The services are provided by Care Professionals who are trained to provide a high-quality care service and who are employed for compassion and professionalism.

Care Professionals are carefully matched with clients and provide a minimum of one-hour calls allowing them the time to complete daily tasks whilst also building strong and lasting relationships with the clients.

We looked at all of the alternatives for Mum including residential care, live-in help, etc but one of the services offered by Home Instead (Northampton) fitted the bill perfectly. Daily contact to help with shopping, cooking and cleaning, as well as the all-important mental stimulation through contact
and interaction. Too many different carers to start with wasn't ideal but now that the routine has settled into two principal carers, my mum is more than happy with the service offered.

I can fault the service. My father's carers have often gone the extra mile. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The staff particularly three of them who deal with Dad mostly, are excellent. I recommend Home Instead to all who ask about them.

We found Home Instead (Northampton) to be very thorough in their pre-treatment set-up. We appreciate their attention to our mother's background/history, which enables a personal approach as well as clinical care. They are attentive to any issues that may arise, which helps our peace of mind, and we
are confident that Mum is in safe hands.

My aunt has been using Home Instead (Northampton) since her Alzheimer’s diagnosis last October. She lives alone and is visited daily for medication witnessing, general tidying and cleaning, trips to the shops and garden centre and general companionship. All the ladies are kind, caring and very flexible,
accommodating trips to the doctors and assisting with broken door locks, even organising a locksmith. The ladies ensure she has fresh food and prepare a hot meal and drink each day. Home Instead (Northampton) have made suggestions to assist my aunt, such as a whiteboard where they record who is coming when and what activity they have planned - shopping, keep-fit, etc. I live 40 miles away, so their visits give me peace of mind that my aunt is safe and well, and their daily notes, accessed through the app keeps me updated on what she’s done. Their visits mean she has been able to continue living independently, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Home Instead provide my Dad with excellent care. They have been looking after him for 3 years now and we are very grateful for all that they do. Always on time and very caring and compassionate. His team really are amazing. Without them it wouldn’t be possible for Dad to stay at home. Office staff are
always at the end of the phone to discuss any concerns and to offer advice. We believe Dad is getting the best care and we are very happy with Home Instead. Many Thanks to each and every one who looks after Dad.

Home Instead have been giving excellent care to my Dad (in his 80s with Parkinsons disease) for 2 years. The Carers visit my Dad for an hour each day. The work they cover within one hour is a miracle: check medication, make lunch/dinner, help with household chores, taking him to medical appointments,
help with shopping, and as my Dad is a gardener: help with seeding and watering plants. The carers are polite and sociable and this has made the process of integrating their services into my Dad’s daily life easy. Home Instead were employed, when Mum was ill and eventually passed away. I cannot describe in words how valuable and vital the Carers were to my Dad during this time. Their visits were essential to assist Dad through the grief process and a severely difficult time in his life. Our family does not live near Dad, and Home Instead has given our family peace of mind to know that Dad is being checked on and looked after by their fantastic staff/Carers.

I would like to thank the office staff and team of carers who have supported and cared for my mother since February 2020. They provided wonderful care and never once missed a day, even during the very difficult Covid lockdowns. Their dedication to maintaining care has been so appreciated by Mum and
by us the family. The office staff are always quick to respond to any changes in care or when medication needs to be given and would telephone if there were any concerns or queries.
I recommend Home Instead to all of our friends and indeed our neighbour now has Home Instead carers every day on our recommendation.

My mother has been using Home Instead for over 12 months, and the service has been life-changing. Regular (daily) trips out from a team who feel more like friends than caregivers. Reliable and regular care, and daily updates via the app, leave me feeling much happier that Mum has a busy, active, fulfilling
life. The office is easy to get hold of and responds quickly. Really, it has been transformative for both Mum and myself. I regularly recommend others in a similar situation to contact them to see if/how they can help. My only regret is that I didn't contact them earlier.

I cannot speak highly enough of Home Instead from the office support team and my mother's kind carers. The service is excellent, and nothing is too much trouble. Their communication is very good, informing me of any concerns. My mum enjoys all of their company when they see her twice a day, and they
take time to chat with her. They ensure Mum is washed and dressed, lunch is made for her and general tidying up and washing. I have peace of mind, knowing Mum is being well cared for, as I do not live near her. I would highly recommend Home Instead so pleased they were recommended to me.

Excellent service and quality of staff who supported my wife during this service agreement. It enabled me to play golf on one day per week. Personal circumstances changed the need for support from Home Instead during the upcoming autumn and winter months.

I cannot speak highly enough of Home Instead, both the thorough and careful organisation and the wonderful kind carers. My mum, now 97, has had to move into a residential home owing to medical events but Home Instead enabled her to enjoy her independence for much longer than would otherwise have been
the case. She enjoyed the carers' visits and they encouraged her to maintain an appropriate diet and good self-care. I would recommend them fully.

