My parents had just started using Home Instead's services when my father fell and broke his hip. The manager and the team were marvellous in immediately providing the unanticipated extra care needed to make sure they were well looked after. Since then, they have settled into a daily routine with a
small team of lovely carers who are all unfailingly kind, willing and able. We are so thrilled to have found such caring people and, living so far away in Australia, I am comforted to know that my parents are being so well looked after.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our services. Feedback is very important to us as an organisation, as it helps us to continue doing what we do well, and make improvements if necessary. As you allude to in your message, when family live many miles away from loved ones, it is imperative that you are confident they are being cared for in the manner that you would care for them yourselves. We only select the best care professionals to work for Home Instead; it appears that the support your parents are receiving from us, reflects this emphasis on the quality of our staff. Once again many thanks for expressing your sentiments, I hope that we continue to meet and exceed your expectations.
Kind Regards.

I have been delighted by the standard of care provided. It has been very professional yet understanding and patient. I have made no request which has not been met immediately. Friends have dropped round unexpectedly but have been made welcome. I have also been driven to see a special friend who is very
sick. I have been helped with my exercises. Thank you for sending such a lovely and capable person.

Mum was diagnosed with dementia in December 2021. Home Instead went out of their way to be able to support her at short notice, when other health care professionals were suggesting she needed full-time care in a home.

Reply from Rebecca Gray, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. I am delighted to read that you feel so satisfied with the support your mum received from Home Instead. As an organisation we spend time focusing on dementia care and offer in-house dementia training to our care professionals. As you will know from first-hand experience, people with dementia often require a different approach in terms of their care to ensure their needs are met. We understand this, and know that having a diagnosis of dementia does not preclude someone from being able to live well at home with the right support in place. Thank you once again for your appreciative comments.
Best wishes.

Thoroughly recommend Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport). The care they have been providing to my mum over several years has been great and very reliable. Good quality care delivered with kindness and compassion and a person-centred approach that included thoughtful celebrations for mum's
100th birthday. The office team have been marvellous in responding quickly to meet mum's needs as they have grown. We know the team have absolutely made the difference in delivering Mum's wish to be in her own home for as long as possible.

Reply from Rebecca Gray, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Thank you for taking the time to post your review about the care your mum has received from us. I know that all of us in the Home Instead team really appreciate receiving such positive feedback. It is so important for us to know that we are making a significant difference to people's lives through supporting them to stay at home for as long as possible. I am delighted that we were able to be part of celebrating your mum's 100th birthday - a very special occasion for all involved.

Since falling and breaking his neck last year, my 91 year old father has depended on a team of carers in his own home, largely provided by Home Instead. With their continued help and support, they have provided my parents the means to remain living independently and together, for which we are very grateful.
There have been occasions recently when we have called on Home Instead for last minute unexpected cover and this has been invaluable. My parents particularly like the fact that they know exactly when their carer will be arriving each day (they have 4 visits daily) and the name of the carer. As they tend to be the same carers they have got to know them and formed good relationships with them. The whole Home Instead team from the office to the carers are highly professional and really helpful, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who asks!

Reply from Mark Hunt, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Dear Jan,
Thank you so much for your kind and positive words. It is lovely to hear that you father has recovered so well and that the team that have been visiting him have been supportive in his wellbeing at home. It is a lovely tribute to them and in turn to the office team in ensuring your father is able to be living as independent life as possible in his own home.

Dad has got Parkinson's Disease and Mum had been his carer for several years, but then Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. After having a few poor experiences with other care providers we finally found Home Instead. I would like to thank all the girls and office staff who looked after Mum and Dad
so well. I would highly recommend Home Instead's services, they are proficient, friendly, reliable, compassionate, professional and always looking for a solution in a crisis. Thank you so much.

Thank you for such generous comments. Your parents were a delight to support during the incredibly tough time for your parents and siblings in the pandemic. Our hearts went out to you and your family and I know the caregivers were very fond of your parents and wanted to go above and beyond in their care for them both. Wishing your Dad and family the best for Christmas and the New Year and I hope 2022 brings a better start for you all.

