earlier. I would thoroughly recommend EDS.

Kate is EDS Homecare's Managing Director and a Registered General Nurse, who gained significant experience in acute medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary.


She holds a number of health and social care-specific qualifications, including NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management, Level 3 Mental Capacity Award and Train the Trainer for First Aid.


Kate holds the Registered Managers Award with Care Quality Commission.


Gosia

Gosia Wisniewska

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2014

Gosia has been a valued member of EDS for the last 10 years. Her journey with EDS has taken her from care staff to upper-level management and she has completed her Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care Management.
As of the 3rd of January 2025, Gosia has completed the registration process with CQC to become EDS Homecare's Registered Manager. Her experience on the ground as a carer for so many years is invaluable to the well-led, safe, and effective running of the service.

Josie has been working at EDS Homecare since 2014.


Starting her career as a carer Josie has undertaken several qualifications including a NVQ level 3 in Adult Care and a teaching qualification.


She has been a long standing member of the out of hours emergency team and the EDS Homecare training team, specialising in moving and handling training.


Her vast experience, skills, knowledge and dedication has meant that Josie has progressed at EDS to one of the most senior positions in the company.

Morgan started at EDS as a hands-on carer; she soon took on the responsibility of the emergency out-of-hours service and her ability to manage complex situations, effectively assess people's needs and responsively devise action quickly became evident.
