Wright Care at Home is a home care service that is in every way what they would want for their own families and friends, thus promoting their customers with the best quality of life. This is done by treating them with respect and dignity to ensure Wright Care promotes independence to remain at home, supplying a high level of care that exceeds customers' expectations and meets their needs.

Wright Care will ensure their customers' wishes are met and that the service is person-centred. They take positive steps to ensure they build on strengths and capabilities therefore maintaining independence but giving customers the opportunity to stay at home whilst receiving care.

They are a team that truly cares and has built a family ethos with initiatives to ensure this is in the heart of the service. Keeping the compassion at the heart of everything they do.

They were recently awarded 'Home care provider of the year' for their region by the Great British Care Awards (2023)and the SME for East Midlands (2024). Rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (September 2020). Funding & Fees Guide for Wright Care at Home

  • Prices
  • We base all of our services on hourly visits with a min 4 hr service order.


    Monday to Friday
    1 hour £37.50
    WAKE IN NIGHT £37.500 Per Hour
    SLEEP IN NIGHT 10PM TILL 7AM £205.00


    Saturday and Sundays
    1 hour £39.50
    WAKE IN NIGHT £39.50 Per Hour
    SLEEP IN NIGHT 10PM TILL 7AM £205.00


  • All fees are based on assessment and dependency needs.


    We operate on a minimum of 4 hrs per week service order.


    As a service, we do not provide 30 or 15-minute visits unless it is in addition to a current service order


    For any short-term packages, we charge a £50.00 admin fee. All short term adhoc care packages we take the payment in advance.


    Invoices are taken via direct debit on a fortnightly basis.


    we charge a double rate pay on Xmas day, Boxing Day and New Years day only.

I would like to thank you all for the care you gave to my stepfather during the last few weeks of his life. He was so grateful you could help as he thought a lot of you all from when you helped us care for mum over 3-years ago now. He felt comfortable with you all, and nothing was too much trouble.
At a time when things were difficult enough, the virus made it even more so, and I thank you for enabling us to fulfil his wish to stay in his own home. I cannot thank you enough.

Samantha

Samantha Wright

Job Title: Founder, Director and Nominated Individual

I’ve worked in Health and Social Care for the last thirteen years, in a variety of settings gaining a wealth of experience. I started as a care support worker delivering home care and then worked my way through the ranks of management to where I am now.


I have a background in customer service. I was a manager of a retail store in Stamford before moving to find a more rewarding career in Health and Social Care.


After working in a variety of care settings I had always had a passion and determination to set my very own care company up providing a wide range of services within my home town.


First hand knowing what good practice is I have always strived on delivering the best customer service. In 2016, I achieved a personal dream and I am fully committed to ensuring ‘Wright Care at Home’ provides a high standard of care, continuity and service to all our customers. Not only that but ensuring I have the best team to make sure this happens.’


Wright Care at Home is a small family run business. It was set up in January 2016 by my late father Simon Wright and myself. Unfortunately 2 years into our journey we lost Simon our co-founder in an accident. After personally witnessing what person-centred care should look like, I strive on to keep his ethos alive within the company.


He would be proud of how far we have come today.


My role is to support my management team and ensure they have all the tools and passion to continue delivering a great service and also to keep the compassion at the heart of all they do.


Since the birth of my twin daughters, I support the drive of the business forward with new innovative ideas and ensure standards are maintained. This is my dream and I'm excited for what the future holds for all of us.

Margie has supported the set up of Wright Care at Home with her wealth of experience in administration and her excellent organisation skills.


I have been involved in Customer Service Industries for most of my working life. This, coupled with an early family involvement with St. John Ambulance set me up perfectly for supporting my step-daughter, Samantha in establishing Wright Care at Home.


I currently work on the “mechanics” of the Business. Premises, equipment, advertising etc. I am also the Nominated Individual for Wright Care at Home meaning I am to available to staff members in order to support them with their chosen careers.

Sarah Palmer

Job Title: Registered Care Manager - Safeguarding Lead

Joined: 2016

My calling for care came at a young age when I saw a loved one receive such attentive care and support whilst battling through their journey with cancer. It was at this point I knew I was destined for the industry.


I have worked for over 15 years in various care support roles across different settings, including elderly, palliative, learning disabilities and dementia care.


When my good friend, Sammy, started to create this company, I knew that is where I needed to be. I started in 2016 when the company was founded, and I have not looked back since. My role as a carer and the previous experience I had behind me quickly enabled me to work hard through the ranks, from Care Supervisor to Deputy Manager and now where I currently am, being the Registered Care Manager.


Every day I am proud of the ethos we uphold and that I play even a small part in that. We have been through many highs and hard times emotionally since opening the doors in 2016 but I believe that has made us all stronger and even more focused to carry on the amazing, high-quality service that we do. I feel blessed to be where I am to support, encourage and mentor our incredible Wright Care at Home family.

Jane Abbey

Job Title: Training Manager

Joined: 2022

I joined Wright Care at Home in January 2022 and am very excited to take their training programme forward, upskilling the team and also learning from them as they all have gained substantial skills and knowledge during their careers.


I have worked with older people in various settings for over 35 years, starting off as a nurse, and moving on to Care home and Day centre management, as well as a spell in housing managing the independent living service, supporting older people in their own homes.


Moving into training seemed a natural step for me as I enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills and watching people learn and grow in confidence as they learn new skills.


I am a mum to 5, Nanny to 8, and if you haven’t guessed by now, my family are my world.

I’ve worked for Wright Care at Home from the beginning. I always remember my ‘Mum’ telling me there is no point in doing a job if you don’t enjoy it.


I can honestly say the work I do does not feel like a job, I absolutely love every minute.


In the two years I have worked for ‘Wright Care at Home’, I have achieved so many qualifications. All evidenced with a certificate. I love certificates! but my proudest moment and achievement is my recently awarded level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.


We are not just a team here, but a family. I was so overwhelmed when I was approached from my Manager encouraging me to apply for an ambassador senior role. I feel honored to be in this role, I sat through a grueling interview and then my Manager Sammy at the end said I already knew you would fit the role.


I have utter determination, respect, trust for everyone in my team, for all I do and most of all my customers who I provide care to.


I am so proud of my career here and would never look back.

I have been a carer for almost nine years now and joining Wright Care at Home is the best move I’ve ever made.


Their ethos, compassion, support and dedication shines through.


I have always been content to stay in this position but when I was given the opportunity to carry these attributes to new recruits and existing team colleagues to become an ambassador for the Company, how could I turn it down.


I love giving all my knowledge and experience to others, to watch them grow and flourish with such an outstanding Company. The close team work are what makes us unique and long may it continue.

When my daughter Samantha set ‘Wright Care at Home’ with the help and support from her late father ‘Simon Wright’ I couldn’t have been more proud as she had worked so hard for her dream.


When I moved back from Suffolk and found I had a few hours in the evening spare she suggested I might enjoy a bit of bank work to help when needed in the community. I wasn’t quite sure I could still do it as I hadn’t delivered care since my late teens. How wrong I was I love it. The customers were and are lovely and it’s nice to hear about their lives and families and to cook suppers for them that they enjoy and look forward to. I know I make a difference.


Wright Care at Home is a person-centred company that goes above and beyond and I am delighted to be part of this family team and would highly recommend it to those who may be retired but have a few hours to spare to come to join this team.

It’s been a roller coaster year for us all and after losing my job at Alternatives, which offered a pregnancy and infant loss bereavement service, I was unsure of which way to turn within my career. After seeing a job advert for Wright Care at home I applied and straight away felt at home and excited to begin my journey after the job offer and I felt at home straight away.
