The Review Score of 9.8 (9.800) out of 10 for Cheriton Homecare Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 5.000 for Cheriton Homecare Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (47 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 5
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)
The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Cheriton Homecare Ltd is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager
Joined: 1997
As the Registered Manager and Founder of Cheriton Homecare, my focus is on ensuring that our clients, their families, and our team feel valued and supported. I believe care should enhance quality of life, not just meet basic needs, and I’m committed to upholding that standard in everything we do.
My journey into care started after struggling to find quality support for my own family. I wanted to create a service that prioritised the little things that truly matter to people. With over three decades of experience, beginning as an Army medic, I’ve learned that the heart of great care is making people feel important.
My leadership style is calm and direct, rooted in open communication and honesty. I’m passionate about motivating my team and fostering a supportive environment, offering mentorship and always encouraging personal growth. I’m also proud to have implemented systems that not only meet legal and regulatory standards but keep the focus on clients’ well-being.
Outside of work, I enjoy art, antique furniture, and travel—interests that often spark conversations with clients and staff alike. After a long day, I unwind in my garden, finding peace in nature. I believe that through strong relationships and a clear vision, I can lead Cheriton Homecare in making a meaningful difference.
My approach? Stay true to the values that matter, and always put people first.
Job Title: Assistant Manager
Joined: 2017
As the Assistant Manager at Cheriton Homecare, my role spans various parts of the company, but my primary focus is managing our finances, social media, and online presence, while also being Richard’s second-in-command. I like to stay informed about every aspect of the business and help ensure that our operations run smoothly.
I started at Cheriton creating online content, and over the past eight years, I’ve taken on more responsibilities. I’m proud of the impact we’ve made through our online presence, and I’ve helped build our reputation with client reviews and feedback.
My colleagues would describe me as loyal, kind, and straightforward, with an eye for detail. Building relationships through honesty and openness is key to my approach. One of the most meaningful parts of my job is my connection with our client Margaret. When I first met her at 96, we had been told she might only have a few weeks or months left, but here we are two years later, and I still bring her flowers and Thornton chocolates. Her face lights up when I walk into her room, and it fills me with happiness. I also bring her a magnet from every place I visit, which she proudly displays on her bed frame. It’s moments like these that make my role so rewarding.
In terms of leadership, I believe in clear communication and being approachable, but always find time to have fun as a team. My calm but direct style helps keep the team motivated and engaged. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and spending time with my partner, whether we’re cooking together or relaxing at the cinema.
Job Title: Care Coordinator and Head of Recruitment
Joined: 2019
As a Care Coordinator at Cheriton Homecare, I play a key role in managing our carers, recruitment, daily admin, and supporting our team. I’ve been with Cheriton for over four years now, and the most important lesson I’ve learned is to never be afraid to ask for help or guidance. I love being part of a company that’s constantly growing, with an amazing team that’s always supportive.
One of my favourite parts of the job is having conversations with our wonderful clients. Hearing them ask specifically to speak with me is a real highlight of my day. I’m known around the office for being the life of the party—there’s never a dull moment when I’m around! My bubbly enthusiasm helps keep the team motivated, and I’m always pushing them to be their best.
I value honest communication and build relationships by being open and approachable. My leadership style is clear and effective, and I always make sure my team feels supported and engaged. Sometimes, just taking a break or getting a change of scenery helps us solve the toughest problems.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my little boy and my partner. After a busy day at work and home, I unwind with some me-time and a little pampering.
At 24, balancing my career and being a mum keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Job Title: Field Care Supervisor
Joined: 2021
As a Field Care Supervisor at Cheriton Homecare, I am responsible for completing forms and risk assessments, building care plans for clients, and delivering personal protection equipment. I also meet new or potential clients to gather the information needed for their profiles and step in as a domiciliary or live-in carer when necessary.
I’ve been working in the care field for 3 years, starting as a care assistant, but I enjoy the social aspect of my current role. The greatest lesson I’ve learned is patience and finding joy in the small things, especially when seeing the positive changes I help make in clients’ lives.
My colleagues would describe me as easy-going and kind, and I believe it’s important to be dependable and trustworthy. I always support those around me, and I’m not afraid to take risks—moving to England was a leap of faith, but it’s been a rewarding experience.
I bring two years of practical training as a live-in carer, which taught me valuable lessons that go beyond classroom learning. I regularly update my training through refresher courses and am always ready to step in when needed.
Outside of work, I enjoy crocheting, painting, and ice skating. Many of my clients take an interest in these hobbies, and it’s a lovely way to connect. In my downtime, I enjoy reading or walking around the park.
I want clients and staff to feel that I’m approachable and eager to help. I’m always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone’s needs are met.
Job Title: Software Organiser & Administrator
Joined: 2022
As the Software Organiser and Administrator at Cheriton Homecare, my role varies every day. I focus on problem-solving and ensuring that our software runs smoothly. With almost two years in this role, the most important lesson I’ve learned is to stay organised and keep track of everything I’m working on.
I’m passionate about solving technical issues and enjoy diving into challenges to find solutions. Whether it's fixing a software glitch or co-creating new systems for our clients, I love being able to think on my feet and stay one step ahead.
My colleagues would describe me as charismatic and fun to be around. I value good relationships with my coworkers and always approach problems with an open mind. One of my proudest moments was troubleshooting a major software issue and implementing a temporary fix until we could resolve it fully.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing football and video games, which help me unwind. After a long day, I like to relax with a cup of tea or clear my head by doing something active.
I’d say my approach to my role is a mix of empathy, confidence, and energy. I want clients and colleagues to see me as approachable and receptive—someone who’s always ready to help and find the best solution.
Job Title: Training & Recruitment Coordinator
Joined: 2022
As a Recruiter at Cheriton Homecare, I’m responsible for managing applications, setting recruitment plans, and interviewing candidates. I love making a positive impact by helping people land their dream jobs and enjoy meeting new faces along the way.
Though I’ve been with the company for less than a year, I’ve learned that patience and appreciation are key. I approach every interaction with respect and trust, focusing on listening and giving people space.
One memorable experience was handling a difficult interview where the candidate tried to take control. I stayed calm and patient, ensuring the situation was managed smoothly. Results and achieving targets motivate me, and I take pride in prioritising the team’s needs.
With a CIPD certificate in HR and a Master’s in Globalisation in HR, I stay up to date through my CIPD membership. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, cooking, and spending time with my children, which helps me stay balanced.
I want people to see me as approachable, patient, and someone who values simplicity. Seeing others happy is what makes my role truly fulfilling.
