Blue River Home Care focuses on delivering truly person-centered care, personal care, washing, dressing, helping with housekeeping, shopping, cooking, companionship and management of medication, amongst other care duties. They provide Specialist Dementia Care, End of life care and specialist care for people suffering from stroke and other medical conditions requiring specialist care.

Blue River Home Care provides Home from Hospital support and can assess care needs while patients are still in the hospital, prepare everything essential for safe discharge and transfer of care and start providing the care package on the day of the discharge.

My mother started using Blue River Care two years ago, since then the carers have been excellent. In the beginning, she was a little bit easier to care for, but as her Parkinsons got more problematic, they were still very attentive and caring. During the last two months when her health deteriorated,
everything was still being done to help my mum feel comfortable in her own home and the care was excellent and they liaised with me accordingly. I and my family want to thank everyone for all their help and compassion towards my mother.

When my mother's health took a serious turn in December 2020, I was met with calm and reassurance when Blue River answered my phone call for help. The company were able to act immediately, and live-in care was provided that same day. The office and I worked together for a year to ensure my mother's
health and happiness. Blue River are passionate about my mother's well-being and also support me in any way that they can.

They have provided an excellent and professional service and maintain their high standards throughout. Mum's carer is an exceptional carer, extremely reliable, has a big joyous personality, interacts and chats effortlessly throughout her stay, which uplifts my mum's spirits. Faced with many challenges,
she has proved to be professional, shown my mum care and respect and most of all maintained my mum's dignity. I’m also reassured that every time I phone, someone always answers the phone promptly and deals with my enquiry effectively. I would highly praise Mum's carer and the manager for their dedication and commitment to the well-being of my mother.

I can't thank the manager and her team enough for taking over the care for our terminally ill mother and father who has Dementia. The carer is so hands-on and she cares for both parents very very well. Nothing is a problem for her and you don't have to ask for anything because she is so hands-on.
She really is an Angel.
As for the manager, she keeps in touch with you and is full of information and is willing to help you with any queries you have. The Company goes way beyond the call of duty.
If anyone is thinking of using this Company do not hesitate they are 100% professional and willing to help with anything. They truly are a godsend.
I can't thank them enough xx

Needed a night carer for my 88-year-old sister-in-law for end of life care. Obviously, this was a very stressful time but Blue River we’re amazing. The very compassionate and lovely staff both in the office and in the home. The male carer was very respectful to an elderly lady in the house on her own
with a strange man. They quickly became friends and we were so grateful that she had him there with her in her last moments. Although we only used their services for a short while, I would definitely recommend them to anyone. A credit to the profession. Xx

Blue River Home Care have a caring attitude looking after my father's needs. Ten months ago, they took over from another care provider we had lots of issues with, and the difference was clear from day one. My father's carer is a true professional at making sure he is well, his health is monitored, and
all his support is tailored to his needs. Also, his carer and the office are very good at informing us of any concerns they have with my father's health. We are very happy that have found them and would not hesitate to recommend the company to everyone looking for care.

This company has exceeded my expectations. I started with Blue River care 2 years ago following a fall and Hospital discharge. They arranged two carers at each visit 4 times a day every day and all that time they’ve kept me Covid safe. I was in a very difficult situation, recovering from a broken hip
but they have spent a great deal of time and effort to make what was a challenging case a very stress-free and enjoyable experience. No matter the challenges of Covid pandemic, the carers have been fantastic with excellent support from the care managers and office team. Communication with the office is outstanding. I cannot recommend them any higher.

A great service, we needed a live-in carer for my dad when my mum went into hospital. We were put in touch with Home Care who were able to provide a carer at short notice. They were efficient prompt and thorough in their responses and found a suitable carer straight away. The carer was kind and supportive
of our mum and fitted in really well to her routine. We would recommend the company and would use them again should the need arise.

From the moment our mother's carer arrived mum was very happy with her. Mum has dementia and it has been a difficult time for her and us all, having several carer's over months and years from other companies. Mother's carer lives -in, and this not only offers us constant reassurance that she is being
well looked after but supports her being able to still live an independent life in her own home. Not only does the carer treat mum with dignity, in relation to her personal care and general wellbeing, she keeps the house spotless and entertains mum, and makes her laugh! We are so lucky to have her, as family members we all have a very good relationship with her too. She is very professional, trustworthy and a ray of sunshine to have around! I also want to thank the Manager of Blue River too. She is extremely warm, caring and professional. Nothing is too much trouble and she has a good team around her. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this caring and professional company.

