Home Straight is in its fifteenth year of trading, providing support to people in their own homes.

The team were rated 'Good' in all areas in their first CQC inspection in May 2018 and work closely with Rutland County Council, Social services, local GPs and other professionals.

The largest private care company in Rutland with an exemplary reputation that has been built over the last 14 years.

Home Straight provides bespoke premium care using a carefully selected team. They recognise that every client is different with unique needs. The care is always person-centred, giving them respect, choice and quality of life.

It is critical that the care provided is reliable and trustworthy, providing support not only for the client but for the family as well.

The team are all DBS checked, wear fresh PPE with each client and for each task. The training the Care team undergo is rigorous and thorough and regular quality checks are carried out.

There is an infection control policy and staff are kept updated on any changes to guidelines with regards to Covid-19.

Although Home Straight Partnership are an extremely professional home care service they are still able to deliver a tailored and personal service at the same time. It is quite obvious that each carer has been hand picked and they all seem to be extremely happy to be part of the team. Nothing seemed
to be too much trouble for them, always cheery and my auntie looked forward to their visit enormously.
My aunties health sadly declined rapidly and Home Straight were amazing at accommodating our ever increasing needs. I would recommend this company without any hesitation. I can't thank them enough for the help they gave to both my auntie and myself at such a difficult time.

I received excellent service. All the carers were friendly and well trained and were conscientious in providing everything I needed. I also thought that behind the scenes, the management was competent with the logistics of organising the rotas.

A few months ago, the existing care provider for my mother ran into staffing difficulties and had to cease providing care at short notice. This left us in a very difficult situation. We were lucky enough to find Home Straight. From the outset, they have been great! They understood the problem facing
us and went out of their way to find a workable short-term solution until a more permanent one could be put in place. Their assessment of my mother's needs was very professional and thorough. During the first few weeks of providing care, they regularly checked to make sure everything was working smoothly and made minor changes when needed. All the staff we have met have been professional, caring and kind. We are very happy with the service they provide.

All the carers are lovely and chatty. They are very efficient in carrying out their tasks. Home Straight Partnership has been very accommodating on mums needs. All very professional and helpful. They have always managed to cover the care that mum needs. I am very appreciative of what they do for mum.

Staff are friendly and willing to help with Mums needs. Timings for visits are on time and contact is always made if prior problems have arisen. The family are very pleased with all the support provided.

From my experience from the beginning of the year to now the care provided by Home Straight has been excellent. The staff at head office have always responded quickly and have done their utmost to accommodate my brother's needs. The carers have been great, with obvious consideration of their client's
needs. I am unable to help as I live over two hours away but I am confident that my brother is in good hands with Home Straight. I am so pleased that we found them.

Home Straight has been proving a care service for my 100-year-old father for several years. At first, all he needed was someone to help him run his house and prepare meals as he lives alone. However, in recent months we have had to increase the level of care due to his failing mobility so now, in addition
to the daily visits, he has a sleeping night-time carer. Throughout this time the service has always been excellent and above expectations. The carers are all very proficient, friendly and empathetic. My father was always against someone living in his house at night but now says he cannot live without them. The carers do not just provide a care service for my father, they engage with him, and provide comfort, support and reassurance when needed which relieves the loneliness of living on his own. He genuinely looks forward to their visits and I could not recommend the company and the carers more highly.

I am very happy to write a review for Home Straight who have been supporting Mum for the last 20 months.
The care staff who have been kind, thoughtful, reliable and always good company for her and have on occasions 'gone beyond' to address a need as it arose. Regular communication from the careers
is via the online notes system, this is really helpful especially as I live quite a distance from Mum and allows me to be in touch without interrupting the care call daily.
The administrator of the carer rota is a wonderful soul who has always been able to provide support when we have needed to make changes.
The management of Home Straight have been very helpful and approachable as Mum's needs have increased over time, always putting her and her support at the centre of things.
I would definitely recommend the agency to another family who may need support for an elderly relative.
My initial contact with them was via recommendation from a family friend - good news travels.

Home Straight came highly recommended. They have been wonderful and we couldn’t have coped without them. They look after my parents who are 90 & 95 years old, each with quite separate needs. The team include the same group of people, so we all get to know each other, which makes a huge difference. They
are caring, chatty, considerate and have good practical knowledge, experience and oodles of common sense. If there’s a problem, it’s sorted, but they keep me updated every step of the way via a phone call and also through an app, which records each visit. They make a huge difference to my parent's health, well-being and quality of life. For our family who provide care and support, we get a huge piece of mind and know my parents are safe and cared for when we’re not there. A huge thank you!

My mum is ninety and rather frail. She is determined to stay in her own home and Home Straight Partnership has facilitated that choice, since March 2022. I have been really impressed by the excellent and professional care they provide and they have given me peace of mind with regard to my mum’s welfare.
Home Straight have been flexible and responsive and there is always someone at the end of the phone should I need support. I am happy to give them a 5-star review and would recommend them without hesitation.

My husband and I have found Home Straight to offer excellent care to my mother who has Alzheimer's and my father who is my mother's carer. We especially like that the same two carers have been involved in Mum's care right from the start which has helped her enormously when overcoming the embarrassment
of personal care. The carers are generous, attentive, reliable and always have helpful advice to give when a new problem arises.
I would fully recommend Home Straight to anyone thinking about home care.

