Mum started receiving care from Home Instead at the end of August having been in respite care for 2 weeks, she suffers from vascular dementia. From my very first contact, through to meeting the deputy manager who created our care plan, through to Mum's 3 carers and another staff member who has taken
over our case from the deputy manager, I can not speak highly enough of you all.
Your care, respect, thoughtfulness and politeness are amazing, putting the patient in the middle of everything you do.
Thanks to you Mum can stay in her own home and we as a family can have peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after
Anyone looking for care look no further!

Reply from Mark Hunt, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Amazing to have such lovely feedback and even better to hear that your Mum is now safe and happy in her own home and that you as a family have peace of mind. That sounds like the holy trinity of care. Feedback is so important to know we are on the right track but your comment on putting your mum at the centre of everything we do is huge for us to hear as that is what we would always want to do. We always feedback to the team involved and have started that process already. Thank you.

Home Instead have been providing daily care for my Uncle for 3 years. The service is excellent, it has enabled my uncle to stay in his home rather than go into care which is as he wants. He has a lovely relationship with the carers who go above and beyond what is expected. I am kept informed, any issues
and niggles are quickly and satisfactorily sorted, and they go the extra mile in working with me to sort out any problems. Have no hesitation in recommending the service. I live a long way from my Uncle, and there are no other relatives so trusting Home Instead has been so vital in enabling him to live as he wishes and to give me peace of mind.

Reply from Mark Hunt, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

It is and has been our pleasure to look after your uncle. He is an amazing man and it is lovely to be involved in his life. Thank you for your support and let's hope your Uncle continues on as he is and we are able to ensure his life is enriched as much as possible for all that time. He is much loved by the team that knows him.

We have found the services provided by Home Instead uniformly excellent.
Individual carers have been thoughtful, reliable and always responsive.
In the same way, the management team have been both patient and quick to adapt to our changing needs, and are always available for discussion.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and measured review. It is, for us, a real tribute to receive such a positive review and it has been our honour to be involved in supporting, where we can, and trying and ensure that your Mother can stay in the place she loves best and continue to be the vital person that she is.

I would like to thank all the Home Instead staff for their professional approach. Care workers were so kind to my mum and nothing was too much trouble.
My mum had just one morning visit per day which made all the difference to her life. Knowing a care worker would be in each morning was something
to look forward to, a chat and company for an hour. Also, it was peace of mind for family members.
The care workers were on the whole punctual and if they couldn't fulfil the visit or were going to be late the office staff would always call us to let us know there would be a delay.
Mum also enjoyed attending the Home Instead Christmas parties!
Thank you all, I am eternally grateful.

Having used Home Instead assistance for the past six months, I have found the staff and carers I have encountered polite and friendly. The carers have all been cheerful, obliging, and willing to undertake whatever I have asked of them.

I had this service after open heart surgery for 2 weeks. The carer was punctual and happy to do anything for me. She was happy professional and gave a good standard of care! Would use this service again and highly recommend the company. They give you the whole hour and don't rush you like other agencies.

My mother did not want carers at first, but due to her age and frailty, it was the only way forward, with her wanting to stay in her own home.
Myself and my mother cannot fault Home Instead as a care provider.
My mother looked forward to their visits, and they were always on point with their care
as well as becoming a listening ear to my mother who liked to chat.

Reply from Mark Hunt, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Thanks so much for your feedback it was so kind of you to let us know how much you valued our service and I know that the care professionals have all adored visiting your mum. Your mum is amazing, as you know, and it has been lovely to be a small part of supporting her to stay at home where she has always wanted to be.

Very sympathetic. Excellent communication.
Home Instead was very easy to contact.
I was able to get care very quickly.
My parents enjoy having their carers over.
When I needed to change care provision on short notice this was accommodated.
I was also reminded when medication was low which was very
helpful.

Reply from Mark Hunt, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Thanks so much for taking the time and submit such a considered response covering each dimension of care. It is hugely helpful as part of our feedback to let each of the team know how their hard work and care have been appreciated. We are grateful for the glowing tribute but also for the thoughtfulness of your comments. It is an absolute pleasure to be supporting your mum.

