Home Instead have been superb from day 1. Their customer service is second to none, as is their care. They bend over backwards to make things work and are always 100% available to get hold of, night and day.
Their Carers are kind, caring and extremely patient.
As a team, they work superbly together
and make you truly believe they care and have their client's best interest at heart. There is no weak link, all are outstanding at their roles.

Both my husband and I have been very happy to leave mum in the care of Home Instead who provide one hour in the morning to get mum up, washed, dressed and breakfasted.
It was always going to be a decision between home care or a nursing home, and due to how the situation has turned out with Covid
over the past 12 months - we are very pleased that we decided to leave mum in her own home which she knows and is used to all her possessions around her and is safe.
Without the help of Home Instead at the time (set up November 2019) the situation would have become very difficult for both mum and us as we live so far away.
Mum is happy to be in her own home. She relies on Home Instead and they, in turn, keep an eye on her.
There have been two occasions where an ambulance has been called as mum was ill, but on both times we have been happy to leave this in the hands of the carer including fetching prescriptions. We are confident of mum's care with Home Instead. Well done!

Home Instead carers are like having your own family member to look after your parents. We have had a great experience with all the carers that look after dad - they treat him as though he is their parent or grandparent. Whenever there is a need to speak about the care dad is receiving (changes to things
he needs or other feedback as required) the administration of the company is second to none. I cannot recommend this group of people highly enough and if I ever needed care provided in the future I would hope to get something similar. They are just great - thank you to every single person there.

The Home Instead team have been supporting my father as he was not managing to care for himself properly - he was not taking his medication or eating regularly, and his health was deteriorating.
He is a very proud man and doesn't accept help very easily and the team of caregivers have worked with
him at his pace and have gained his confidence over the weeks and have persisted with their efforts to get him to eat.
The caregivers have gone above and beyond what you would expect from a home care worker - I believe their policy of providing care in one hour slots enables them to take a less rushed approach and build a relationship.
The agency shares information about each visit via an app and this is reassuring to read which care plan goals were met for each visit. They are not the cheapest care agency in the area, but I feel that the quality of the care and support the carers provide, their thoroughness and their genuine and caring nature is worth the additional cost.

The past 12+ months have been tough, when Dad was hospitalised for a month with a few problems and injuries arising from a nasty fall and some increasing dementia-style memory issues and wondering what to do next....we discovered Home Instead (Northampton), when my brother and Dad's sister only thought
permanent residential care was the only solution. We gave them a go.
After a month or two, they got Dad into a routine, got his personal welfare on track, diet, housekeeping, fresh clothes daily, and with the comfort of having his dog by his side to keep him company, and other relatives could now visit Dad with a purpose to check he is ok and comfortable, rather than fixing the everyday problems Dad couldn't manage.
With COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, Dad recently diagnosed with a terminal illness, and living in lockdown overseas, and not able to get back to the UK to visit Dad for a long time now, trying to administer all of Dad's affairs has only been possible due to the fantastic carers and team.

From the initial assessment to the daily visits, my mother and stepfather have found the staff to be professional, efficient and friendly, as have I. They are prompt, courteous and flexible, willing to adapt to the situation that they find on arrival - even during the current lockdown - and all done
with a smile. They may be a little more expensive than other care agencies, but they are worth their weight in gold!

From the very first telephone call with the Deputy Care Manager (DCM) in Oct 2020, I had a good feeling about Home Instead. Soon after the first call, the Deputy Care Manager visited to assess the home environment and define the care plan. Home Instead gave me the feeling from day one that I could trust
them 100% to provide the care my Mum needed.
The whole team did their utmost for the care plan to start at the earliest date possible and it has been operating smoothly ever since.
I particularly liked that a small team of 3 to 4 carers was handpicked by the Deputy Care Manager which ensured the comfort of familiar faces.
After one month of being in place, my Mum was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with a terminal illness. Home Instead reacted instantly and adapted to the changing needs perfectly. They were flexible enough to alternate the care between my Dad when my Mum, registering him as a new client in the process, and then back to my Mum when she was discharged.
From my experience, I highly recommend Home Instead.

Thank you for this wonderful review. It is always a privilege to support a client on their 'final journey' and all of the team were very happy to be able to do this for your mother. It's also so nice that we have been able to continue support for your father and to give him the continuity he deserves in what has been a difficult time for you all.
You have also always been a great communicator with us, which really does help. Best Wishes, Kelly

My name is Tina Broadbent. I started with Home Instead in February 2018 and have been in care for about 4 years prior. Upon leaving school I trained as a Chef and worked in the catering sector for just over 10 years. I went back to work in the hotel catering trade for 9-years at the Walnut Tree Inn. During my time there I got chatting with a local customer who was looking for care for his Daughter with complex needs. I loved my time being her PA.

This gave me a completely new angle on care in the community from young adults to our ageing society that want to remain at home. I came to Home Instead after working for another care company and I haven’t looked back. I started as a Care Professional out in the community and had my own lovely clients. I quickly got recognised in the office for other useful qualities, and I’m now full-time in the office.

I’m always thankful to Home Instead for believing in me and seeing my potential.

Outside of work, I have two daughters and my Husband. I enjoy cooking for friends and family. I also enjoy the Gym, walking with the family and the many Dogs we have between us all.

Job Title: Client Experience Team

Hi, my name is Hannah Rootes. I have worked for Home Instead Northampton since August 2020 and have recently joined the Client Experience Team. A big part of my role is that I go and meet new clients and create their Care Plans so that we and our Care Professionals can provide the best level of care possible. When I do this my focus is always, on what our clients want to achieve and what is important to them- our clients are at the centre of everything I do. I have lived in Northampton all my life and have enjoyed growing up here. In my life, I have seen all aspects of care, where before working for Home Instead I cared for the family. Due to this, I use all of my experience as a family member of a loved one needing care and as a Care Professional to ensure all of our Clients receive the best care we can provide.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my daughter. I also love to read good books and go for a scenic walk where I can take some photographs with my DSLR camera.

I have only been at Home instead for just over a year and everyone is very welcoming, caring and passionate about what they do.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going camping, being outdoors and plenty of movie nights.