From the very first phone call to make the initial enquiries, to the introductions to the carers, I found everyone so friendly and helpful. Dad loved his visits from his lunch ladies. Just as important as ensuring he had lunch was the company. Every member of the team from reception to managers to carers
all communicated so well. Happily recommend Home Instead to anyone.

Home Instead responded very promptly to my request for help which was particularly helpfulas I was on a very tight timetable.
My husband was not completely committed to having a person in while I was out unaware of how anxious he can get if left for longer than a couple of hours. He does not acknowledge
his dementia so what has been really promising is that the workers coming in have managed to make meaningful relationships with him already despite all his misgivings. At the end of last week he said that he had enjoyed time with the carers and that perhaps everything was going to work out alright. I put this down to the skill of the carers in working with people with dementia.

Home Instead provided an amazing level of care and friendship to my elderly, disabled step mum. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to support us as a family in times of crisis when my dad sadly passed away. The carers and managers helped us both to survive this trauma and provided
extra care at very short notice when it was required in an emergency. They seem to have an extraordinary level of patience.
They were considerate of myself as a carer as well as ensuring my step mum was safe and happy. The end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 has been a very difficult time for us as a family and all the staff at home Instead have helped to get us through that, I cannot thank them all enough.

Home Instead provide general support and companionship to our elderly sister now in early stages of dementia. Our sister is supported by a kind and caring team who she regards as friends not carers. Critically the team ensure our sister eats properly three times a day, and has outings to shop, socialise
or just walk in the local park on a regular basis. The carers take her for vaccinations, appointments at the local GP, and coordinate visits as needed from occupational therapists. Nothing is too much trouble! Should unexpected problems arise we are consulted so that additional support can be actioned to meet a need without delay.
This level of care ensures that our sister can continue to live happily and safely in her home environment for the foreseeable future.

Home Instead (Northampton) has proved to be invaluable to us all. My cousin lives a good distance away from the rest of the family. She employed Home Instead following a stay in hospital two years ago, just weeks before the first Covid 19 lockdown. Since then her carers have shown concern, care, and
competence as they look after her needs each day, enabling her to live, as she wishes, in her own home. We, her family, keep in contact regularly by phone but to know that someone is with her each day is a great comfort, and we can use the app to check on how she is coping. The carers help her with personal care, meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and will shop for her if the need arises. They also find time to chat as they work - a very valuable activity especially when someone lives alone. We have full confidence in all of the staff at Home Instead, carers and admin staff alike, and have often recommended them to others we know in need of care.

Emma Bennett

My name is Emma Bennett, I have 32 years of experience working as a nurse in the NHS. I have worked for Home Instead since 2018, which means I have 36 years experience of working with people across all age groups.


I now work with the Care Professional Team at Home Instead where I share the role of training and the development of our Care Professionals and key players. This includes supporting them with their inductions and then ongoing support and training. My main role is ensuring and maintaining compliance with Care Professional development and mandatory training, to both Home Instead and CQC standards.

Job Title: Client Experience Team

My name is Tina Broadbent. I started with Home Instead in February 2018 and have been in care for about 4 years prior. Upon leaving school I trained as a Chef and worked in the catering sector for just over 10 years. I went back to work in the hotel catering trade for 9-years at the Walnut Tree Inn. During my time there I got chatting with a local customer who was looking for care for his Daughter with complex needs. I loved my time being her PA.


This gave me a completely new angle on care in the community from young adults to our ageing society that want to remain at home. I came to Home Instead after working for another care company and I haven’t looked back. I started as a Care Professional out in the community and had my own lovely clients. I quickly got recognised in the office for other useful qualities, and I’m now full-time in the office.


I’m always thankful to Home Instead for believing in me and seeing my potential.


Outside of work, I have two daughters and my Husband. I enjoy cooking for friends and family. I also enjoy the Gym, walking with the family and the many Dogs we have between us all.

Hannah Rootes

Hi, my name is Hannah Rootes. I have worked for Home Instead Northampton since August 2020 and have recently joined the Client Experience Team. A big part of my role is that I go and meet new clients and create their Care Plans so that we and our Care Professionals can provide the best level of care possible. When I do this my focus is always, on what our clients want to achieve and what is important to them- our clients are at the centre of everything I do. I have lived in Northampton all my life and have enjoyed growing up here. In my life, I have seen all aspects of care, where before working for Home Instead I cared for the family. Due to this, I use all of my experience as a family member of a loved one needing care and as a Care Professional to ensure all of our Clients receive the best care we can provide.


When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my daughter. I also love to read good books and go for a scenic walk where I can take some photographs with my DSLR camera.

Job Title: Recruitment Manager

I have been in healthcare for 18 years and have loved every minute of it. I have worked with children, young adults, and the elderly, all within Care Homes and Domiciliary settings.


I started work in Domiciliary care as a Carer, upon returning from maternity leave I was promoted to a Senior. I later progressed to being a Trainer, Scheduler, Deputy Manager and now Recruitment Manager with Home Instead.


I have only been at Home instead for just over a year and everyone is very welcoming, caring and passionate about what they do.


In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going camping, being outdoors and plenty of movie nights.
