We were very nervous about using a care agency as you hear about people who have had horrible experiences but Home Instead have been incredible. They were so helpful in getting everything in place so my mum could be discharged from hospital. They guided us through the process and nothing was too much
trouble.
The care they provide has been exemplary. The carers they employ are very professional, friendly and caring and they all speak very highly of the company. Nothing is too much trouble for the office staff who are always available to speak to.
Their support has made a very difficult journey that much easier and we have enjoyed getting to know all the lovely carers and staff. We will be forever grateful.

Very efficient organisation, all carers are first class and have a very kind and sympathetic approach to the client. They go out of their way to see the residents are comfortable. l have no complaints about any of the services l have received from Home Instead.

We look forward to seeing our carers weekly, they are cheerful and work well. Both know what needs doing and do it well. There is also a very good balance between work and rapport, which is pleasing as many weeks apart from shopping we only see each other. All in all very satisfied with the service.

My uncle left hospital and was in need of care at short notice. The manager was able to meet with me and my uncle at my uncle's home within a couple of hours of getting in touch and the care was in place for the next morning. The manager was very respectful of my uncle and made sure he explained things
to him carefully, which was important for my uncle and reassuring for me. The service that we have received since then has been faultless. My uncle has spoken very highly of the care and any time I've needed to be in touch about something I've been able to talk to someone immediately. My experience with Home Instead in Wakefield has been fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We can highly recommend Home Instead. From our first contact we found them very helpful, flexible and understanding of what we were looking for. It was our first experience of care in the home and very often we didn't know what we needed, but at all times Home Instead were able to help and respond quickly.
Dad quickly settled into his new routine and enjoyed the company of Home Instead carers.
They did indeed enable Dad to be at home instead of hospital. Thank you to the whole team.

We have been using Home Instead for a number of months now following a recommendation from a friend. Wow! What a breath of fresh air they are compared to many caregiving companies. Friendly helpful supportive kind. The team in the office are amazing and the caregivers themselves we have had are nothing
but kind helpful and respectful. I love that each session is an hour long. With Mum's medical condition and lack of speed and agility, we need not to be against the clock. Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia are horrid diseases on their own never mind together and the team have restored my faith in care for all the reasons given above. Mum is happy. They have taken tons of pressure off me and I could not recommend them highly enough. Thank you for all you do for us.

I have used Home Instead Wakefield three times to provide support to my mum whilst I have been on holiday. I've appreciated the flexibility of being able to set up ad hoc support and that the same person has generally been scheduled to look after my mum. My mum lives relatively independently at 90 so
the support provided has been quite low level such as washing up, making the bed etc but knowing someone is coming in to check on my elderly mum and be in hand for any issues she has, has been wonderful and allowed me to take holidays knowing she is being well cared for. Thank you all at Home Instead Wakefield.

Home Instead was suggested by an NHS professional and it has been a very positive experience right from my initial contact. Other agencies had thought we 'live too far away' (we don't) Home Instead said 'Yes, we can do that.' I am a lone carer with no family nearby and my husband's needs have increased
over the last year. Home Instead has always been very responsive, from the staff member in the office who is always so helpful, through to the whole team of carers, all of whom are lovely warm people who are kind, patient and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do.
Having Home Instead has given me my life back, as much as possible, and I can work and visit family in the UK and abroad, knowing that my husband is safe and well looked after and that there is a solid backup of an organisation. Recently, in an emergency, they provided 3 hours of unscheduled care with 2 hours notice.
I am also a health professional and have very high standards. I can thoroughly recommend Home Instead.

Home Instead provide care and support for my elderly father, who has dementia and needs lots of help to live independently. The management team and our regular carer, do a brilliant job. They understand Dad's needs, look after him very well indeed and have gone above and beyond for my dad on more than
one occasion when he's had an accident. I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough, they are fantastic.

I found Home Instead when looking for respite care for my dad when I was going to be away on holiday. From their initial visit to ascertain my dad's needs they've been nothing but brilliant. He loves the carers who attend. Not only because of the assistance they give him but the time they spend with
him having a chat making sure he's okay. I have nothing but the highest praise for all the staff at Home Instead and I can't express how happy I am to have found them. I can be away knowing my dad is in the best hands giving me peace of mind that he's okay while I'm not there. I receive regular invitations for friendship days they organise in our local area. They've been nothing but brilliant all along and I will gladly continue to use their services and highly recommend them.

