Having been a client of Home Instead for some years, I am pleased to say that I have always been satisfied with their care services and found the charges very reasonable. The carers themselves have proved kind, helpful and willing and prepared to fit in with any special requirements.

Mum was cared for by Home Instead carers for 2 years before she moved into a home in January 2022. Her carers were fantastic and fostered a good relationship with her, which built as her care needs increased. She enjoyed their company and they were very friendly, patient and encouraging with her as
her dementia progressed. The team in the office were amazing at keeping in touch with me about what was going on, and helping with various appointments and tasks, which as I live in Australia, was a real help. Home Instead are very professional and supportive, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Mum's team of caregivers are second to none. They show great compassion, care and patience with her and they really have helped Mum to get through the most difficult times during the Pandemic as well as helping her while she grieves the loss of her husband of 61 years. Mum is always much more cheerful
after her visits and I truly believe that it is the interaction she receives on a daily basis that has helped slow down the development of her dementia and ultimately has enabled her to remain in her own home. Management have been equally supportive and always listen to any concerns that arise along the way. A first-class service!

We have been using home instead for nearly 2 years now, we have found all carers to be professional, caring and knowledgeable. They have no hesitation in doing what is best for us as clients. They all go above and beyond in their caring roles. The staff in the office are always happy to help if we have
need to contact them, they quickly sort out any queries we have. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

My caregiver and all contacts in the office are excellent and can't do enough to help me. I feel safe and cared for and above all, I am always treated with dignity and respect. They are the best care company I have ever encountered by far!

All the carers that attended my wife over a period of eighteen months were excellent - all had slightly different personalities - but it did not detract from the job in hand. The office staff also need commending, when a change of rota was required especially at the last minute the office always did
its best to help.

A good group of carers and a good support team ready to step in to help should the need arise and keep us informed. Always attentive and helpful. Took suitable precautions during pandemics. Management stepped in to support when bad weather (snow) prevented the normal carer from attending.

It is really heartwarming to see the quality of care provided by the carefully selected CareGivers. I have Power of Attorney for a close friend of the family who has now sadly got dementia. Particularly during this last difficult year where visiting vulnerable friends and relatives has not been possible,
the client has struggled with not being able to visit socially or have regular visitors so the services of Home Instead have been a lifeline in the companionship they provide. In addition, the team of CareGivers supports the client to manage tasks in the home - providing as much or as little assistance (in the background) as required and make it possible for the client to remain in their home. The admin team provides full backup and are always efficient, helpful and prompt when dealing with enquiries.

We chose Home Instead when Dad was discharged from hospital in September 2018 and caregivers were needed for mum and dad to remain living at home. I wasn't sure what to expect, but even before Home Instead had started providing care, the managing director and his team answered all the questions I had
worried about and provided help and advice on things I had even considered. The care provided during the following 7 months was excellent, when my parents had spells in hospital they kept everything running smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. They are truly a lovely, caring, competent, professional, nice team and we were all a bit sad to lose them when we needed 24-hour live-in care in April this year. I have no hesitation at all in recommending them as your first port of call.

Mum was not happy initially about having people come to her house to provide support but she now looks forward to seeing her "minders" as she calls them. Always lots of laughter and gives her the opportunity to get out and about. The family is now confident that she has the appropriate care when they
are not around.

I am very pleased to have found Home Instead. From the start, I have been impressed by their quick response to my enquiry and then in providing someone to help and provide companionship for my mother who suffers from dementia. Her carer provides a breath of fresh air and adeptly deals with what can
sometimes be a difficult situation. She has found out what my mother enjoys doing and has introduced relevant activities. For instance, my mother loves pottering in the garden and she and her carer have done some beautiful flower arranging. It is a relief to know my mother has someone looking out for her and is providing much needed stimulation.
I have been getting reports about each visit, which are very informative and useful. The service provided by Home Instead has taken a weight off my mind, for which I am very grateful.

The quality of care provided by Home Instead is very good and I know that my aunt was very satisfied with the support she received. She was able to stay in her own home for over a year longer than might have been expected until her advanced dementia meant that she needed 24-hour care. She was well
supported at home being prompted sensitively to eat, take her medication etc and she looked forward to the visits of her Caregivers. They also took her out of the house on trips to the shops and medical and other appointments and one of the carers even continued to visit her regularly once she moved to a care home. With Home Instead the wishes and dignity of the client are paramount as it should be. However, as next of kin living some distance from North Devon and only being able to visit my aunt occasionally I would have liked to have been informed more regularly of changes in her health and welfare.

My parents have received exemplary care in a compassionate and personalised way that has allowed them to rebuild their confidence and independence after a lengthy hospitalisation.

The carers are positive, professional and completely reliable and as their son, I have not had to intervene once to

address any problems for my parents.

My parents are of a generation where inviting “strangers” into their home and receiving hands-on personal care is not easy to accept and yet the way in which that care has been provided has meant they have accepted and indeed welcomed the support and maintained their independence. They have both improved since care was put in place and trust and value their carers.

I have engaged with the Manager very easy and the initial assessment he undertook in the hospital was very thorough and his level of communication with me ever since has been exactly what I need.

My mum has lived with us for the past 3 1/2 years and for 3 of these years I have managed to attend to all her needs. Mum is 95 now and frail and I found that the time it was taking to do the morning routine I was struggling to get everything I needed to be done to be ready for work etc and was continually
under pressure time wise and I didn’t want to rush Mum. Together we decided we should look at Carers. I was fussy about who came in and liked that Home Instead came at a set time, that it was the same few caregivers and that they matched suitable people to Mum so although we had to wait 3 months for a vacancy it was worth it. The ladies are lovely and we both feel totally at home with them. They are always prompt and courteous and we like them a lot. They're being there for an hour each morning allows me to get everything done without worrying about Mum and then I am ahead for the day and able to attend to Mums needs without any pressure. We would definitely recommend the company.
