My mother has been looked after by Home Instead since she had a fall in September 2020 and became severely disabled. Our family is very small and I live abroad, so we were totally dependent on a reliable, kind and professional care team. Home Instead has really exceeded all expectations. Nothing was
too much trouble. The carers were without exception kind, friendly and very good at their job, and I must really praise the office team for being available and supportive with a very "can do" approach at all times. Eventually, mother has become so frail and liable to falls that a care home with 24/7 care has become inevitable. However, up to this stage Home Instead went to enormous efforts to provide excellent care even at night for mother, plus carers coming in 4 times daily. We cannot thank the team and the office staff enough! They are really wonderful.

I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough. My 94-year-old mother was able to stay in her own home thanks to the care given by Home Instead caregivers. The small team that looked after her were so dependable and went that extra mile to keep her motivated. Her mental well-being was improved with the
stimulation they gave her, especially the sing songs she enjoyed. The office staff did a great job under very difficult Covid circumstances keeping us well informed with useful advice. a very well run organisation.

Home Instead took on the care of my much-loved father-in-law shortly after my mother-in-law died nearly five years ago. The small team of caregivers have become like family to him and their dedication and level of care has been exceptional. He has mild dementia and it is important for him to have familiar
faces and routine. Nothing is too much trouble for these caregivers, they genuinely care. In the office is another team of dedicated staff who support in every way they can, regularly reassessing to make sure the care package is still suitable and liaising with health care professionals. In recent weeks they have provided invaluable support to me in helping to resolve funding issues. I cannot recommend Home Instead more highly.

The Caregivers understand dignity, respect, kindness and support for the family.
Caring during end of life care for my mum, they are trained, courteous, punctual, have humour and skill in building relationships.
I couldn’t have kept Mum at home without them so I am very grateful that they stepped
up and took on the challenge.
The administration is so professional and with secure access, I could see who was coming as a caregiver, the time and read the care notes.
When we had a family crisis, Home Instead put together support for Mum that meant she could stay at home as was her wish.
We had a regular team of staff who always knew about Mums specific needs and wishes, this reassured me they saw her as an individual not as just another client as the previous two agencies had.
I will forever be indebted to them for helping me make it possible to care to the end.

Thank you so much, not a dry eye in the Home Instead HQ. It was an honour to care for your mum and keep her in her own home as per her wishes.
Don't be a stranger! And thank you for taking time to send gifts to the office, very thoughtful of you at such a difficult time,

Carers were very good, always there on time and looked after my mother-in-law well. They regularly updated the app on a daily basis which was helpful to keep us all informed on how she was doing and what she was up to.

Home Instead started caring for Nan mid August, when our family reached crisis point. After making my enquiry due to such excellent reviews, I was contacted promptly and a meeting was arranged at short notice. All of the staff based within the office are amazing! Professional yet very friendly. Home
Instead went out of their way to accommodate our needs for an urgent meeting to discuss Nan’s needs/preferences. I was overly impressed by their approach to providing consistency with allocating a small team of caregivers to Nan, so that she never comes face to face with a stranger. Nan has 3 wonderful ladies that rotate daily visits and she looks forward to their visits every day! All 3 ladies were introduced to Nan gradually so that she felt comfortable knowing each lady before they arrived. Nan has nothing but praise for her “lovely ladies” as she calls them. The app is amazing! A way for me to keep up to date with Nan’s visits and a log of all activities. Thank you, Home Instead.

Home Instead was highly recommended to me by my neighbour as they had cared for her mother who suffered from dementia until she sadly passed away last year.
One of the great thing about Home Instead is that they will only send the same few carers so that my dad and I are able to get to know them although
my dad does not remember their names he does remember faces enabling him to build a nice friendly rapport with the girls and also with myself.
Unfortunately this year I sadly lost my partner, we had been together for over 30 years and Home Instead were also able to help me with support during this time. I too would very highly recommend Home Instead as a very caring company that always seem to go that extra mile for their clients and their families

The service Home Instead provide is excellent the carers are kind and friendly with my parents who both have forms of dementia. The same small team visit my parents and this helps enormously with familiarity and consistency of care; I get feedback on each visit via an app, so I know if there are any
issues.

Caring, flexible, responsive, adaptable, professional, likeable and easy to work with.
They make it possible for Mother to remain in her home. Without them, this would not a workable option.
I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

I found Home Instead during a difficult transition period with my parents, who were struggling with their self-care at home. My father suffers from end-stage heart disease and my mother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, which threw their world into disarray. The social care that was visiting
their home was not sufficient and they were having a hard time grasping the concept of a caring relationship. Thanks to Home Instead, we were able to change that dynamic. A team of experienced, professional carers has worked closely to form a therapeutic relationship with both parents and within a fortnight they have learned to understand and appreciate the daily visiting support they now have in their home. I am eternally grateful to Home Instead and would not hesitate to recommend them as an ideal agency to any household.

