Mum is happy with the care she receives from all the staff who attend to her. The dedication and careful thought in carrying out all cares is excellent. Management I have given poor due to not acting on my concerns over Mum being left in bed until 11 am twice a week while carers are being sent to Tadcaster
in Mum's slot.

Reply from Gerry Petts, Customer Experience Quality Officer at Lotus Home Care Leeds

It sounds like you have some positive feedback about the care your mum is receiving. This will be passed onto all care staff for all their hard work. The branch will be in touch to discuss the call times.

We had no experience with the "care" system before the year. I have been pleasantly surprised by what I have found. The carers are all nice people and are polite and pleasant and get in with their duties in a professional manner. Indeed I actively look forward to their daily visits.

It's wonderful to hear that your experience with the care system has been positive! It can often be a concern for many, so it's reassuring to know that you've found the carers to be professional, friendly, and reliable. It's great that you look forward to their visits, it sounds like they've made a meaningful impact on your daily life. This will be passed on to both the Management Team and the Carers.

Review has not changed. Sometimes carers come late. Then I get annoyed. They don't let me know. It's same questions.

Reply from gerry petts, Customer Experience Quality Officer at Lotus Home Care Leeds

It sounds like you're frustrated with carers who are coming late and not communicating with you about it, that can be really annoying, especially when you're expecting things to run smoothly. I understand that it can feel repetitive with the same questions as well. This will be passed to the team to action.

Same carer for 18 months - with approximately 30 - 40 carers to assist her. Never informed about changes to times etc. Sometimes appear 1 hour early or 1 hour late. No messages! The office from which they work never contact. If we lose our main carer we would look for another provider.

I am very happy with the company. The office keeps me informed if there are any changes that would affect me. The two people who are my carers are very nice and are very respectful towards me and take time to listen to me if I need to tell them of anything to do with my illnesses.

I have found the company very efficient, we have had a few small issues which have been effectively and easily resolved by office staff.
The carers are absolutely brilliant and have given me support, encouragement and most importantly empathy, help and good consistency due to working a four/three rota
which is helpful to me, the carers and my family.

Lovely staff.
Improvements would be getting more exact time for visits. Carers wiping down surfaces after shower.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.500) out of 10 for Lotus Home Care Leeds is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.500 for Lotus Home Care Leeds is calculated as follows: ( (11 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 18 Ratings = 4.5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Lotus Home Care Leeds is based on 3 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 4

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager

I have been in care for over 30 years. My first job was working in a care home as a senior carer. I then wanted to experience working in Domiciliary care as a support worker. I was aware of the importance of clients wanting to remain in their own homes with fewer restrictions and being able to keep their own routines in familiar surroundings from here I then progressed to care coordinator. I was then offered the opportunity to join Lotus Home Care in 2018 where I worked as a Registered Manager in the Leeds branch before leaving in 2022. I then rejoined back in 2023. I believe in delivering high-quality person-centred care ensuring all my clients and staff are treated with the utmost respect dignity, and empathy and always having an ear to listen.
