I started in care in 1986 with social services as a hospital care worker in the community, then progressed to a senior and an NVQ assessor, I wanted to progress and left social services in 1998 to be a coordinator for a private company after 6 months I was made deputy manager so went to college in the evenings and got my certificate in management I was then promoted to manager. In 2000 I achieved a diploma in management. I have been a registered care manager ever since working in different locations and care companies. I have worked in Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire during my time as a manager.
I have always been passionate and committed to care, I love my role I find it a very rewarding job, working my way up from the bottom gives me a great understanding of the roles in care.