Since we have had Home Instead over the last few months they have been genuinely brilliant, from the staff that deal with my mum to the staff in the office. Very professional caring carers and nothing is ever too much trouble, would thoroughly recommend them as Mum's care is first class and all tasks
are done to the highest standard and in a good timely manner. 10 out of 10 for trustworthiness.

Thank you so much for letting us know how pleased you have been with the care and support and how that has helped your mum. It always makes our day when we hear that the hard work and high standards we work to are seen and appreciated and ultimately is why we are involved in care. My experience with home and said has been exceptionally good and has aided my recovery. I have been showing kindness and dignity and respect of my home. Continuity of care team and arriving on time has been important to me. Only once was my time altered and unfortunately, I was not informed. Thank you
for providing this service as I live alone and it has been invaluable to me.

Right from the beginning of talking to the director, I knew this would be the right company to assist my mum and us. Always helpful, very responsive and once Mum was home we never had to worry if carers would arrive, a schedule was sent out each week in advance to let us know who was coming. My mum
was happy with the care provided and overall in the circumstances, we could not have asked for more. Mum passed away in good hands and we are very grateful to everyone who helped us. I would definitely recommend Home Instead should you need home help. Thanks everyone.

Thank you for submitting such a thoughtful lovely review. Your mum was a wonderful person to support and so sorry that she is no longer with us. Given the circumstances, it is amazing that you have found the energy and time to write such a tribute to us. It is so lovely to hear that you and your mum felt so well supported in your hour of need as it can be a very different experience without
people around you. We will pass on your feedback to all the team involved as we all give of ourselves during these moments and it is lovely to hear it was appreciated so much. Thank you and travel well.

Home Instead have been providing care for our mother since July 2022. They have covered for our normal carer when she has been away. They go in twice each Saturday to give our normal carer a day off. They cover when our normal carer is away as well.
Staff in the office is very efficient and helpful.
The carers who have been to see Mum are all lovely. Carers are all very caring towards Mum and Mum likes them all very much.
My siblings and I are really pleased and extremely grateful to everyone at Home Instead for the help and support you are giving us in caring for our Mum.

Home Instead have been providing care to Mum for over three years, initially one visit per day but as Mum's needs increased they were able to increase to 3 visits a day at very short notice. The carers were wonderful with Mum, being patient, caring and loving. They always greeted her with a smile and
we felt they genuinely cared for Mum's welfare. Mum looked forward to their visits as it brightened up her day. They were proactive in adapting to Mum's changing needs. Thank you for providing my brother and me with peace of mind.

Dear Rob
Thank you so much for writing a review and we will pass your thanks back to the team for being "patient, caring and loving". I know that your mum was much loved and will be sorely missed by everyone involved. We all wish her well. I appreciate that this provided you both with peace of mind as that is the essence of what we aspire to with supporting people. Thank you again.

My mother is visually impaired, now in her 80s and was widowed a few years ago. She was keen to retain her independence and stay in the family home but required support to do so. Home Instead took the time to understand what support was required, tailored a service to suit her and has provided reliable,
regular assistance for over a year. They have taken Mum on trips, helped with shopping, meals, paperwork and household chores and have provided companionship throughout that time. It has meant that Mum could stay in familiar surroundings for longer than she would have been able to otherwise. I thoroughly recommend them.

Reply from Mark Hunt, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Thank you for remembering and drawing together the things that have happened over the time your mum received support from our team. It is always so uplifting to hear how the small things have helped your mum to keep her independence and stay at home for as long as possible and for the time she wanted to be there. I know the team really loved supporting and being with your Mum and were privileged to be involved in her life for this time and will really appreciate you taking the time to write this review. They will be so pleased to hear that all those visits added up to an independent and autonomous life.

As this was my first experience of this type of service I did not completely know what to expect. I found the initial introduction to be informative, understanding and carried out with compassion.
A plan was formulated that met our needs and with a few days Care Professionals were visiting our home.
We found all the staff that visited us to be polite, and very able to carry out the tasks we required and I would not have any reservations in using them again.
I can, from my experience completely recommend Home Instead.

