It sounds like Lotus Home Care has truly made a positive impact on your nanna's life! The fact that the carers go above and beyond, offering a cup of tea, being friendly, and helping her maintain her independence, is wonderful. It's such a delicate balance to ensure someone gets the support they need while also empowering them to do things for themselves, and it sounds like they've found that balance for your nanna. This will be passed on to the carers.

However, a high turnover of staff leads to problems such as scheduling and timekeeping.
Lack of feedback when reporting problems via telephone.
Some carers are excellent, some are poor.
A perceived lack of staff training.

I have been working in the care sector for the past 6 years and I am very passionate about ensuring good effective care is given to everyone who needs support. I started out as a domiciliary care worker and fell in love with everything this type of person-centred care has to offer. I have worked in many different healthcare roles and have experience with dementia, mental health, brain injury and everything in between. I started my journey as a CQC registered manager a year ago and have now joined the Lotus family. The passion and care that Lotus has to provide excellent care makes me very happy to be Team Lotus. Domiciliary care is a wonderful service and I truly believe that helping people remain independent in their own homes is not just a job but a privilege. We are always on hand to provide advice and support to all members of the public whether you are looking for care for yourself or a loved one.

I am the care manager for the Huddersfield branch. I have worked here for 5 years now. I came to Lotus as a carer and quickly progressed to becoming a care coordinator, then deputy manager.
