Blue River Home Care focuses on delivering truly person-centered care, personal care, washing, dressing, helping with housekeeping, shopping, cooking, companionship and management of medication, amongst other care duties. They provide Specialist Dementia Care, End of life care and specialist care for people suffering from stroke and other medical conditions requiring specialist care.

Blue River Home Care provides Home from Hospital support and can assess care needs while patients are still in the hospital, prepare everything essential for safe discharge and transfer of care and start providing the care package on the day of the discharge.

Blue River Home Care is proud to have the capacity of starting a new care package within 24 hours of receiving an enquiry. They go the extra mile of providing information & advice on customer's entitlement to NHS, CCG and Local Authority funded care as well as advice on other benefits. I can not thank all the wonderful ladies enough who cared for my mum in her last weeks of life. Myself and my family could not have done this difficult time without their care and support. My mum was so comfortable and I know felt secure knowing they were by her side when we couldn’t be there. Their
support allowed us to take rest knowing our mum was being looked after with love and compassion and did not have to fear being alone. We will always be forever grateful to you all. Thank you.

Blue River provide care for my Mum at home. It was difficult times for all of us but they helped us all get through. The best part was the flexibility that they offered, allowing us to adjust the care, to my mother's wishes over her last few days. I would highly recommend them.

Blue River Home Care is an amazing group of carers who go above and beyond to make sure their clients are extremely well looked after. My mother had vascular dementia, and they gave me time out at a very difficult time, as I was Mum’s main carer.
I am so grateful for the help the manager and the team
provided, which was always in an extremely professional manner.

Blue River Home Care provided 24-hour care for my mother during the last week of her life. We were very impressed with their attention to detail and care, nothing was too much trouble. The carers looked after my mother with huge compassion and professionalism, and the family are very grateful for all

Blue River have been caring for my parents in their own home for about 18 months. It's a very difficult situation: Dad is significantly paralysed after a stroke and Mum has severe dementia. The carers have been effective, kind, and unbelievably patient despite all the difficulties, and the agency
has been very responsive and communicative. As well as calm and efficient management of the day to day routine, unexpected problems have with dealt with without turning them into crises, and special events such as birthdays and anniversaries have been given a real sense of occasion. I regard the carers and the registered manager at the agency as friends and feel that my parents could not be in better hands.

Care was provided for my mother over several months. Initially after discharge from hospital when we thought it might be only for a short period. The care was always excellent and adaptable. When it became apparent that care would be needed for longer it was provided without difficulty. The carers were
all excellent and gave compassionate and competent care. My mother had care overnight and in the morning to allow her to get dressed and have a shower. It was very helpful for her and we found it a great help. The care at night allowed me to get some sleep and we managed well for the rest of the day. I knew that if more help was needed it would be given. I found the manager very helpful. If someone had difficulty coming and was going to be late she would inform me. Similarly, I could contact her at any time by messaging and she would reply.
I really found the care given a huge help and will always be grateful. We managed to keep mum at home as she wanted in her final months.

I cannot praise enough the outstanding service. Blue River Home Care has taken excellent care of my parents for the last year. My Mum and Dad never wanted carers but then surprisingly from a few hours a week support they wanted 24/7. The company provided live in care often going above and beyond to
make sure my parents were safe and happy.
Without exception all visiting and live in carers have been fantastic ambassadors for the company, so dedicated, compassionate and reliable, always treating my Mum and Dad with dignity and respect.
The office staff and senior management have been always available for consultation and support not just to my parents, the whole family but to the carers too and we all have become like family.
We would recommend Blue River Home Care wholeheartedly.

The staff at Blue River are very caring and supportive and able to quickly change to our family needs. The owner always responds to requests for extra help when needed. The care that has been required has gone from two visits per day for both our parents after hospital admission, sadly after our Mums
death to full-time live-in care for Dad.
The current live-in carer has quickly become a member of our family, with the devastating effects of the current Covid-19 virus; we are sure that she would do anything to keep our dad safe and well, this is a great comfort to the whole family as we all live over 100 miles away and are unable to even visit so this gives peace of mind in these very difficult times.

I felt that Blue River were very keen to fully understand my grandfather's needs in great detail. They were always willing to listen and respond to feedback and were easy to contact at all times of the day. My grandad said that his carer was gentle and always asked if anything else needed to be done.
Blue River supported me when I realised that my grandfather needed more visits and were able to accommodate this. This kind of work is difficult and requires sensitivity, and I felt confident that they could be trusted.

We have used Blue River since December 2019 following my mother's premature discharge from hospital, just before Christmas. We were provided with the hospital arranged care visits but it was immediately obvious that mum needed more than this due to her weakness which made her prone to falls. I phoned
around numerous agencies who had already set up their Christmas rotas and could not provide support. Blue River visited mum immediately and set up a local carer that night. They were very responsive to our needs changing to 24/7 and hourly visits immediately as required. They have a great network of experienced local carers who are carefully selected to suit client needs. They maintain carer consistency to avoid too much change.
The managing director is very experienced in the industry and has been a great help and support to my family throughout these very challenging few months. She has genuine concern for her clients and their welfare and goes the extra mile to provide an outstanding service.

I thoroughly recommend Blue River Care. They stepped in at very short notice and provided exemplary 24-hour care for my mother when she discharged from hospital, and then ongoing day care.
Communication was easy - thorough notes made, and the staff were all excellent.

My father was a client of Blue River Home Care for less than a year but in that time he received an excellent service from them. Initially, he was very sceptical about having carers but within a couple of weeks he warmed to them and really looked forward to the company and the chat about football,
cricket or whatever was the current topic in the news. For my part, if dad was happy, I was happy and I knew that if I had any cause for concern I could always telephone/text and would get a response. Sadly, my father passed away in December following major surgery but I am so pleased that in his final months he was under the care of Blue River, his best interests were always uppermost in their dealings with him.