My parents were looked after by Home Instead until July 2022, when we moved my mother to a care home closer to me after my father's death. I cannot praise the Home Instead team too highly. The care professionals looking after my parents went to endless lengths to keep them happy and comfortable at home,
and the office team performed short-notice organisational miracles of all sorts, including, for instance, providing cover when we got Covid and couldn't visit. One of the team even managed to bring my mother to her new home when we were all still testing positive on moving day. Everyone was so kind and so gentle with my increasingly fragile parents. I would recommend Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport) without hesitation.

I hope you have all recovered from Covid and are well. I hear your mother is settling in well to her new home. Thanks so much for your kind words and it was lovely to meet you at the Platinum Jubillee cream tea. It was a privilege to be involved in your parents' care and I hope everything goes well in the future.

Hi - I'm Rebecca and I am a co-director (with Mark) of Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport. I am a qualified GP (working in the South Somerset area) and believe that this puts me in an excellent position to lead a company that delivers bespoke client-centred care. I live in a hamlet near Martock with my young family.

The Yeovil office was established by my late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top-quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. Fundamental to the business are the principles of empathy, respect, value in service and continuous learning. Ashley was a great believer in the power of relationships to enrich and transform lives. He derived energy from being around other people and recognised the huge benefit that human interaction can have on an individual’s sense of well-being. I very much hope to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in the locality.

Mark and I have a wonderful office team around us to support our vision to grow the business without compromising on quality. We have lots of exciting plans and ideas to help us attain our goal of being able to provide the best care to more people. I feel very privileged to be part of a business that has fabulous Care Professionals who are resolutely dedicated to our lovely clients and are all prepared to go the extra mile.

Although I am not from Somerset originally, I love living here; it feels like home. Away from work, I enjoy riding, running and meeting friends. Having three very active boys, we spend a lot of time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful countryside.

I have been a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for 25 years. When not at work I love sport and have recently completed an ultramarathon (never again). I enjoy spending time walking, reading and with the family outside of sport and work. The profile picture was taken by one of my 3 year old twins to post on the website.

We are a local employer and feel a part of the local community both as an employer but crucially in providing care for clients in South Somerset & Dorset.

Having Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers in our team allow us to provide the highest quality of person-centred care, whilst having the knowledge to judge when extra support and onward referral is necessary. This is always underpinned by our ambition of maintaining a client’s independence, enabling people to stay in their own homes wherever possible.

I believe the prioritization of time we give to our clients builds the space for empathy and enjoyment of social interaction. This allows us to create relationships that are based on an individual’s personal interests as well as their needs. It is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we are equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in my clinical practice and inform our ethos at Home Instead. Some of my feelings have been shaped by looking after both my parents who suffer from dementia and are cared for at home by a dedicated team (including my brother and I). My focus is on providing care that I would be happy for my Mum and Dad to enjoy.

I'm Vicky, a new Field Care Supervisor for Home Instead in Yeovil. I live in Langport with my mum, brother, and a very spoilt dog called Gracie.

I have worked in the healthcare sector for around 3 years and have previously worked with Dementia patients, elderly patients, and adults with learning disabilities. This has been in a mix of different environments such as Care Homes, assisted living, and domiciliary care. Working with clients in their homes has become a passion of mine as you can see that the clients are happy to be in their familiar surroundings while being able to receive the support that they require to be healthy and safe. I find working in health care very rewarding and love nothing more than helping people and making people smile.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog - whenever and wherever we go she always gets a new toy! I also enjoy crochet and doing puzzles. I always make time for family and enjoy going to see my nan.

I am the newly joined marketing coordinator, with over five years of experience in the health and social care industry. Before my tenure at the home care company, I refined my skills at a digital marketing agency in India, where I managed a diverse portfolio of brands.

Outside work, I enjoy outdoor sports, especially cricket and volleyball, spending time with my family, and trying Indian restaurants in Yeovil and nearby towns. Using my experience in social care and digital marketing, I wish to contribute to the growth of Home Instead Yeovil to the next level.
