My son always looks forward to his weekly visit and enjoys a friendly chat. The carer is consistently kind and patient and still finds time to clean his flat and encourage his participation and to help sort out some of his untidiness.

We have only been using Bluebird Care for a few weeks and have met a few of the Bluebird ladies. They are all very friendly and helpful. Even on early morning calls, they are bright and cheerful and they tidy up after their visit very carefully.

The care plan Bluebird developed for my brother was thorough, understanding and compassionate, and has so far been very well managed. My brother receives two short visits per day, mainly for medical purposes, but the carers most often find enough time to give him some much-needed domestic help. More
importantly, they are considerate and friendly people who value what they're doing, hence my brother always looks forward to their visits. I can't imagine things going better for him so far!

We will soon be entering our eighth year with Bluebird Care South Somerset who continue to provide exemplary care to my daughter. Over this time her care needs have increased significantly and as each change comes about, they work with us to ensure that her care plan takes these into account. This is
all done in a very seamless way. The care staff are kind, and good-humoured and show an interest in the things that she enjoys. The administration team/rota planning staff are excellent and go out of their way to work with us to enable my daughter to participate in those activities outside of the home that she so enjoys. This care company is the one constant, stable part of my daughter's life enabling her to live at home, with their support. Thank you.

Dad was extremely independent and not at all sure about letting carers into his home but he quickly came to look forward to the visits and had a lovely chat with all the carers. Dad's needs are limited at the moment but I know that he will want to have more help soon. I cannot speak highly enough about
all aspects of the care given to Dad. As a family, we are reassured that Dad is happy and comfortable, thank goodness we chose Bluebird Care, they are all angels in disguise. Thank you so much.

Mum has accepted the excellent care and support from the Bluebird Care team to enable her to live in her own home independently but safely. This has only been made possible because of the empathy and care from the team recognising that people thrive in their own homes with support and understanding.

The carers visiting my mum are exceptional. They are kind, caring and patient. Mum is so much better knowing that she has help and support every day. The management team are incredibly helpful. This is our first experience of having a relative who needs care. The management team have explained everything
and the systems to us and have helped us enormously. I would completely recommend Bluebird Care, their managers and their team.

It gives me great peace of mind to know that a lovely, kind team of carers are looking after my mother. The carers have gone beyond what is asked of them. They make her laugh and feel cared for. They have given me advice and tips on how to help care for my mother, who has Alzheimer's Disease. As care
needs to be increased, this is discussed in a kind and thoughtful manner - nothing is imposed.

I have found that the carers are very conscientious and are always very mind full of my uncle's needs.
My uncle seems to be happy and gets on well with the carers and support staff.
My uncle always looks clean and tidy. Regular hair cuts have been organised by the supervisor, and he receives weekly
check-ups by a nurse.
If my uncle has a health issue, medical advice is always sought.

We have had Bluebird Care South Somerset for over 18-months for my father, who now lives at home with us. The team are exemplary and have met Dad's needs with professionalism and empathy. The team lead expertise is a constant source of support and advice, particularly during a very difficult few months
as Dads health has deteriorated. Helping me to deal with the hospital and ensuring that Dad's needs are met when he comes home. They look after him with such attention to detail, reporting back anything that I should be aware of and working with me in dealing with his various issues. On one occasion identified that his breathing was not as it should be, so I was able to monitor him more closely, which eventually led to hospitalisation a few hours later. They are so caring and attentive to both Dad and myself, it is very much a team effort; I couldn't look after Dad at home without them. Basically, they are amazing as well as professional. The office staff are equally kind, professional and patient.

We contacted BlueBird following a recommendation on Next Door. My mother in law is staying with us for 8 days before she moves in permanently in January. She is not the easiest and can sometimes be challenging. We have had a few different carers over the last week and they have all been fantastic -
very professional, patient and caring. Importantly to us, they have encouraged her to be independent and not patronised her, something which I have experienced with other agencies in the past. Thank you to the manager and your team.

My family has found Bluebird Care very helpful and reliable in caring for our mother over the last 8 months. They are flexible and responsive to requests and carry out their tasks efficiently. Their support has been essential during the pandemic. Mum especially values the friendliness of her carers
as the social aspect of the visits is particularly important at the current time of restrictions.

Bluebird provided live-in care for my bed-ridden father in the final three weeks of his life. I cannot fault the care provided. The live-in carer who stepped in at very short notice did an amazing job looking after Dad full time as well as getting up to speed so quickly with the domestic management
of his bungalow – mastering the kitchen appliances, making sure the bins went out on the right day, and generally keeping the place clean and spotless. She was a very caring and sensitive person.
She was ably supported by the local team, one of whom visited three times each day to help with his personal care. They were always cheerful, kind and unhurried – despite the demands of their schedule and the extra incumbrance of operating in PPE. Just days before he died, Dad told one of my cousins how much he appreciated being at home able to look out on his garden and how he was enjoying all the care and attention he was getting. What more can I say?

Bluebird Care South Somerset looked after my terminally ill wife for quite a few weeks. They came three times a day to look after her hygiene etc and I could not fault them. They were very caring, professional and went out of their way to make sure she was as comfortable as possible.

I have had care from Bluebird Care South Somerset for at least 2 years now and my experience has been positive. The fact that they may be a little late sometimes is probably another index of the popularity of the service they offer.

My parents were in a crisis, and I contacted Bluebird, and almost immediately my stress levels were reduced by the reassurance, professionalism and care by the management of our family's situation. Care was in place on the day I was told it would be, and the carer is truly amazing. I no longer worry
about what is happening at my parent's home when I am not with them. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Bluebird.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
