My Homecare has experienced carers available in and around Sutton, Epsom and Banstead areas.

In addition they provide include live-in care for people who need more intensive support and care whilst wishing to remain living in the comfort of their own home.

In the end only had wonderful carers for 4 days as my husband was sadly admitted to a Hospice and passed away, but they were reliable, efficient, professional and so very kind to him and myself too at an extremely upsetting and stressful time. Also wanted to say the staff who I spoke to in the office
and the lovely lady who came out originally to meet us and assess our needs were also brilliant. Really appreciate all everyone did for us.

My nan had dementia and was quite a hard character to deal with and didn't take to a lot of people. We had carers around from the hospital but my nan could be very difficult and wouldn't let them in again. The girl's at My Homecare knew exactly how to deal with her, she nick-named one of the girl's
'lashes'. They always turned up on time and were reliable and if there was any problems we knew they would be there to help. The care and support they offer is outstanding.

On the whole, the service has improved but when we ask for specific times i.e. for hospital appointments, going out etc the times seem to be always altered, which puts a strain on us as some of these appointments are very important. The girls work hard and apply a good caring service.

Very helpful and friendly carer's who put themselves out to look after the needs of my wife and do everything they can to make sure she is happy and comfortable. Very reassuring to have a company that I can trust and carer's who go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

The carers are late a lot, especially afternoon calls, Friday nights and weekends up to 2 hours late! My mother's calls are 8am, 12 noon, 4pm and 8pm. We have never accepted male carers, but they keep telling us they have to send him as there is no one else. But we have to keep phoning to refuse him.
Also, a lot of the latest carers are so young 17, 18, 20 year olds, and now I hear they are employing two 16 year olds! Too young. The carers say a reason they are late, but the office give a different reason.

Thank you for your comments, we work to a very high standard at My Homecare, we are very disappointed to read this review, on the more sensitive subjects we do not wish to reply in such a public manner. However, we employ young adults at My Homecare and this is on a government-backed apprenticeship scheme. Our apprentice staff are placed with experienced members of staff and trained to enable them to gain the skills required to one day further their careers in the care sector. The social care sector is always in need of staff and we feel running this scheme here not only supports young adults to gain necessary skills and qualifications but enables us to support the growing demand and need for social care staff. These staff members are otherwise recruited and trained before starting, the same way any other staff member is. This scheme allows staff to gain their level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care while earning and gaining experience and we feel lucky to be able to offer it.