Having Home Instead in my godmother's life has brought much-needed structure, it warms my heart when I hear things like "I look forward to seeing the ladies today" and "they took me shopping".
After a sudden fall at home, one of the carers packed an emergency bag to take to the hospital. Also, as
I was not allowed to visit in hospital due to Covid, but then after making all arrangments the hospital then decided to send a confused person home and yet again Home Instead stepped in and offered to help and collect my godmother as I have a family which takes planning.
The care, attention to detail and peace of mind that it gives me knowing that the perfect care package is in place.
A team that listens!

Dear Rachel,
So sorry to be slow in thanking you for your feedback. We are always hugely grateful for clients and families submitting reviews. It is lovely to hear that your godmother is finding our visits are so supportive. It is highly personal to let someone new into your house and it only works if you match the caregivers with the client so that they can trust the individual and they feel comfortable being in your house. We can then help with more personal care. Thank you again for taking the time.

I have only just started using Home Instead but the change in my husband is wonderful. They look after him very well and nothing is too much trouble. I now get home to a very happy smiley husband who is no longer alone for much of the day when I am at work. They are also very happy to put the hoover
through and always ask if there is anything they can do to help me as well. It makes my day at work very relaxed knowing that my husband is in very good hands and for once I do not have to worry about him having any mishaps.

Great to hear that the service is working and thank you so much for leaving such a nice review as it is so nice for all involved to have such lovely feedback. So pleased that your husband is enjoying his time with our caregivers and I know they are enjoying looking after him. Thanks again.

Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) supported my father each evening to ensure he was well, ready for bed and administered his tablets. This was a critical service as my father was registered blind and had previously been confusing medicines. The team of professionals that helped my father were
excellent and always went the extra mile to ensure he was comfortable, had what he needed, and on a couple of occasions, helped him to or from hospital visits, extending their time or coming back in a non-scheduled visit.
Communication with the central team was also very good with regular conversations and quick alerts for any problems.
Home Instead allowed my Father to stay in his flat significantly longer than would otherwise have been possible, and gave me peace of mind that my Father was being well cared for.

Reply from Mark Hunt, Director at Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) Homecare, Live in Care & Safety Systems

Dear Alex,
Thanks so much for taking the time to give us feedback and so wonderful to hear that both you and your father appreciated the love and care from the team. Your father is a wonderful man and the caregivers involved in supporting him loved him dearly.

Very quickly set up a package for my mother. Very thorough assessment by Registered Manager. Experienced and kind carers who go above and beyond. They kindly took my mother for a hospital appointment and vaccine.
Mother enjoys her regular caregivers and looks forwards to seeing them and chatting every
day.
Highly recommend the Administrator and the team. Thank you, everyone.

Dear Terry

Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review. It is an extra thing to do but the feedback is hugely appreciated. We will always try and be as responsive as possible to a request to providing support for clients as quickly as possible as often it is because our clients are struggling.

Equally, we think it's hugely important to build relationships and to match our caregivers to our client's personalities and their interests and nice to hear it has worked on this occasion.

Thanks again

When we first explored getting some assistance it sounded expensive but it is not! The service was and is excellent. It was tailored to our needs, implemented within 24 hours of our request and delivered exactly what we wanted. Caring, polite and enthusiastic staff. Good communication along with kindness
and empathy. You might find cheaper providers but I do not think you could find better. The carers all worked very efficiently but equally effectively. If they saw something that needed doing they did it and throughout they adhered to Covid guidelines. They had clearly been trained and always made sure tasks were completed to our satisfaction. Their dedication made a large contribution to my wife's recovery. Thanks to the entire team.

Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback. We do always try to ensure our service delivers the highest quality of care and that this starts with the quality of relationship with our clients. However, it is lovely to hear that the hard work of the caregivers is of the highest standard. It always helps if the clients are also of the highest quality!

For the past 12-months, my husband has needed the compassionate care of Home Instead.
Before having Home Instead carers, I was caring for my husband myself and finding it very stressful. The care input from Home Instead care was wonderful and took the stress away from me leaving me feeling more relaxed.
His
carers arrived every morning with a welcoming smile, much appreciated by me. They were always punctual and friendly.
I would recommend Home Instead to anybody looking for sympathetic, reliable and trustworthy care.
Unfortunately, due to the deterioration of my husband's Parkinson's Disease, he is unable to remain at home. I will miss seeing all his carers who helped my husband and myself at a very difficult time.
A big thank you to you all.