I cannot thank the manager and his staff for the tremendous service they provided when caring for my elderly mother. The process of organising the care was seamless and very professional from start to beginning. The staff that came to look after my mother's needs were outstanding, making her feel safe
and reassured. My mother used to look forward to seeing her carers as they engaged with her on her level making her laugh and smile whilst going about their duties.
I would wholeheartedly recommend him and his team for anybody who is looking for help with care for an elderly relative.

I engaged Home Instead three months ago to help provide care for my elderly parents, both of whom have dementia. From our very first meeting I have been impressed and reassured by the whole team. I feel that I am dealing with human beings who engage with my parents as individuals, not employees who
are reading from a script. All my queries and requests have been attended to promptly and effectively, with the patience and flexibility that are so necessary when dealing with dementia. My parents immediately took to their carer, and as their needs increase I am confident that Home Instead will be able to help them remain in their own house for the longest possible time.

From the outset, Home Instead have been very helpful. I enquired at 11 different care providers without success. Enquiry number 12 was Home Instead. The manager listened to what we needed and visited my husband in the hospital to assess his needs and said they could help us. We were very relieved.
We
have a team of 4 carers, all of which are very good. We have one visit a day in the morning to help my husband getting out of bed, personal care and dressing. They will do anything else required such as changing bed linen, taking the rubbish out and sometimes vacuuming. We certainly would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for kind and compassionate care.

My brother's health and mental health has been getting worse recently and has resulted in admission to hospital for a month. Extra care has been put in place, to allow him to go home. Many thanks to all Home Instead staff who have worked tirelessly to help and us now he is at home.

Home Instead are outstanding, we had the name given to us by my sister-in-law who had worked with them. If I am really honest I often wonder how true these reviews are... I am personally happy to be contacted by anyone who wants to speak to me to see it's not a false review. We (my sister and I) cannot
speak highly enough about the three lovely carers who attend to Dad three times a day, we get the hourly update via an app only we can see which believe you me is worth its weight in gold. They dealt with a problem we had with Dad on a Sunday whilst she was out on a family shopping trip, the service is second to none. To say Home Instead is a professional service with a very personal touch is my way of describing this - 'must use carers'.

In June 2020 we realised that my husband, who had slight dementia, needed help with personal care. He could hold a sensible conversation but didn't have the patience to shower, shave etc. We researched and found Home Instead. They came and met us to find the right sort of care and carers. They allocated
three carers, made sure we always had someone who we knew and had met in advance. All were caring and professional and my husband really looked forward to their visits.
My husband died in 2021 and I have continued with the Home Instead carers as home helps. My own health has deteriorated so I now also have some personal care. Two of the original carers plus two more, all really professional and caring. I wouldn't want a stranger coming into my home so, in exceptional circumstances, if none of the usual team are available then someone from the management team visits.
I can thoroughly recommend Home Instead Wakefield for their kindness, hardwork, reliability and helpfulness.

We were dealing with an urgent situation and having received recommendations by word of mouth regarding Home Instead it was with some trepidation we contacted them being total strangers to this care scenario. On initial contact by phone, we were dealt with by a very friendly and helpful member of staff
who speedily arranged an appointment for their care manager to visit us to discuss our care needs. That meeting enabled us to work out what was required and how our needs could be met. Very quickly we had a plan in place with the same carers which enabled our 100-year-old mother to rapidly settle into a supportive routine with which she felt comfortable. It gave us peace of mind and a clear plan of how to progress going forward. As time has gone on it has enabled us to feel reassured with the fantastic care and attention provided by our team of carers all of whom go above and beyond. We would have no hesitation in recommending Wakefield Home Instead.

My lovely Mum has Home Instead carers for home help and some personal care. I live 200 miles away and it is great to know she is in such capable hands.
Recently my Mum suffered with some ill health. Being so far away and working full time I was not able to be with her as much as I liked. On one
occasion I spoke to Mum and realised she was really suffering but putting a brave face on things just so that I didn't worry! It was not a day for a usual Home Instead visit but I called the office and asked if there was any chance of someone checking on her. Within half an hour one of her usual carers was on site, had called the GP and made sure of a home visit and updated the office on the situation who then let me know. On a couple of other occasions during her illness I had the same service. Mum is now diagnosed and has been treated and is much better and I cannot thank the team enough for the care we received.
