Right at Home have provided my husband, initially with personal care support both mornings and evenings seven days per week. This was increased to a live-in carer 4 months ago. They are a wonderful organisation, all their carers are very professional, helpful, polite and well trained. They have become
friends of our family. We would not hesitate to highly recommend them.

We have been using carers from Right at Home for my sister. They are extremely kind, very helpful and very professional in their work. We are very happy with the service provided by Right at Home. If you need any further help the care coordinators are always willing to go the extra mile to assist
you. We really could not manage without their wonderful help and we highly recommend this service. Many thanks to all the staff.

I was relieved when a cataract operation required the administration of eye drops so that I was able to get the client to accept carers coming in to see her in her own home. She has dementia and was forgetting to take medication, eat etc., and yet can't accept that she needs care, as she is generally
in excellent physical health for a nonagenarian. However, the carers were so friendly and able to deal with her moods, that she said she would miss them. We are now happy with three visits a day, ensuring that she is eating properly, helping with medication and improving hygiene and generally she enjoys the company. She has no close kin living nearby but is determined to live in her home for as long as possible. I have received information from the carers that has enabled us to keep her out of hospital. I recommend this agency for the flexibility in organising a care package with a stable set of carers that is enabling her to safely live at home without feeling isolated.

The care my mum received from the team was excellent. All the careers got to know her well and were able to detect changes in her behaviour that indicated the onset of an infection. They quickly called for medical intervention and kept me informed.
The communication from the care agency was excellent
and they were never hesitant to help communicate with outside agencies.
The care given to mum was tailored to her needs and reviewed continually. Mum really enjoyed her visits from all the carers. They were always prompt and worked efficiently. They made time to chat with mum which helped keep her mood bright even though her quality of life was not good due to her being bed bound for the last six months.
As well as looking after mum so well the managers and carers always had time for a chat with me which helped with some of the stress I was feeling. Mum has now passed away but I will always be grateful for the care provided by the agency.

The manager went above and beyond to help our family through a very stressful time when my mum was in and out of hospital after major surgery. Nothing was too much trouble and the care provided was fantastic.

We have been using Right at Home for a while now, we had reserved giving any feedback intentionally due to poor service provided by other companies that we had used in the past.
It's never easy allowing strange people into your home to provide care.
It is refreshingly nice to come across an agency
who keeps its promises and provides a service where its carers actually care about the people they are looking after on a daily basis, backed up by a first-class management team.
It’s the small detail that makes caring received from Right at Home a pleasure, weekly schedules, ease of contact, and regular reviews all help in making you feel reassured. If you’re looking for an agency who will work with you, listen, and generally gets things right, look no further.
Please keep all your hard work up Right At Home, we for sure will continue to use your excellent service.

Right at Home provided care for my elderly mum after it became clear she could no longer cope without assistance in her everyday living. The team were great and such a support to my family and looked after Mum in a genuinely caring and dignified manner. I was very worried initially that care at home
may not be the correct solution to my mum's needs but with such a supportive and friendly team it soon became evident that things would all work out for the best. Having Right at Home's carers coming in twice a day was a great support to my mum and allowed her to stay in her own home when we thought she may not be able to. I would thoroughly recommend their service to anyone who has an elderly relative that needs that bit of everyday support. They were so good, ensuring Mum's medication was taken at the correct times and helping around the house with general washing and tidying when needed, along with keeping a close eye on Mum's general health and happiness. A five star all round service.

From the start, the manager and her team have been amazing. They have gone out of their way to ensure that my mother is cared for well and are constantly reviewing the package and coming up with suggestions for improvement.

Each carer that has helped my mother has been lovely and she is always greeted

with a smile and a chat. Mum is constantly telling us how well she gets on with them and looks forward to their daily visits.

There is always someone on the end of a phone at the office to answer any queries and the manager will call us if she has any concerns. I don’t believe that my mother could be cared for any better.

My father-in-law has received weekend care from Right at Home for the last month. This agency received such positive reviews I was keen to get them on board for him but they were based in Harrow; lovely news to find that they were opening in Borehamwood and they have certainly fulfilled all expectations.
Great communications and a lovely carer, with whom my father-in-law is very happy. Having used care agencies with my own parents (and, unfortunately, received less than sterling service) I am very fussy but I would have no hesitation in strongly recommending this agency for their professionalism and excellent care.

Having spent the past 11 years working as the Registered Manager for a market-leading Home Care provider in Central London, I felt it was time to move closer to home and give something back to my own local community here in Borehamwood.

I registered as a Nurse in 1995 having trained at the Royal Free Hospital and stayed registered with the NMC till October 2017. I specialised in Haematology Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplants and was a trained Chemotherapy Nurse.

I later took this experience to work in a business setting supplying specialist Nurses to both the NHS and the private sector. I progressed as the Registered Manager of the Homecare team where I worked for 6 years. I was so proud of the team I built and the service we provided. I loved nothing more than visiting clients in their own homes, seeing how comfortable they were and knowing that we had a part to play in supporting them.

My father started his own business at my age and it became the source of many family conversations giving me an unofficial degree in business studies. Matched with my Nursing qualifications, I became extremely successful in a business environment.

I thrive in the home care setting as it gives me the opportunity to use both my clinical skills and my love of business and over the past few years, this has become my passion. I’ve been living in Borehamwood for over 10 years and prior to that lived in Radlett for 8 years. I grew up abroad in the Middle East and Canada and I’ve travelled around South East Asia and Australia, Nursing, as well as working on a yacht as a deckhand, attempting a job as a snorkelling safari lead, and completing my advanced scuba diving course!

These days, in my spare time, I am busy with my 13-year-old daughter and husband and our gorgeous puppy Dillon.

I have worked as a Carer for 8 years and previously worked for Goldsborough where I developed my skills in working as a Senior Carer.

I have been working for Right at Home since September 2018 and have continued to develop my skills and I now work as a Team Leader. I am also a Falls Champion which enables me to ensure that our clients are kept safe at home.

I enjoy working as a carer knowing that I am keeping clients safe and happy in their own environment. Knowing that I may be the only person that the client sees throughout the day feels keeps me motivated to do the utmost I can for each and every one.

I wouldn’t change my job and work for R&H is the best move I have made for myself and my career.

I’ve recently got back into care following a career in the construction industry, including recruitment in construction.

I discovered care during the first Covid lockdown in March 2020 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The most satisfying part of my work is supporting our clients in improving their independence and watching them improve their quality of living. I recently started caring for a lady who struggled to lift her head off the pillow. It was an absolute joy to watch her walking to her front door using her frame, to answer the doorbell.

I’ve recently been given the challenge of working as a Team Leader and I love working with more junior staff, teaching them but also, learning from them.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, walking my dogs, and spending time with my young family.