The carers were always so kind and helpful. My mother really looked forward to seeing them every day. They couldn't do enough to help her to try to stay in her own home. They became a very important part of her life, almost friends. She was very upset and disappointed when she had to accept that she
would no longer be able to remain at home. She really missed seeing the carers after she went into a home. Thank you for all the kindness and support you gave her.

I can't speak highly enough of Home Instead, they have been an absolute godsend to my family at a difficult time for us. Mum has been treated with so much kindness, compassion, care and understanding by her caregivers who I can only describe as angels.
From the moment I contacted Home Instead, I knew
I had found our perfect fit. The staff and management have been so supportive and it has certainly eased my mind that mum (and dad) is being looked after by an amazing team.
For everything they've done for us as a family a simple thank you just doesn't seem enough.

The family have been extremely happy with the service provided by Home Instead. Mum met a number of carers until the "best fit" was found. The main carer has been very flexible about last minute changes and very supportive to Mum over the past 12 months. We have only terminated the contract due to Mum
going into a residential home.

Hi - I'm Rebecca and I am a co-director (with Mark) of Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport. I am a qualified GP (working in the South Somerset area) and believe that this puts me in an excellent position to lead a company that delivers bespoke client-centred care. I live in a hamlet near Martock with my young family.

The Yeovil office was established by my late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top-quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. Fundamental to the business are the principles of empathy, respect, value in service and continuous learning. Ashley was a great believer in the power of relationships to enrich and transform lives. He derived energy from being around other people and recognised the huge benefit that human interaction can have on an individual’s sense of well-being. I very much hope to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in the locality.

Mark and I have a wonderful office team around us to support our vision to grow the business without compromising on quality. We have lots of exciting plans and ideas to help us attain our goal of being able to provide the best care to more people. I feel very privileged to be part of a business that has fabulous Care Professionals who are resolutely dedicated to our lovely clients and are all prepared to go the extra mile.

Although I am not from Somerset originally, I love living here; it feels like home. Away from work, I enjoy riding, running and meeting friends. Having three very active boys, we spend a lot of time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful countryside.

I have been a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for 25 years. When not at work I love sport and have recently completed an ultramarathon (never again). I enjoy spending time walking, reading and with the family outside of sport and work. The profile picture was taken by one of my 3 year old twins to post on the website.

We are a local employer and feel a part of the local community both as an employer but crucially in providing care for clients in South Somerset & Dorset.

Having Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers in our team allow us to provide the highest quality of person-centred care, whilst having the knowledge to judge when extra support and onward referral is necessary. This is always underpinned by our ambition of maintaining a client’s independence, enabling people to stay in their own homes wherever possible.

I believe the prioritization of time we give to our clients builds the space for empathy and enjoyment of social interaction. This allows us to create relationships that are based on an individual’s personal interests as well as their needs. It is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we are equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in my clinical practice and inform our ethos at Home Instead. Some of my feelings have been shaped by looking after both my parents who suffer from dementia and are cared for at home by a dedicated team (including my brother and I). My focus is on providing care that I would be happy for my Mum and Dad to enjoy.

I have worked in the healthcare sector for around 3 years and have previously worked with Dementia patients, elderly patients, and adults with learning disabilities. This has been in a mix of different environments such as Care Homes, assisted living, and domiciliary care. Working with clients in their homes has become a passion of mine as you can see that the clients are happy to be in their familiar surroundings while being able to receive the support that they require to be healthy and safe. I find working in health care very rewarding and love nothing more than helping people and making people smile.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking my dog - whenever and wherever we go she always gets a new toy! I also enjoy crochet and doing puzzles. I always make time for family and enjoy going to see my nan.

Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

I am the newly joined marketing coordinator, with over five years of experience in the health and social care industry. Before my tenure at the home care company, I refined my skills at a digital marketing agency in India, where I managed a diverse portfolio of brands.

Outside work, I enjoy outdoor sports, especially cricket and volleyball, spending time with my family, and trying Indian restaurants in Yeovil and nearby towns. Using my experience in social care and digital marketing, I wish to contribute to the growth of Home Instead Yeovil to the next level.