We have been with Home Straight for several years and can't recommend them too highly. I feel that their aim is, to not only provide the best care possible for my husband, but to support me too. We have the same carers every week which is important for someone with dementia. We've tried different options.
When I leave my husband with Home Straight, he's relaxed and chatting, with others he clings to me and asks me to not be long.

Homes straight cared for Mum over the last year (2021) before we finally moved her into a care home in December. Throughout the time we engaged Home Straight they were excellent. They have high-quality competent staff; an excellent back office team; a caring, courteous and compassionate approach to
their work. We couldn’t have been happier with the care and support they gave to my mother. Would highly recommend them without hesitation.

My experience with Home Straight has been mixed. The service they have provided has ranged from excellent to poor. One carer my Dad has had has been excellent the rest have been average to poor. Jobs not completed when asked and a lack of communication. For instance, one carer could not gain access
and went home. My Dad is deaf and disabled with dementia. There is a key box for them to let themselves in. My Dad could have fallen or died. Nobody alerted me or did anything to find out what was wrong. They removed my Dad’s care today without notice or adequate explanation as to why. They are unreliable and difficult to deal with. The management is patronising and unhelpful.

Care standards are exceptionally high and the carers are efficient and friendly. They take the time to know their clients and certainly seem to form a genuine bond with them, which in our case is reciprocated.
When the parent not being cared for was found in a desperate state early one morning, the
carer visiting stepped in without question and did what needed to be done, making contact with me once the situation was stable enough, seeking agreement as to the next course of action, which we agreed was further medical assistance. 999 called, the Home Straight Team stepped into action and provided a relay of constant care to my Father until I could get myself away from London and drive the 90 miles to take over the constant care that my father requires. I really do not know what would have happened if the Carer involved hadn't gone the extra mile to provide the most needed and tender support when she did. Not forgetting that the rest of the team juggled commitments to cover too. Thank you.

The carers that come to Mum hit the spot perfectly between friendly and professional. We were reluctant to employ someone to look after Mum because we felt they would not provide the high levels of care we had been doing as a family. We were wrong and they have been excellent from the outset. Any issues
with Mum’s health and well-being are very quickly brought to our attention.
I would thoroughly recommend any of the four ladies who look after Mum.

I have found all the carers very able, polite and efficient. They all seem well versed in the use of the various types of equipment that we have had to use progressively as my husband's ability to move has decreased. They always ensure he is happy with any new item used and is also made comfortable
before they leave. I am always provided with a 'client rota' sheet so I know who to expect and timings. We have both been made to feel relaxed in their care and could not ask for any better attention.

We started Home Straight in 2008, providing support to people in their own homes. As the business has grown and our clients have grown older we have developed with them to provide personal care, and companionship and have specialised in dementia support.


I spent several years working in HR, Training, Marketing and business development.


I’ve always believed that organisations succeed when there is a happy, well-trained team in place.
My career has always centred around supporting and nurturing people.


I founded the company with Georgie and the two of us began by helping clients directly, cleaning, cooking, gardening and companionship. As Home Straight has grown our roles have changed.


As Managing Director, I am responsible for the business strategy ensuring that we have the right skills, knowledge and investment in place to serve the growing needs of our clients.


Tony, my husband, and I between us have lots of children and grandchildren, 2 dogs and a very old house that we are renovating. When I do get spare time, I like to try and keep fit we run a couple of times a week and practice pilates and yoga. Reading is a great escape for me and I am a member of two book clubs. I love cooking and spending time with my family, friends and my two dogs Digby an Italian Spinone and Twiggy a Weimaraner.


What do I love about my job? The people. Knowing that I have made a positive difference in someone’s life.
Sorting out problems and dealing with the day-to-day challenges that emerge in the world of care. Networking and building knowledge keeps me motivated and care is such an interesting line of work.

Nurturing, making the tea and having a jolly good laugh with my teammates.


My friends would describe me as funny, clever, focused, kind, hardworking, non-judgmental, constant, stubborn, easy-going, welcoming, forgiving, empathic, and beautiful inside and out!! (Stubborn was a shock to me)!

I grew up in Oakham and live here with my family. I enjoy everything Rutland has to offer and I am a regular visitor to the nature reserves and local events. Living here and knowing the area well is extremely beneficial.


I set up Home Straight with my friend Stevie after being made redundant. My background is in hairdressing, hospitality and care both within a residential setting and in-home care. I enjoy helping people to feel better about themselves.


Running my own business fitted in well with bringing up my children and we have carried this ethos on with our staff.


Providing person-centred care with a carefully selected carer and watching our clients blossom is what makes this work a joy.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, travelling and walking my little dog.


I am very proud of our business and what we have achieved.

I am the Director of Care, a Registered Manager and I manage the care side of the business. I have a background in care and I joined Home Straight 6 years ago. I really enjoy the challenges my role brings and seeing the difference the care and support make in a person's life.


It is my responsibility within Home Straight to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. I work closely with clients, family members and health professionals. To provide a very person-centred service.


I am passionate about ensuring that we provide the highest standard of care possible.


I enjoy keeping fit, walking, working on my allotment and spending time with my family of grown-up children.


I have taken on a number of personal challenges such as wing walking for charity and more recently I completed the Loros Tower Run in Leicester with some of our team. I am always ready for a challenge.

I joined Home Straight originally as a carer and now I manage the rotas. If you call us to discuss your invoice or rota it is often me you will speak to.
