On the whole, the care my husband received was very good, although sometimes he felt he was being rushed because they were so busy.

I am somewhat perplexed at your review as you have been with the agency for over two years with numerous amounts of additional input to ensure your care package is specific for your specific needs. You have had ample opportunity to change agency yet you have chosen to stay and yet only rate us 3/5 stars.
I appreciate that the slight increase in charges this winter may have added to the review; we have not had an increase in 5 years and due to the pandemic the prices have increased on all PPE not to mention the increase of the cost of living for the agency. This is unavoidable I am afraid.

Most of the carers were friendly and professional and treated my husband with dignity.
The unfortunate element was the timings for getting ready for bed - sometimes, this would be earlier than expected whilst we were still eating dinner.
Generally, the service was good.

This is why we always advise family members that there is a 30-minute leeway either way. This ensures staff have adequate time if they have an emergency in the call in front. Unfortunately, this is out of our hands in the case of waiting for an emergency response.

We found all carers very professional, kind, supportive, and excellent at their role of care and support. Their constant goodwill and kindness were always welcome and cheering for us all. Thank you so much for the excellent care you have provided for my 100-year-old mother. It was not only the thrice daily visits you paid on her but the backup on the telephone you gave to me during the rather traumatic times in the last six months. The fact you are on call 24 hours a day is also a benefit
to accepting urgent calls from me at 7.00 a.m on a Sunday morning after yet another fall. A special thank you to the team leader who has been so kind and understanding regarding the difficulties of dealing with a centenarian with a mind of her own. Sincere thanks.

Philippa Potter

Philippa and Lesley started Enabling Care For You in 2013.


She had worked with Lesley in her residential home in Plaxtol, Sevenoaks for several years, Philippa was a manager in this residential setting. After the birth of her youngest child, Philippa had a calling to work in the community.


Philippa worked for a mental health charity for two years before applying to work with KCC Commercial Service's flagship care agency.


Philippa progressed within 6 months from a branch manager to a Registered Manager of Kent and Brighton and was also promoted to Area Manager.


Philippa achieved her level 5 NVQ in 2008 and before this completed her levels 4,3, and 2 in care.


She loved the challenge of managing an agency but felt she could do it better, so approached Lesley this is how Enabling Care For You, was created.


Philippa brings with her over 20 years of experience in care.


Enabling Care For You specialises in looking after adults with palliative care or long-term health conditions.


Lesley

Lesley Pell

Job Title: Owner

Joined: 2015

Lesley worked in care in residential settings for many years while she had a young family.


She decided to set up her own residential home within her own family home in 1994 This grew from one client to 5 and closed in 2017 after 24 years due to family logistics.


Lesley has her RMA in care and Level 4,3,2 in care.


Lesley brings with her over 30 years of experience in different care settings.


Teresa

Teresa Macklin

Job Title: Head of Operations and Care

Teresa has worked in Health and Social Care for eight years


She has worked with different Care Providers to gain skills and knowledge in Home Care, Palliative Care and Assessing.


Teresa joined Enabling Care for You Ltd four years ago and has progressed from working in the field to being Head of Operations and Care studying and gaining her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Teresa is reliable and always willing to go the extra mile for both Clients and Staff in ensuring that high standards are always maintained.


She has a great organisational mind and is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of Enabling Care For You as well as liaising with Professionals to facilitate hospital discharges.


Amelia-Jane

Amelia-Jane Lefever

Amelia-Jane is the youngest in the office. After completing her Business Administration Diploma. Amelia-Jane is currently completing her Level 3 Diploma.


Being Enabling Care For You's administrative assistant, numerous situations arise on a day-to-day basis but after 5 years of being a Clinical Support Worker in the field, Amelia is expeditious in aiding staff and clients.

Recently Whitney has entered the care sector after being in customer services for multiple years. After dealing with a variety of different people, Whitney now would like to expand her career, skills and knowledge into Healthcare.
