Excellent, reliable support; efficiently and very quickly arranged at an extremely difficult time. Everyone was cheerful and a delight to welcome into my home. They really lightened my days - I am so very grateful for their help, care, and kindness.

I can't praise In Safe Hands (community care providers) highly enough. On each home visit they were professional in their approach, kindly in manner, discreet and important for many clients- punctual!

Community care can be a difficult and challenging occupation at the best of times, this provider's

staff however seemed to instinctively and quickly get on to terms with any task that was required of them without fuss or complaint. In simple terms I guess it's what's known as 'good training'!

To conclude I would not hesitate in recommending In Safe Hands to anyone who was thinking of engaging a community care provider. I would, and will, happily call on them again in the future should the need arise.

In Safe Hands has a lot of very nice and caring care workers but unfortunately controlled by a very poor management team. My wife's visit times were changed again without any notification or discussion. I complained about 1 call time, my wife wasn't happy with a much later evening call. So because I
complained they terminated my 75 Yr old wife's care package... thoughtless.

Reply from Maria, Duputy Manager at In Safe Hands Community Care Services

We have supported and continue to support many families who recommend and value the care and support we provide as a company. We thrive on our reputation of providing excellent care and support and will always continue to follow our ethos of "looking after our service users as if they were our own family". From time to time we are faced with a situation where we are unable to meet what we feel, are unrealistic expectations, therefore the best option for everyone is to reluctantly terminate our care. Unfortunately, this was one of those situations that we felt were never going to be able to resolve despite our efforts. We will never terminate anyone's care without first attempting to resolve the situation and further speaking with social services about those expectations, if we feel a situation cannot be resolved after this, we will agree with social services to source alternative care.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.9 (7.853) out of 10 for In Safe Hands Community Care Services is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.353 for In Safe Hands Community Care Services is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) + (2 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 17 Ratings = 4.353

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for In Safe Hands Community Care Services is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