I am extremely pleased with Blue River. I have complex care needs and need 24 / 7 care which the company has been providing to me for the last 2 years. The office and carers have gone far and beyond to ensure continuity of care and to ensure I am safe, well looked after and have a good quality of life.
They are professional and caring, they monitor my health and take me to various hospitals to attend appointments, they do everything efficiently and in a way that matters to me. I am very lucky with my care company and would highly recommend it.

I just want to say a big thank you to the manager and the carers who have been providing care for my elderly mother who has Dementia.
From the very first time I met the manager and she carried out an assessment on my mother, I was confident that they could provide the specialist care that someone with
dementia needs.
Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are so kind and helpful!
In the first week of care, they even arranged a hairdresser and a manicurist to give mum some much-needed pampering which she really enjoyed and responded well to the attention.
They are working with mum to get her in a routine and also have special visits to stimulate her with various activities.
I am so pleased that I have a company I can trust with mum's care.

I cannot thank the manager and staff of Blue River enough for the fantastic care provided to our mother. The manager has gone out of her way to ensure continuity and suitability of care and to support the carer in every way possible. The day the current live-in carer arrived she was met by an ambulance
crew and immediately appraised herself of the situation and got 'stuck in'. She took time to get to know Mum and her ways as well as her needs making Mum feel like a friend rather than her charge. They quickly developed a rapport with the carer lifting her spirits when she is low - like dancing and singing for her, making her laugh. She ensures Mum is always beautifully clean and tidily clean and well-fed. Nothing is ever too much as her safety and well being are of paramount importance to her even though Mum is constantly in and out of bed all night long the carer is there immediately to ensure Mum is safe.

My mum recently had a fall and was admitted to hospital. The Carer arrived at the scene and supported mum whilst the paramedics prepared to take mum to hospital .
Whilst mum was in hospital the manager of Blue River provided information and support so that we could put the right care package in place
for mum. I asked to have increased visits for mum in the morning to transition her from hospital to her home. This was agreed on the spot there was no hesitation. I can call the manager any time and I will receive a response, if I need to discuss a topic the door is always open. The carers and the manager give an individual service to each person. I leave notes and this is acknowledged and followed. I would recommend this care at home.

Blue River carers were recommended to me by a friend who had 24/7 care with them. I only needed a few hours a day and had too much trouble with other companies over the years. My experience with Blue River was totally different. From the very first contact with their office, I was impressed by their
efficiency and knowledge and for the last 4 years they've never let me down. Carers are very reliable, calm, kind and considerate to me, with a lovely personality and very professional. They help me with everything I need help with and keep my bungalow really clean and tidy, which is important to me. We go out or play Scrabble together, they're keeping me occupied and I am very grateful. My carers are now my family. Thank you enormously.

Earlier last year 2021 I summited a review on Blue River. I couldn't praise the manager and her team enough. Sadly my cousin passed away in early December, and again the manager and her team went the extra mile, trying to help my cousin stay safe and in his own home, but in the end we had to let him
go into hospital where he sadly passed away.
I am happy to say to anyone needing a carer for themselves or a family member, go to Blue River.

Blue River have provided live-in Care for my dear Mum since January 2020. From July 2019 she had been in and out of Hospital and in between Hospital stays had spent time in Care. She was in a poor state when I decided to bring her home to her own house with a Full-time Carer and I thank God that I made
that decision. I cannot imagine what would have happened if she had stayed where she was, given what has occurred over the last 21 months. She has thrived since through the loving care and attention provided by her Carer. Her carer has always been so supportive and any problems that have arisen have always been dealt with swiftly and without any disruption to Mum. I would say that if you are thinking about Live-in Care for your loved one, but are worried about taking that step don't be! I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you so much to the Blue River Team. Since we moved Mum's care to Blue River we have seen a drastic improvement in both her care and her mental well-being. The staff cannot do enough to make Mum comfortable and most importantly they treat Mum as a person and not just another visit. Every aspect of the service we have received from Blue

My Aunt who is 92 years of age has been receiving home care from Blue River Home Care for 23 months now and we are very pleased with all aspects of the service we have received. No matter what situation we have been faced with we have always received a full and exceedingly helpful and timely response.
Lots of extra effort and time has been given without being asked to pay more for the service. I have no hesitation in fully recommending Blue River to anyone. We have always been able to make contact quickly and easily when needed and the standard of the careers is excellent in all respects.