The carers are hardworking, kind and compassionate. They provide excellent support enabling Dad to remain as independent as possible. Dad trusts, feels safe and comfortable with his carers. They respond to Dads needs and are flexible to his changing needs or how he is feeling. The management team seek
feedback and go out of their way to plan and accommodate any changes in Dads needs. Although reluctant to receive care initially he would now be lost without his carers.

We employed Home Instead (Northampton) after recommendation from a friend. From the initial conversations with the managers we were impressed by the professionalism of all the staff, both management and carers. My husband is receiving palliative care at home and requires constant care throughout the
night and a great deal of help during the daytime. The carers show compassion and competence in dealing with all his personal needs, including toileting which is most difficult. Also, they offer me assistance with general household duties such as cleaning, window cleaning and meals. Apart from the physical help, the social aspect of the care visits is invaluable, particularly in these times of Covid-19. The overnight care sitter is simply wonderful, enabling me to sleep in confidence that my husband is looked after. Everyone is trustworthy, caring and compassionate. Home Instead (Northampton) have made our situation so much more comfortable in every way.

I can't speak highly enough of Home Instead (Northampton). Every single member of staff is friendly, professional, always punctual and caring. The caregivers give Mum her medication which is complex. They take her shopping, cook meals, do all household tasks and even top up the bird feeder and plant
bulbs. Nothing is too much trouble. They are very flexible, arranging extra visits to take Mum to medical appointments. Their service has remained totally reliable and uninterrupted during the pandemic which must have been a very difficult time for them. They have far exceeded my expectations. Here's a typical example. About a month ago a caregiver spotted that the pharmacy had sent the wrong medication, an ordinary agency might have asked me to sort it out. Instead, they contacted the pharmacy directly, sorted it out and sent a member of staff to collect the correct medication, keeping me informed all the way. In short, they allow Mum to stay in her own home and keep my mind at rest.

2 years ago a registered blind friend had Home Instead carers who were so caring that they were more like family. When my neighbour, who had no family and whose mobility was severely limited following strokes, needed professional care which I could not give I had no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.
Their named carers were friendly, punctual, knowledgeable and often went beyond a basic 'job'. Home Instead enabled my friend to remain in his own home ensuring that he ate properly and took his medication at the right times. There were occasions when 999 help was needed and his carers would ensure paramedics had the full information. Both the managers and the carers kept me fully informed at all times and it is no exaggeration to say that all at Home Instead treated both my friend and I as though we were part of one large family. Home Instead may not be the cheapest carers but quality of care and enabling someone to remain happy in their own home are more important than money.

Home Instead (Northampton) has provided care-givers three mornings a week for just over three months, helping my 93-year-old mother with shower needs and dressing. The two ladies who attend are always the same team and arrive promptly every time. They are kind, patient, friendly and professional in
all aspects of their work. Managers check records and read visit summaries carefully; they also carry out regular reviews with the client. This is an efficient local organisation and we are very pleased with all aspects of the service. Highly recommended.

I was told by a different carer that Home Instead were expensive, but then she followed up that comment by saying that they were the best in the area. I don't think that they are particularly expensive, but clearly not the cheapest. I also don't know if they are the best in the area but they provide
an excellent service to my mum.

My name is Tina Broadbent. I started with Home Instead in February 2018 and have been in care for about 4 years prior. Upon leaving school I trained as a Chef and worked in the catering sector for just over 10 years. I went back to work in the hotel catering trade for 9-years at the Walnut Tree Inn. During my time there I got chatting with a local customer who was looking for care for his Daughter with complex needs. I loved my time being her PA.

This gave me a completely new angle on care in the community from young adults to our ageing society that want to remain at home. I came to Home Instead after working for another care company and I haven’t looked back. I started as a Care Professional out in the community and had my own lovely clients. I quickly got recognised in the office for other useful qualities, and I’m now full-time in the office.

I’m always thankful to Home Instead for believing in me and seeing my potential.

Outside of work, I have two daughters and my Husband. I enjoy cooking for friends and family. I also enjoy the Gym, walking with the family and the many Dogs we have between us all.

Hi, my name is Hannah Rootes. I have worked for Home Instead Northampton since August 2020 and have recently joined the Client Experience Team. A big part of my role is that I go and meet new clients and create their Care Plans so that we and our Care Professionals can provide the best level of care possible. When I do this my focus is always, on what our clients want to achieve and what is important to them- our clients are at the centre of everything I do. I have lived in Northampton all my life and have enjoyed growing up here. In my life, I have seen all aspects of care, where before working for Home Instead I cared for the family. Due to this, I use all of my experience as a family member of a loved one needing care and as a Care Professional to ensure all of our Clients receive the best care we can provide.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my daughter. I also love to read good books and go for a scenic walk where I can take some photographs with my DSLR camera.
