My Homecare (Derby) meets the needs of people who either through illness or injury, have difficulty maintaining their independence and quality of life whilst continuing to live in their own homes.

Home carers are available throughout the Derbyshire area and provide a comprehensive care service for people who need help and assistance. From simple visits for domestic assistance, through to full complex care 24-hour packages.

They provide care services including live-in care which is often an ideal solution for you or a loved one, who needs more intensive support and care whilst wishing to remain living in the comfort of their own home.

My Homecare Derbyshire is a private limited company, established to meet the care and support needs of people wishing to maintain their independence and continue living in their own home across the Derbyshire area. Registered with the Care Quality Commission, the company provides domiciliary care and live in care services, where required.

My Homecare offers the following services:

•        General/personal care. Assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, assistance with daily living i.e. getting up and going to bed
•        Assistance with bathing or showering
•        Meals cooked in your own home and times you wish
•        Domestic Help. Housework, laundry, ironing, shopping, pension collection, gardening.
•        Befriending and Sitting Services. Individually tailored for content, timings and duration.
•        Escorting to appointments/social events.

Their specialist services have developed through experience and training and are listed below:

•        Elderly people with reduced physical capabilities
•        Dementia
• Adults with physical disabilities such as multiple sclerosis, trauma and learning disabilities
•        People with mental health problems such as depression, stress, behavioural issues.

The care that my wife is receiving is first-class. She is confused some days however, after the care she always picks up and feels better in herself. The timings of the carers are excellent and they are always punctual.

The carers that have been visiting my house and looking after me have been very pleasant and professional, cooking and cleaning and taking care of the things that I am unable to do myself. I would recommend to any future prospective clients.

I think my company is absolutely wonderful, my carers are great they make sure they are very polite and very kind, they make my day. Always make me laugh, make me feel very special could not wish for any of my carers to change, all of them are truly wonderful.

There is no doubt the staff are very caring and pleasant. They usually arrive on time as per the arrangements. My only communication with the office was not really good, they seemed to be unorganised. They did not have any of mum's next of kin phone numbers on their system.

All of the carers are respectful to my wife and very well mannered. When they come into our home they all are very happy, they bring sunshine in with them. The only gripe I have got is that a male carer attending, a nice man but embarrassing for my wife. Other than that we have no complaints.

We would prefer an earlier morning visit but that was not available. Most carers are good but some are in a hurry to get away. Some carers do not want to shower my wife, saying the shower chair is not safe.

Very impressed overall with the service.
I can access daily the detailed care notes on the system. I live quite a distance away so it's become my eyes and ears for how my father is every day.
My father seems happy as the staff are patient, helpful and caring.
My Homecare responds to any queries
I have and passes on messages to carers. Also, respond quickly and let me know if any concerns.

Your service is fine, but this is due to one/two certain carers, when other carers come the service level drops considerably as some carers don't know how to service my husband with his personal needs, such as fitting the conveen correctly. If the conveen is ill-fitted it causes discomfort for my husband
as he has to wait for the carer to come in the morning (having been left wet for some hours) and excessive extra work as there is loads of extra washing that this creates.

My Homecare has proved to be a lifeline to me. The carers are great, friendly and assist me every day. I don't know how I would manage without them. I can get in touch with management if I have any queries and they are very helpful.

the carers are very friendly and get on with the care when they arrive. Over time you get to know the carers well and it's sad when they leave as they begin to feel like part of the family. The only fault is they don't wash my dad's hair very often but will if asked. Maybe in the summer months, my dad
could benefit from a wash-at-night visit. Any problems have been dealt with when I have rung the office.

Very good, very reliable, very helpful, would highly recommend. Been looking after my Aunt for a few months now and they’ve done everything they said. From the first meeting to get it all in place. And now have sorted an early call.

The carers of My Homecare are excellent in looking after my father, they sort my father out in the mornings, they get him up, wash him and get him ready for the day. Then at lunchtime, they come and give him his dinner, and then the night call they come to put him to bed.

My father has received excellent care from My Home Care Derby. All the carers are friendly communicative and efficient. Sometimes the job is not easy when dealing with people with dementia, (such as my father) but the carers are always polite and respectful.


I was particularly impressed when my father

had a few weeks in hospital and therefore care had to be suspended. On his return home, his care package resumed immediately allowing him to settle back at home with ease.
I would recommend My Home Care to anyone.

The carers provided by My Homecare have been an absolute godsend for me and in allowing my mum to live at home, by herself, since being diagnosed with Alzheimer's in October 2022. Every carer who has attended has been attentive, polite, empathetic, trustworthy and helpful. I live a substantial distance
away from home and having the carers come in three times a day has been great on a personal level knowing that she is being well looked after. Particularly helpful is the app that allows me to check she is okay and what she has eaten etc. After each visit, again this provides some peace of mind during a difficult time. They have never missed a call and the only occasion they were late, they rang to let me know they'd be slightly later than normal. If I have had to cancel visits due to hospital appointments they have always been cancelled and reinstated with no issues or dramas. Genuinely, I can't thank them enough for their help during a horrible time for me and my mum.

Dianne Williams is the Managing Director and Registered Manager of My Homecare Derby, with over 22 years of experience in the care sector. Her experience spans community, supported living, and residential care. Dianne started her career as a carer and gradually progressed through various roles, including team leader and care coordinator. Dianne spent over 8 years as a registered care home manager before founding My Homecare Derby in 2017, where her leadership has been instrumental in the company's success.


Dianne is highly qualified, holding Level 5 qualifications in Leadership and Management, and has undergone extensive training in various essential areas such as dignity training, where she is also a certified trainer. Additionally, she holds Level 2 certifications in Dementia, Medication, Diabetes, Equality and Diversity, and Mental Health. As a dedicated professional, Dianne regularly updates her knowledge through ongoing training initiatives and maintains close professional ties with peers to exchange insights and seek advice.
